Working here as a CNA has been fulfilling. I've always desired to care for the sick and disabled and I feel I'm at the right place. The staff team is incredibly helpful and motivating. The overall hygiene standard at the facility is amazing. I would recommend this facility to anyone who wishes trusted and professional care for their loved ones.

I have worked at Our Lady of Hope in Short Pump, Virginia, for almost three years. My colleagues are dedicated, hardworking, and passionate about caring for each person. Our health center is absolutely beautiful, and our residents are some of the most amazing people I have ever met. I love my job as an Assisted Living Life Enrichment Coordinator and look forward to getting up and serving our community every morning. I am so grateful to work for a company such as CSM, which allows me to make a difference in the lives of our community. You must come and experience this incredible place.

I am blessed to be a part of an awesome team of people. The staff here really care and want the best for our residents and their families. I love that Our Lady of Hope takes a wholistic approach to recovery and life at the center. As the chaplain I get to see this on a daily basis.

Our Lady of Hope was an amazing facility for my mother (Louanne Carnwath) while she was rehabilitating from a fall. Everyone was friendly, kind, and dedicated to her rehabilitation. Nurses Shelly and Rose went above and beyond to get to know my mom in order to better care for her. They genuinely cared for her and it showed in my mother daily. Shelly and Rose were professional and always prepared for anything we threw at them. All the nurses that cared for my mom were amazing. The doctors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, housekeepers, and everyone else that had a part in my mom's recovery were also phenomenal! I would recommend Our Lady of Hope to anyone needing a rehabilitation facility. It meant everything to our family that my mom was happy and so well cared for. My mom left Our Lady of Hope not as a patient but as family to all involved in her care.

After an extremely difficult trip to the hospital, my mother was transported to our lady of Hope for rehab therapy. What a great experience we had with the facility and the staff. Everyone was delightful to deal with, but in particularly, We were fortunate enough to have a wonderful team consisting of Shelly, Rose, and Titianna. Even though Rose is getting ready to have a baby and Shelly just recently had a baby, the Three of them were relentless and making sure my mother's needs were taken care of. Not just physically, but they were also very concerned with her being mentally and socially adjusted. I also want to recognize Delorese, the social worker, for being extremely instrumental in getting my mother placed into a nursing facility after rehab. I hope they all get the deserved recognition.

We would like to express our gratitude to the staff at Our Lady of Hope for the care and rehabilitation provided to me during my two month stay recovering from a Tib/Fib fracture! We would like to express special thanks to two individuals on the nursing staff. Nurse Tami Smith was always on time with medications, was excellent with wound care and always had a word of encouragement. CNA "T" entered my room each morning like a breath of fresh air! She was always energetic and had a smile in her voice. Her attention to detail was very helpful in light of my blindness. She was empathetic during stressful times. Many thanks to the Physical Therapy Team for their care and encouragement. Special thanks go to Teri, Brittany and Meredith! Without their care I would not have been able to walk out of Our Lady of Hope on my own! Charles Hudson

I would like to recognize Rose for all her love , care and support in helping my mother get to where she is today ! Thank you Rose , you are an incredible caring person that should be rewarded for going over and above the duties of her job !

My dad had a fall and was treated at Our Lady of hope for his rehab. Everyone has heard horror stories about health care facilities so we were obviously concerned when he was admitted From the minute I started making arrangements to move him until the day he was discharged, Everyone we dealt with was fantastic. Jenna mad e the initial admission and dealing with insurance a seamless process. All of the nurses and care partners were fantastic. They treated my dad like family. I felt they really cared about him and that he was not just another patient or just a job. When he was being discharged and we had to move to another facility they helped me with every step and gave me the flexibility to choose the date. I cant say enough about our experience there. My dad is not an easy person to please and he still talks about how great the staff at Our lady of Hope was.

Jenna, Tammy and Della plus the countless nurses made my dad's stay incredible. He loved them and they loved him. I was always felt kept up to date on my dad's condition and tests. Everyone is so friendly. Never did I feel uncomfortable to ask a question or have a request. The entire staff went out of their way to make everything easy as possible. I highly recommend Our Lady of Hope to anyone looking for senior care or rehab. Theses people made the last months of my dad's life wonderful!

Five Stars means Excellent. If I could award Our Lady of Hope more than 5 stars, I would. Our family chose OLofH as the Rehab setting for my mother following a stroke. From our first interface with Jenna, she and every other experience have been excellent. Jenna was warm and welcoming, made the admitting process effortless, and immediately provided us a lengthy directory of services, plus staff names, responsibilities and contact information. Our very first contact was the day charge nurse in Rehab: Shelly. Our family includes two ER doctors, 2 RNs, a Masters in Oriental Medicine and 2 Social Master-level Workers. Therefore, we have high expectations. Our expectations were exceeded. Shelly is exceptional. She definitely is a star in nurse watch care of her patients. Nursing and staff aides who assisted Shelly in excellent care are Sandra, Tiffany, Crystal, Jazz and Myisha. We also enjoyed the professionalism and warmth of Jen, the night charge nurse. While we can not list every name, every nursing and aide staff member with whom we interfaced was truly great. And the DON, Cheryl, on a holiday weekend went above and beyond to assist our family with the logistics of the transition my mother made from Rehab to hospice. It was sad, new and frankly frightening to us; and Cheryl gifted us peace in a new and unknown situation. The 2 first therapy staff to greet us were Terry, PT and Meredith, O.T. Both caring, committed, and skilled professionals. Even on days Terry and Meredith were not her direct care, they BOTH stopped in to greet my mother and cheer her on. Ably assisting them, Jamie, Jai, Clai, Courtney, ALL, also warm approachable, superior Rehab therapists. And my mother just perked up every time Abby, Speech Therapist, came in. Abby created a fun, energetic space to help my mother regain speech post aphasia. I think our family probably made Sodene, RN want to close her door because we "popped in" so much to check on health coverage updates Sodene was excellent and was always approachable and compassionate. We must mention Dr. Wright. PERFECT physician for Rehab, Long Term Care and Hospice and we traveled through each. Dr. Wright was responsive, educative, compassionate and managed to deliver hard medical updates with warmth and concern. And finally, back to Shelly! A true STAR, who captained both staff and us, as family through the end of Life with grace and unfailing nursing skill and human kindness! Our family stands all amazed at Our Lady of Hope. You delivered what you promised: Hope. Thank You!!! Betsy Chatlin, LCSW, CLC

There is a major lack of communication from the social services director at Our Lady Hope. If you have a family member on temporary stay, be prepared for frustration. The nurses and therapists have been very nice, but nobody can provide any information. This is not a HIPPA situation. My mom was transferred there for two weeks of IV medication. At the end of the medication, she was told she would be there another two weeks by a physical therapist. They relay no information to the patient as to why, what steps they are taking now, or what they would like to see happen after her discharge. Imagine being told you are being held for another two weeks and nobody providing any additional info. The nursing station doesn't know the plan. Therapy doesn't know the plan. The patient doesn't know the plan. The family doesn't know the plan. Imagine the frustration of driving over there to ask again and again. It's like being in a hospital room and the doctor never comes to see you for weeks. The staff really is nice, but without communication to anyone, they can't be recommended. The social services director does everyone else in the building a disservice. You might be better off going elsewhere. This is difficult time for everyone. Our Lady Hope makes the experience harder by leaving everyone in the dark.

We have a family member here. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The facility is always clean and well-maintained. There's a good assortment of a services and amenities at the home. They have a salon and a church on premise. Good location not far from most shopping location, and have trips that they'll take that for weekly shopping.
September 2021
We are most appreciative of the care our mother has received from Our Lady of Hope and the relationships that she's developed. She has been a resident in Assisted Living for 28 months. The staff is observant of her needs and available to help as she needs it. We have established an open line of communication and look forward to a time when we can all gather again and enjoy their hospitality.
August 2021
My mother has been at Our Lady of Hope for over a year now - first in Rehab and now in Assisted Living. She is 102, and I would not want her anywhere else. All of the staff works well together, with the residents, and with the families. Mom has received great care and compassion, and Our Lady of Hope has always kept me informed of changes in her condition, care instructions, and anything else relevant to her experience in the facility. They have been AMAZING during this COVID-19 pandemic to keep everyone well and well informed.

OUR LADY OF HOPE, WORKING THERE AS A CNA FRESH OUT OF SCHOOL..... IT'S A NO FOR ME.. THE NURSING STAFF IS LAZY (NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT) NURSE'S SITTING AT THE NURSING STATION ON TIKTOK AND FACETIME WITH WHOEVER. CNA'S CAN HARDLY TAKE A BREAK 16 PATIENTS PER CNA. SOME OF THEM NURSE'S WON'T EVEN ANSWER A CALL BELL TO HELP THE CNA'S OUT. I'M BEYOND CONFUSED... I THOUGHT REGARDLESS OF YOU JOB TITLE IN THIS MEDICAL FIELD WE WERE ARE HEALTHCARE "TEAM. NOT AT THIS PLACE. DEFINITELY WILL BE CALLING CORPORATE AND PROBABLY STATE.

I consider myself lucky to be able to work in such a great place like OLOH!! I have never felt more like part of a family in a work environment and I have witnessed first hand how compassionate and dedicated our staff is to all of our patients and residents. I would never hesitate on sending a loved one to this wonderful place.
February 2021
My mom has been back and forth between the Nursing Center and Assisted Living sections of OLOH over the last 8 months, and my family and I are very happy with the care she receives on a daily basis. The ENTIRE staff is responsive and works hard to make sure she is healthy as well as happy (despite dealing with all the COVID restrictions). From what we've seen, the staff works together as a team to ensure the residents are cared for and have what they need.
January 2021
Our Lady of Hope is a great place to work. The staffing levels and teamwork here are better than any of the other senior living communities that I have worked in. The staff truly cares about the residents and it shows.
December 2020
I have worked at Our Lady of Hope for over 12 years and I am extremely proud to work here. I would not go back to working at any other Long Term Care Facility. Here at Hope the staff sincerely care for our residents and it shows! Congratulations team on the "Best Skilled Nursing Care" award in the Greater Richmond Area!
October 2020
Three years ago I found Our Lady of Hope by web search. My opinion of the facility today is better than my initial impression upon walking in the door in March of 2017. The staff is amazing, the care is outstanding. I fully believe my mom is alive today because of the care she has received since becoming a resident. COVID has been a non-issue and they have made multiple accommodations to allow "connections" to continue during the pandemic. If you want the peace of mind of knowing that your loved one is being cared for don't think twice about OLOH.

I am a 68-year-old male internal medicine physician who had the privilege to spend five weeks recovering from a serious injury at our lady of hope in Richmond Virginia. As I responded to treatment, the staff came to me to discuss Discharge planning. My response was that I was ready to leave at any time, but they would find my fingernail marks on the door jam as they dragged me out. Everyone from administrators to Physicians to nursing staff to physical therapists to speech therapists to recreational therapists to aides and patients made the experience not only therapeutic but home like. I will always be grateful and cannot recommend the facility highly enough.
November 2018
My Dad was in OLOH for over 4 months this year recovering from a stroke. We could not be more thankful for the care they provided. When he was scheduled to be discharged from the acute care hospital, we were not sure what to do next. We happened across OLOH because someone my Mom knew years ago had said good things about it and she remembered. All of the sons live out of state and I just happened to be in town one weekend and we were lucky enough to find Katherine, the Social Worker, and Jenna, the Admissions Director, working over the weekend. We scheduled a tour for the next day and registered to have him transferred there. He made remarkable progress with the therapists from Genesis who took a strong, personal interest in his case. He came to be fond of all of the staff, from the CNA's, to the nurses, to the therapists, to administration, to the kitchen staff. We all felt very comfortable with him there. I am confident that there is not another place in the Richmond area that would have provided him better care or helped him make as much progress as he did. He is home now and doing extremely well. We are very much indebted to OLOH.
October 2018
My Mother-in-law was there to 2+ years in both Assisted Living (1st Floor) and Skilled Nursing (2nd Floor) she received excellent care and all the Nursing Staff loved her until the day she passed away, Even then they all came to say goodbye to her just after she passed and tell us how sorry they were for our lost. OLOH is the best small family oriented style Care Facility in Richmond, VA. I have to recommend the Facility to anyone looking for a place to have their love one live out their final time with happiness and joy.
October 2018
We love Our Lady Of Hope, my dad has been there since the end of December. The nursing staff are so helpful, and always have a smile on there face.
April 2018
My father was in Our Lady of Hope for a little less than a year. During that time he received excellent care. The nurses and aides were compassionate and attentive to all his needs. The facility was always spotless and the staff was always friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Our Lady of Hope to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.

The staff in both Assisted Living and Nursing care were highly professional, positive, caring and attentive all through my mother's care. My mother felt safe and cared for at OLOH and was treated with respect and gentle prompt care. We could not have found a better facility in the area. Worth every penny!!!
November 2017
My grandmother is partially disabled, so when her husband passed away years ago, she had to move into assisted living, despite being in great health otherwise. She's now been here for over 10 years - she loves it, and my family loves it too. She's received excellent care and - yes, she has had issues over the ten years she's been there (who hasn't had issues in the past ten years, ha!), but staff has always been amazing and helpful and there for her, and us, throughout. We continue to be grateful for the care received and the staff there - and my other grandmother, who is approaching needing assisting living herself, is planning on moving to OLOH when the time comes, which speaks for itself.
August 2017
I was at OLOH for 7 weeks of physical therapy. The physical and occupational therapists were professional, competent, effective, and friendly with good senses of humor. I know the last because they laughed at my jokes. The rest I know because I observed it and I got way better during those 7 weeks. The other staff (everyone from nurses to housekeepers) were great as well, always friendly and competent. The food was good, too.
