Today several friends and I went to an event at Morningstar Hillsboro, a senior living community. I would say each of us were impressed by our experience. I had contacted Haylee, Director of Community Relations and she welcomed us when we arrived. We enjoyed tea and treats in the courtyard, listening to music and visiting with Haylee and various members of the community. We than were taken on a tour that included common areas as well as several different model apartments . The spaces were open, light and nicely appointed, thoughtfully designed thought out . It felt homey and very comfortable. I came away from this part of the tour knowing that this would be a lovely place to live. At the end of our tour Haylee sat down with us and answered multiple questions we all had and invited us to experience lunch in the dining room. We partook in a lovely meal, well prepared, presented and served. The staff that we met seemed to genuinely enjoy working in the community. While we were having lunch, Abby, the Director of Morningstar came over to welcome us, which was a very nice and appreciated gesture. All in all, this was a very informative visit. Anyone looking to join a senior community, might do well in checking this one out. Thank you Haylee!

We toured 7 different properties looking for a place mom would walk in and just know in her heart "this is it". Our tour with Haylee was so fabulous. She's clearly passionate about caring for seniors and working with Morningstar. She answered every question we had thoroughly, as did all of the staff we met. The residents we talked to during our tour all loved living there and expressed hope that Mom would join them. Truly touching. To top off our experience, the perfect room was opening up...so we signed up and now Mom wakes up counting the days till she can move in! Card players...mahjong players...Wii bowlers...watch out, here she comes! My mom had lived in another retirement home for 10 years and had moved in with my husband and me when the pandemic hit. Now it's time for her to have the activities she misses and become more active again. Morningstar of Hillsboro offers everything one could want for my mom, and I have the peace of mind that she'll be very well treated. I also love that as she ages, she'll have access to caregivers she can bring in that can provide that extra bit of she may need.

I watched MorningStar being built from the ground up and said to my husband before it was even finished that is the place we are going to live and have not regretted that decision. The staff here are wonderful and have become like family to us as well as the residents. We have gracious, caring 24 hr concierges led by the amazing Mika. Administration, Sales, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Culinary, Dining room servers, Life Enrichment and Transportation work endlessly to give us our best life. Come in for a tour and see the wonderful place we call home.

My wife's parents live at Morningstar. We looked at 7 different places when deciding what would work best for them. Morningstar hands down was the best place that had it all. The food is very good, and we love chef Nate! We also liked that they can get her parents places when they'll need that sort of support. Everyone that works there are so good to their residents. We really like the people and the services they offer. It was the best facility that we saw in our evaluations.

Highly recommend! My mother moved in over a year ago and has had a very lovely transition to senior community life! The staff is very friendly and accommodating - they know each and every resident well. There are daily non-stop versatile and fun activities planned out on a monthly basis. We've been here seven glorious months. Moving from another adequate retirement community where we'd lived for eight years, MorningStar Senior Living has enhanced every aspect of our lives and activities including music, exercise, restaurant-quality dining, and a plethora of activities and outings. In our 80s, we really wanted much more physical activity to keep us healthy. MorningStar Hillsboro gives us a warm, saltwater pool we can use anytime. We're in it doing an aerobic routine at least four times a week. On alternate days, we have a professional trainer for chair aerobics in a large gym. The entire building is filled with multi-purpose rooms on every level. That way, no matter how many people have multiple interests, there's is plenty of space to enjoy them. A bar and bistro, a large theater for meetings and events, plenty of places for cards and games, an inviting inner garden courtyard for cookouts, and multiple dining areas to accommodate residents and their guests added to our spacious, airy, well-appointed apartments, and we are spoiled for choice. We enjoy our neighbors. Get-togethers are like family reunions where we're always happy to see one another happy and flourishing.

I recently had the pleasure of touring Morning Star Senior Living, and it was an absolutely incredible experience! From the moment I walked in, the staff were welcoming and genuinely caring. Abby Adam’s is doing a fantastic job. The facility itself is beautifully designed with comfortable, well-appointed living spaces, and the grounds are immaculately kept. What really stood out to me was the vibrant sense of community and the wide range of activities available to residents. It's clear that Morning Star goes above and beyond to ensure their residents are happy, healthy, and engaged. I left feeling confident that this is a top-notch living environment for seniors. My parents came out to visit me from North Carolina in August 2023. They were living in their own home, and although they are in good health (ages 86 & 90), felt they needed to be closer to family. We toured 7 different independent living facilities (we became professional tourers), and none of them could compete with Morningstar of Hillsboro, and they moved in October 2023! The facility is FANTASTIC! The apartments are lovely, the food is delicious! They have a workout room and even an art room! The activity director, Hailey, does a wonderful job coming up with outings and activities to keep the residents entertained and engaged. The front desk (Lily, Jay, and Mika) are so caring and helpful to all the residents. Susan gave us our initial tour, and she is very thorough, knowledgeable, and truly cares about the residents. Heather and Spencer work so hard in the dining room to make sure all the diners are taken care of. They get to know the residents, and even remember small things like my mom not wanting ice in her glass of water! Chef Nate does a great job coming up with interesting and tasty dishes! My parents have made wonderful friends already in their short time here, and truly are enjoying themselves. Morningstar of Hillsboro has been a fantastic place!

New Year’s Eve will mark one year at Morningstar senior Living in Hillsboro Oregon. The staff here is incredible. The food is as well probably the best part is the community of people that live here! Mom and I toured the facility and put a deposit down on an apartment the same day. There was no pressure to do so but we were not going to let the place mom knew would be "her place" slip away. The facility is amazing (l am jealous of everything that is offered there) and the staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming. Neither of us can stop telling others about Morning Star and her move in date can't come soon enough.

I had the chance of meeting Matt Ryan at the community as I walked in to see what everyone has been raving about. Matt was so professional and stopped what he was doing so he could answer my questions and take me on a tour! MorningStar Senior Living of Hillsboro has the vibe of a bustling hotel with three main dining venues and offers such things as an art studio, swimming pool and great fitness center. I was greeted by Eli at the front desk, he helped me get signed and made the greeting unforgettable. Talk about a place with hospitality and creative fun events, I met Dylan from their event staff who showed me the party room and theater, just simply amazing. The building is well designed with a courtyard to enjoy and well maintained . I would highly recommend this community to anyone who is looking for senior living lifestyle as their home. This team pays attention to every single detail.

There is no other place in the State of Oregon like the MorningStar Senior Living of Hillsboro. I started visiting this community during the construction phase and have been back three other times. I watched it develop into a lovely and extravagant place that anyone would jump at the chance to call home. All of the resident rooms and the common areas have every detail thought out to benefit the occupants and the building. Some of the amenities such as the salt-water swimming pool, amphitheater, fitness center, theatre/chapel, plus many more. The food is even out of this world (fit for a king). The staff from Matt on down are extremely pleasant, kind, knowledgeable, and professional. Each staff member is attentive to questions and wishes. If you are looking for an independent living community, I would definitely recommend the MorningStar Senior Living of Hillsboro.

I have played piano in the lobby for MorningStar several times, and it has been a great experience. The staff is friendly and easy to work with, and the guests are really fun to play for. They have a nice, classy little bar with a grand piano.

We received a tour of this place from Matt Ryan. Wonderful guy! He was patient with us, showed us the entire facility and the different rooms, along with the theater room, art room, etc. I love the paintings are from the PNW. My favorite part was how the rooms were well laid out and the Alexa safety features for my mom. There was a sense of comfort knowing I felt she would be well taken care of. The food was equally amazing, and everyone I met was extremely kind and welcoming. Matt was very professional, knowledgeable, and I can tell extremely passionate about his job and working there. His attention to detail was refreshing and answered all our questions. I highly recommend to my friends. You couldn’t have a better person representing the company and the facility. Thanks Matt!
