Before you read these reviews, keep in mind that the state regulates all skilled nursing facilities. They can't have too many CNAs/LPNs/RNs on staff at any given time, and the same for being understaffed. A lot of the facilities are given low budgets because the state looks at it as "we don't have to pay for these elderly, they're dying." With that being said, I work at a nursing facility, and I was content with my mom being here. It is dated, and it doesn't necessarily look amazing. Their supplied for my moms breathing treatments were limited... But where this place shined was the care. The nurses and CNAs do an amazing job for the situation they're put in. Really amazing. Ryan and Gerald, two of the best CNAs I've seen. My mom was super complimentary to them as well. Amazing job. Be easy on these workers, they deal with a lot.

Flew in to see family and my mother in law from South Dakota. Maria seems so compassionate with my mother in law, the care she shows for her is amazing. However, the rest of the staff, management in particular, needs a realignment. Instead of having the staff do their job and keep residents safe, they force families to stay with the residents 24/7.

Husband was in rehab wing. Staff and nurses are wonderful. Marie is the most compassionate person and treats everyone l8ke they are family.

My uncle is a new resident at briarfield it's never easy to leave a loved one but my uncle has an aide named maria that is beyond amazing she always checks on him and even sits to talk to him to calm him down when he is home sick so grateful for aides like her it helps knowing that he is cared for by staff that really care .

I am a resident here for rehab and the care that I need. On December 20th I had a pair of pants and a shirt get sent down to laundry and never gotten them back I have asked about it everyday and they still didn't bring them to me one last thing is my roommate ever since I been here she would ask me to help her to the bathroom and she should know that I can't and at night she be asking the aide to turn off my heater and what does the aide do turns it off completely and let's me suffer laying in bed sleeping and freezing cold all because of one roommate and I have to pay to stay here.

I am a Caregiver and my client had to stay here. The food used to be good but is now sub par. She was served numerous times macaroni salad that was just macaroni and mayo. Stewed tomatoes rounded out the meal. Not much nutrition there. So many of her clothes were stolen. Supposedly they reimburse you but it hasn't happened yet. Could not get them to treat her for a cold with severe congestion. Visited one day to find a urine soaked pad flung on the visitor chair. Bed sores are common. Look elsewhere for a place for your loved on

I am an resident of the Briarfield Manor. The words I am putting down are of my own opinion and concern. To the ownership of the manor others and myself would like it if, you gave the workers some credit for what they do instead of working them like they are robots. Give the nurses a BREAK also. They are human and sometimes humans get overwhelmed with work and, it can lead to stress, mistakes and leaving the job earlier than she/he wants to never mind the consequences. As an resident I truly feel for all the employees. So i'm thanking you in advance Mrs Reese for your swift handling of these matters. Mr. Ronald E. Lewis President of Resident Council
