This review is in regards to my mother being a resident at this facility since ~2020. 5-17-2022 - I live in Canada so communicating with my mom is difficult. I purchased a tablet for her hoping we could do face calls. But then found out this facility didn't have wifi. 2022 and NO WIFI! I have been emailing and emailing since asking for updates and offering to donate funds myself to get this fixed. 2023-03-19 - Fast forward to this year. I emailed again for an update. Wifi has been only recently installed and residents aren't given access. I'm disappointed to hear my mother still doesn't have basic internet access for communication. 2023 -03-27 - My mother informs me she is having surgery the following month and they say shes set to transfer locations. I email again asking for information and get no response. 2023-04-12 - 5 days before surgery, I follow up again and still haven't gotten a response. I have no idea where they'll be sending her and she has no idea. This is completely irresponsible and neglectful treatment of residents and their family members. I looked up the funding and tax info for the year of 2020. Hillcrest files as a corporation. You mean to tell me that Hillcrest pays an MD an annual salary of 264k, gets millions in funding, has an estimated 200 volunteers and yet still can't get up to speed on one of the most basic forms of communication so residents can see/chat with their family. Mental health REQUIRES a supportive network, vastly made up of family and friends. You are walling them up and closing them off from the outside world. You claim to support mental health but this is detrimental to their mental health and I am appalled. Update: After talking with my mother today, it sounds like they are cancelling her surgery because they don't have the means to care for while in recovery. I'm still waiting on response from Hillcrest administration.

Food is okay...... Getting things done takes Awighle. There are alot of people who have their own needs to be met. I would revved hiring an outside attorny due to friction that resides there. Not the best place people who have a history of staking or other mental health issues.
