I moved into John Knox Towers in September. After living in another apartment complex for 30 years, and being 62 years of age, I had to move due to no fault of my own. I am so glad. I have been so welcomed at John Knox Towers. The residents are family, and I love my one bedroom apartment. Michelle, part of the office staff, made the transition easier for me. From the time I started the application process until current. She is such a wonderful person and is so helpful. She answered every question with patience and a smile. Believe me. I had many questions. It's so nice to see someone of her caliber. So, if you are looking for a place to live and are 55 and older, give John Knox Towers a try. Ask for Michelle.

Hello I am so Happy to say after 4 failed attempts of trying to reach someone at John Knox Towers my friend and I went there with no scheduled appointment and WOW what a 360 change to this apartment complex. The woman who was Not only 0n lunch break But cut her lunch short and spent over an hour with us showing us the Entire Tour. Her name is Michelle (with 2 ll's please). I explained the last time I was there and had an appointment the manager on duty had a non manager (FRIEND) show my husband and I an apartment. Answered Zero questions and only spent maybe 10 minutes with us. This time the lobby doors were locked, as they should be. The lobby was very clean and smelled clean. WOW! What wonderful change! Ms Michelle made me feel welcomed and very much at home. She answered everyone of my questions and assured me that I had found my new home. Explained the paperwork and the deposits. She went well beyond of duty and apologized several times for the treatment that was showed to my husband and I in the past Thank you Michelle see you very soon! Mrs. Marlene Mauro 6/26/25

This place looks great from the outside.Apartments are decent.a nd definitely a place for 55+ with an emphasis on plus!Almost a nursing home! Place is very antequated with poorly maintained care everywhere.Recommend it be losed and totally renovated!For the $$ paid a dump!

I moved to John Knox Towers Oct 2024 I am new but my experience thus far has been good Manager Armonica is friendly and super helpful. LaVasha Maintenance Supervisor is efficient and handles all maintenance issues etc in a timely manner. Kia Leading Consultant still fairly new is friendly and helpful. I do not know Emery the new Maintenance Tech, but all Staff are friendly helpful efficient and work on making our stay here pleasant and safe. Forgot Housekeeper Miranda does a great job keeping the place clean you can hear her humming as she vacuums Jacqueline

We moved my Mother-in-law into John Knox Towers last February. For the price, we were very impressed. The apartment was nice. The location is AMAZING, in the heart of Ghent, and its shares a parking lot with Harris Teeter (super convenient) This is also very close to Norfolk General Hospital. Having said all of that, what really made the experience special was the staff - they are THE MOST caring people. They knew every resident personally and truly cared about them. Every employee was a pleasure to know. We are so thankful we chose John Knox Towers!
