NOT A RETIREMENT CENTER!! It is a 55plus Community with a wide mix of over 2,000 units from appartments style condos to attached town homes. There are NO assisted living units here but these types of facilities are available across the street. UPDATE ..Have now lived here for over a year. VERY GOOD response to virus concerns and measures were great. It is a BIG Association and rules and policies can be cumbersome but that is true for most of these places whether they are 55 plus or "normal." Be sure you can tolerate this kind of "co-operative life style" or just buy a house. Be aware of Association fees and read a few issues of their monthly magazine, HEATHER N YON" and board minutes to learn of past and upcoming community issues. Open to the public...some good food and reasonable prices.

The area is well-maintained and the amenities are abundant. There's so much to do for a senior in this place that it would take months before getting bored of the place. There's a nice clean trail that runs the length of the neighborhood and so many seniors in the area to make friends with. Nice place to spend time for a senior.

I enjoy and frequent the "1st Saturday of the month" ballroom dance. These are held every 1st Saturday of each month for both their residents, as well as outside guests. Ladies If you do not bring a partner "Dance Hosts" are here to dance with you. And, light refreshments are served. Cost is $8.00 for outside guests.

Very nice retiement community. Mix of midrise highrises, townhomes, & duplexes. 200 acres of beautiful grounds with mature trees. Played the 9 hole Par 32 golf course that winds through the community. Nice course & only $12 as a nonresident, using my own pullcart. Had a great lunch at the on site restaurant, Rendezvous. I will definitely be back again!

Play golf here regularly. It's a cheap 9 hole course that's easy to get some swings in. If you want an easy, open and cheap course visit Heather gardens for a quick 9!
