Our worship team from Restoration at Hillside, located in the neighborhood, has been holding services about once a month since 2023. I can't believe the difference over the last several months, for the better! It is easy to notice that the facility is much cleaner than previously. Always welcomed by the stellar staff, they take time to bring the residents in for our meaningful and fun worship time together. Their residents appear to be well cared for, as the staff shows them kindness. We love our neighbors at GSV!

THERE IS A YOUNG LADY THERE THAT TOOK CARE OF MY HUSBAND NAMED JENNI EVERY TIME I CAME IN HE WAS SO HAPPY AND CLEAN AND HIS ROOM WAS ALWAYS STRAIGHTENED ! I THINK ONE OF HER FAMILY MEMBERS WAS ALSO IN NURSING HOME BUT SHE WORKED SO HARD AND WAS ALWAYS UP RUNNING UP AND DOWN THE HALLS TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE WAS CARED FOR BECAUSE JUST LIKE EVRY NURSING HOME THEY ARE UNDER STAFFED !THANK GOD FOR WOMEN LIKE JENNI THANK REALLY CARES ABOUT THE ONES SHE IS CARING FOR! I THINK HER NAME IS JENNI GOULD MY HUSBAND PASSED AWAY AND IM SO GRATEFUL HE HAD THIS YOUNG LADY TO HELP HIM WHEN IM NOT ABLE GOD BLESS HER

Under the new ownership , it is a great place to work. It took alot of hardworking but the building is really turning around. The DON is great and really cares about the residents . She gives all family members her personal number and you can call anytime you need something. Things aren't perfect they never are but they fix things in a timely manner. The therapy department is the best around. I would Bring all my loved ones here .

I'm the current ADON and absolutely love working at Good Shepherd Village. It's a lovely facility with an awesome team. The residents are the absolute best! Thankful for this opportunity! I'd absolutely allow my loved ones to live here. Such great care from great nurses!

I have the pleasure of working with Nancy Lacey, of Good Sheppard Village. She visits the 2 apartment buildings I work in, to share information about the services Good Sheppard has to offer with my residents if they find themselves in need of rehabilitation or a different living arrangement in the future. She always does an activity or education program for the residents enjoyment. Last month, she was able to dedicate a coffee bar, sponsored by Good Sheppard, to the apartment building. The residents, and,I sure enjoy it and appreciate their generosity to the community.

This facility is fantastic!!! My dad was so well taken care of and was treated in a professional and loving manner. Our family knew that he was in good hands from the beginning. The owner, Mrs. Steffanni always kept us apprised of my father's condition and treatment and cared for him with kindness and compassion. My dad had vowed to never go into a facility where someone else had to take care of him, but I can honestly say that he loved being there! There has NEVER ONCE been an issue with the care of the patients over the many, many years that they have been in business. I wish that I could give them a 10 star review!!!

Just wanted to state that Good Shepherd was a excellent nursing home. They took really good care of my mom that 2 other nursing homes weren't able to do. Mom had to have rehab and they worked with her schedule when she was able to do it not their's. Mom improved 75% in the first month that she was there. The other 2 didn't work with her so she want improving . Wad at one for over 3 months. If any one asks I highly recommend Good Shepherd

I just want to say that Good Shepherd Nursing Home is an excellent nursing home. We had to have our mom put there to help with her care that we weren't able to give her 24 hours a day. The nurses and aides were very concerned and helpful with mom, they kept us informed about her care. They even let us hold a family reunion there cause mom want able to go out. This nursing home is wonderful! My grandma was here when she could no longer take care of herself and the staff was always caring and helpful. She had her bad days when she would feel frustrated and they still treated her with respect. There was a day she had to have a staff member use the paddles to revive her and they were so fast and were able to help her. I would highly recommend this facility to others. Thanks Good Shepherd!

I was a resident for 4 1/2 months, recovering from a serious illness. I went from having to be hoisted out of bed to a wheelchair to being able to walk!!! Needless to say, I couldn't have done this without the meticulous care I received. When I entered the facility I was extremely malnourished, weak and cognitively compromised. Due to the excellent care plan, I received excellent physical, occupational and speech therapies. My progress was all carefully monitored by the fabulous nursing staff. The owner is also very involved and "hands on". The CNAs are friendly and caring. Oh, I should mention I'm a retired nurse from Florida!!

My mother in law was a patient at this facility and enough time had passed that I feel comfortable talking about this. She received the best care possible while she was there. I felt confident that they were always looking out for her. The nurses and aides were very professional and she had a great relationship with them. The owner of the facility would stop in from time to time to see how she was doing. Of course she had her favorite aides and I can't remember their names but I want to say thank you for loving her and caring for her.

Anywhere you go there will be good and bad aids. I have found that this facility is very welcoming, a lot of the aids are extremely kind and welcomed in my family. There are aids who will joke with you, talk with you, and overall make you feel welcomed. My family and I visit my great grandmother and she is so happy where she is. I wouldn't want my family anywhere else but here! The staff treats your family like their own, Jennifer the owner is an angel. She will come on the floor and help her staff out when needed and I have NEVER in my life seen an owner do that kind of thing for their facility. I promise if you put your family in here, you'll never regret it !

Moved my father-in-law here after a home in Vandalia let him dwindle in just two months. He has improved greatly since being here. The staff gets him out and about, serves nutritious meals, and stimulates his mind rather than give him just a place to die. Our family is so happy to have discovered Good Shepherd.
