This used to be a great place, but now has HORRIBLE NEW OWNERSHIP. A large management group purchased the building at the end of 2017 and things went downhill. They immediately raised the rent more than $100 a month, (and we are expecting another large hike at the end of our leases,) and they seem oblivious to the fact that you can get a larger apt in a newer, nicer bldg with more amenities for less $. They got everyone to sign a new lease and stay here by promising big improvements to the building and added activities, but instead activities have been reduced and the only improvements have been to the lobby, to draw people in. The rest of the building is falling apart. Stupid things have been done, like removing seating in certain areas because they don't want "old people sitting around talking like it's a nursing home." (An actual statement from new owners!) Uh...this is a SENIOR community, people need a place to sit, and want to visit with neighbors. I gave it 2 stars because it is a very friendly community with some great neighbors. The majority of current tenants are unhappy and planning to move at the end of their lease. I almost never write poor reviews, but I am speaking MANY people that live here that won't write a review themselves and wanted their thoughts shared. So frustrating.
