Acclaim at East Beach is an excellent Independent Living Experience. All the residents are very friendly and considerate of each other and make you feel welcome and part of the family. The entire staff are friendly and worry about each other and all the residents. Making your experience worth staying here. I looked at multiple Independent Living apartments before selecting Acclaim at East Beach as my location to move in and begin this new part of my life.

Welcoming from the first day I arrived. The staff have been most accommodating. My one-bedroom apartment is larger than my two bedrooms in another complex. The views of the Little Creek Marina are spectacular and the sounds of the lines tinkling against the mast heads is calming. There is a boardwalk here that goes around the marina so I could look at the ships and boats when I'm walking. Food is good. We have a restaurant where a chef prepares our food. Activities are plentiful and there is provided transportation to the doctor's office, the grocery store and many more attractions. I'm enjoying my life here.

We are incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and outstanding care our mom has received since moving into the Acclaim at East Lake Assisted Living community. From day one, at the sales office meeting and the at-home assessment through the move-in and settle-in’ time, each Acclaim team member made her transition seamless and filled with kindness. What could have been a stressful move turned out to be a smooth, supportive experience, thanks to the amazing coordination and professionalism of the entire staff. Our mom can't stop talking about how much she loves the staff, the delicious meals, and the friendly environment. She’s always been proud of her cooking, but now she gets to enjoy three nutritious restaurant-style meals a day”and the added joy of sharing them with other community members. She's already starting to socialize again and even welcomed her first visitors from her old condo. A special thank-you to 24x7 nursing staff and responsive facilities team for their genuine warmth and attention to detail. And we can’t forget Chef and Food Server”truly wonderful people who not only bring comfort through their service but also prepare meals that Mom absolutely loves. Thank you all for making this such a positive new chapter in her life. You’ve each made a real difference, and our family is deeply appreciative.

My husband and I love our apartment in Acclaim. We are in the Dining Room every evening to enjoy a delicious dinner and great fellowship with the residents. Activities everyday keep us on the move. It’s great being next to the Marina watching the boats going by on the water. We have found our resort home

If you are looking for a modern, thoughtful approach to senior living - you found it. I randomly discovered Acclaim while researching a place for my mom and went to visit/tour the place. I could not be more impressed. The facilities are new and top-notch, but the people put Acclaim above the rest. Both the residents and staff are what make this community so special. I moved my mom in just a few days ago. Tony and Ginny were outstanding. They explained in detail all of the facilities rules and amenities my mom will have. I felt no pressure and truly felt they have her best interest at heart. She can have her little dog, her car, in home therapy and meals cooked for her. What an amazing place to call home. It's clean, safe, full of life and daily activities. Looking forward to seeing my mom shine, make new friends and really enjoy a quality life at Acclaim.

To the date of this review, my family’s experience with Acclaim at East Beach has been stellar. Starting with the first call, visit, move in and current state. Tyler Y, Tony S, Ginny G and LaToya J are an exceptional team along with the auxiliary staff. Acclaim at East Beach is a special community.

Acclaim is a warm, ideally located, new and envigorating facility on the marina. The staff have an excellent reputation, the events coordinators and wonderfully in tune and the staff fro. Reception to household staff go beyond the call of duty. I've been here 9 monhs and find it cultivating and easy in the East Beach section of Norfolk on the Bay

When I walked into the place, I was impressed overall. When I looked at rooms, I continued to like what I was seeing. When I walked into my room, I was home. The variety of room designs, the number of additional spaces available for resident use, the look and feel of the place speaks to a level of quality and a commitment to excellence that has been missing at so many of the places I explored. Acclaim at East Beach does it right.

My Mom who is 84 has been at Acclaim for 4 months now. Her quality of life has increased immensely. The studio apartment is bright and airy with great views of the marina. She has so many activity options to stay busy and just loves it. She has made many friends and is even sharing her sewing skills with other residents. I would definitely recommend Acclaim to family and friends.

Been here for 9 months and I IT!! Best decision I've ever made to sell my house and move here. Put the key in the door an d off I go. Maintenance free. Lots,of new friends. Always something to do that you will never be bored or lonely. Pet friendly.

Our mom truly enjoys her home at the Acclaim! She loves how spacious her apartment is and having a full kitchen with an the option to dine in the restaurant. The staff are so friendly and helpful and you can tell they love interacting with residents. The faculty is well kept & the maintenance team is super. Having a therapy team within the facility has been a great help to her and we look forward to the new year.

I AM THE FIRST RESIDENT. IT WAS THE BEST DECISION I EVER MADE. SOLD MY HOME AND MOVED HERE TO LIVE FREE OF MAINTENANCE ; YARD WORK; Storm damage ; Snow removal ; Pool Maintenance and utilities and taxes going up. This is the only lifestyle choice that fit every expectation and more. .The staff is attentive; friendly ; accessible to every need. I have been very happy and never regret my decision. You wouldn't either . Get free from those menicing home responsibilities and enjoy senior living as it was meant to be. love it!!!!!! The view ; the amendities are incredible !!!

Our parents are at Acclaim at East Beach and we are so happy we found this beautiful location. We were scheduled to have our parents move into a different Senior Independent Living community but really did not feel 100% certain it was the best fit for our parents so considered Acclaim at the last minute & Jennifer & her great team were so responsive, attentive and reassuring that we didn't hesitate to make the change & are very pleased with our decision. The community is very diverse, friendly, the staff is great and our parents feel safe and have so many things they can participate in. We love visiting them and have peace of mind that they are in a community that cares about their senior residents & it's a friendly environment. We'd recommend Acclaim at East Beach if you're looking for a reasonable & quality senior living community!

The Acclaim at East Beach staff are all excellent! They’re friendly, caring and professional. They also maintain the facility in excellent condition while providing great food and offering fun activities. Acclaim has been a great place for my elderly father, who lives alone, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a clean, safe and friendly place for a loved one.

I love so much about Acclaim. Lots of walking space with no heat, cold, snow etc. Close to base for medications,Dr appointments etc. Met lots of folks who are slowing down as me. The rooms very nice in size and very comfortable. You will love it here.

We have had prior experiences in independent senior living communities and this community is by far the best. The staff here are incredible and very helpful when we are in need. Activities are plentiful to everyone’s needs. The indoor pool is a definite plus especially being salt water and able to use year round. The second floor community room is wonderful because of pool table and I have a friend that comes here on the regular that plays as well. Having a therapy group within our community is a wonderful bonus to help us with or goals and strengths. The location of the community is a big plus because of the lovingly scenic view.

At first, we were anxious about leaving our home and friends in Maryland, but our worries disappeared when we moved here because Jennifer and her wonderful team have been so supportive and caring I highly recommend Acclaim at East Beach for their professionalism, excellent restaurant and five star services.

A lighthouse in the wilderness, the Acclaim at East Beach was a perfect solution to our short term respite care needs while my husband received intensive therapy for his recent stroke recovery. The apartment, facility amenities, community, and walkable neighborhood all contributed to our wellness and independence. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.

Great place to live! Beautiful views of the marina, beach is minutes away, food is excellent, staff goes above and beyond to accommodate your every need. In house Physical Therapy staff are amazing and can plan and be with you every step of the way to assist you with regaining your strength and mobility. The indoor salt water pool and workout room are a nice feature to add to your healthy living lifestyle. I can't say enough about Acclaim at East Beach it is the best independent living community I have ever seen.

Acclaim hosted a public Mother’s Day Tea and I sent my mothers and their friends over to check it out. For 4 ladies, aged 70+ who moved to Va from out of state recently, your community event gave them a wonderful outlet to relax, feel pampered, and laugh with new friends. I can’t thank Jennifer and the Acclaim team enough for hosting such a lovely event for the whole community.

My new home is beautiful . The staff is amazing, food wonderful and all the amenities one could ask for. I pay one bill per month + phone. Can't beat it with utilities going sky high. Jennifer and Mary would love to show you around and share with you our signature cocktail. My only wish would be for a smoke free campus
