I really like life at the Lodge. Great staff, many activities to choose from. Something for everyone. The everyday staff always goes the extra mile for the residents. The apartments are comfortable and easy to furnish and decorate.

People were really kind and helpful. Suzette was wonderful. She made sure we had lunch which was delicious. Also, she introduced us to Ron and Betsy, who live in the village - they had lots of useful information. This is clearly a caring environment. We appreciate knowing that it is available.

I Love the Lodge I am a home owner in Truitt but I am a member of the Lodge . All the staff are friendly and helpful I do pool aerobics and use the indoor pool , The pub a great place for lunch and hang with friends for drinks they have bingo and trivia nights also other special events . A clean home feel friendly helpful staff . It is nice to gather with residents of the lodge and home owners . There is a five star restaurant a great game room a on site salon and on site Bee Bee health care site. Barbara Dickinson is a great event planer as I must say she dose much much more then that she is involved in all aspects of the lodge and must say along with so many of the staff she is the Lodge and is there most every day for long hours and cares about the Lodge residents and home owners along with the great staff. Lesley is the pub what a great worker and on top of everyone , Susy is the Restaurant the Host of the most and great manager . Come join the Lodge .

The experience we had at The Lodge at Truitt Homestead was amazing . My parents who are in their mid 80’s have never lived in an apartment setting and were very apprehensive. Visiting the Lodge provided them with an insight into the next phase of their lives. We were welcomed upon arrival with the friendliest smiles and support as my father needed a bit more help getting around and a wheelchair was the perfect solution. The personal touches and attention to detail stood out to my family and I can not speak higher about Suzette Chambers who made all the arrangements for our weekend. She is a gem. The facilities were impressive and extremely well maintained. The apartments were comfortable, extremely functional and provided all the comforts of home without the stresses that come with home ownership. For the 1st time in their lives my parents could really see a new way to live and enjoy the golden years . The food services were excellent and not at all what you expect . You can tell the care that goes into the cuisine and my parents are very picky. From the lovely courtyard to the rotunda and even the music that filled the hallways every detail was placed to ensure comfort and a sense of peace. The residents that we encountered were so friendly and happy. This gave my sister and I a sense of how our parents would feel living in a new environment. Everyone was so welcoming. The Lodge at Truitt Homestead is at the top of what we would want for our parents. I know that the care and attention we received is at the heart of the staff and residents .

We are considering relocating my mom down to the southern Delaware area from NJ. Your facility was the first that we toured and we were very impressed. Some facilities provide the standard sit down, here’s the paperwork here’s the available room and do you have any questions, I have to get back? Suzette spent quality time with us, spoke to us as a caring adviser, not a sales person, answered all of questions and then asked us to have dinner at their dining facility. The facility itself is newer than most others, they go out of their way to welcome new residents, we were approached by several residents who welcomed us without any prompting. It offers many amenities and activities. We will be visiting other facilities, as we are in the beginning of our search, but we may have found the best place here.

Immediately accepted and introduced to staff and our ambassador resident Lois. The amenities go beyond what we have seen in other retirement communities. When you take all the benefits into consideration, the value of living at Truitt Homestead is easy to visualize.

My wife and I toured the facility and immediately placed a deposit and joined the wait list as have three other people we recommended to the Lodge. The facility in Rehoboth is absolutely beautiful. From the spacious entry, and brightly lit hallways, to the beautiful pub, dining room, pool and sitting rooms on every floor. It feels like we’d be living on an elegant cruise ship.

In looking for a place for my mom, I researched many places in Lewes and Rehoboth. None offered the kind of apartment/senior living that we wanted. Then I found The Lodge at Truitt Homestead! I immediately sent my mom the info and we quickly determined that this was the place for her. She has a very comfortable apartment with fabulous activities and dining options. She has met new friends and loves all the staff. Thank you all for making my mother feel welcomed and safe!

Who could ask for more when within your own neighborhood you have a home away from home? With all a person could ask for, the Lodge is beautiful! Where else might a person find fine food, lots of different activities- physical and otherwise, a swimming pool, and excellent leaders to guide you? Barbara, the Recreation Director, is an outstanding leader in every respect. Come to the Lodge and see for yourself! I became a resident in late October, and have enjoyed every minute of it!

I’m a New Yorker that loves the beach! I moved into the lodge in September. It’s a new community so you fit right in! The food is great, the people who work here are over the moon and it’s close to the ocean. 10 minute car ride. Come and see this community it’s building and it’s terrific!
