My husband, Chuck, and I have lived here since Modena opened. What we like is that the staff and crew are all so helpful and friendly. Whatever the problem or occasion, there is always a smile on everyone's face. We love our apartment. It is truly our "home". We were able to choose the flooring is wood with our choice of carpet around different areas. The kitchen is big and spacious. Lots of cabinet and drawers to "hide" things that we don't need every day. We have made many new friends from around the country and world. It's just wonderful! No more shopping for food, cooking, and cleaning. All is provided for and served by friendly staff. In dining Amber served us today and as usual did a wonderful job. She is always so helpful with a smile on her dace.

My parents have lived in Modena for just over 1 year, moving from out of state. All of our family agreed that this property stood out among all the choices in the area. Many of the residents are friendly and engaged, there are plenty of exercise classes for all levels of abilities, the in-house OT/PT offered by Legacy is convenient and excellent, and there are a lot and varied of ongoing social activities. Apartments are airy and well designed with plenty of windows for natural light, and full kitchen for those who still want to cook or bake. Top of this review is the staff and management. They are open, caring, friendly, helpful, and impressively know all the residents by sight and name! I have interacted with so many of the employees, and can not think of a single one who is not dedicated and excellent.

My grandmother moved into Modena (formerly 'Atria') in Cary about a year and a half ago. She-- and our family-- have had nothing but wonderful experiences here. The staff is friendly and accommodating, knowing residents and family by name. Though Modena is independent living, they do check on resident's well-being which is great for peace of mind. The amenities are great. Every week there are a host of activities for people of all interests. They frequently host social events, movies, live music, games, etc that are fun for the family to join as well. Food is great as well. It's been a wonderful experience and I am so glad my grandmother moved here -- would highly recommend to anyone.

I moved here less than two years ago and couldn’t have picked a better place. The residents and staff have been so warm and welcoming. Many say it feels like family as we are here for each other. The building is only three years old so everything is bright and new. There is a wide range of activities all day long. Some people have moved here for the food. It’s a great location. It is wooded on three sides. Across the street is Symphony Lake and Koka Booth. Just down the street is lovely Greenway for walking or biking. I am grateful to be able to call it home.

2 good experiences.1. I dropped my coffee in the hall just outside the Bristo and told Elsa about it she quickly cleaned it up and saw me headed to my room with an orange juice in a sealed container. She asked where is your coffee? I said I did not want to spill a second one, Her reply " I will bring one to your room " I went to my room and 2 minutes later there she was with my coffee. she said I have to get back and sort of ran off. Wow above and beyond. 2. Two men were chewing out two waitresses for a minor mistake, and the waitresses fixed the problem in about two minutes but the 2 men would not give up. Finally the two women moved on and came back a few minutes later to check on them but the men kept on with their mean mouthing. The next day I spoke with the 2 waitresses and commended them on their professionalism, correcting the mistake rapidly and keeping their cool. Great job!! What else can I say? DP

My mother lived at Atria Cary for over 2 1/2 years and she absolutely loved it. The apartment was beautiful and spacious. The people were kind and welcoming. The food was exceptional, and the events activities were perfect for every aspect. They even have a gym and a pool, which is amazing. I highly recommend Atria Cary It’s as if you’re living on a cruise ship you all year round I especially want to call out Jessi The executive Director, she will go above and beyond to do what’s needed to make every resident feel comfortable and safe and well regarded if I can give it 10 stars I would!!

My mom moved to Atria 3 months ago. Like many, she had a full and active life before a few sudden serious health problems happened. The experience of moving to Atria has been really great. It’s a beautiful place that has everything she needs: move-in services, onsite healthcare of all types, full amenities, many events and activities including some impressive parties for families, and the best part of all, incredible dining options and bar, included for all residents. All the staff are top notch, very friendly, kind, and efficient. This place is a cut above anywhere else we’ve seen.

My 86-year-old mother was visiting for Christmas. I began looking at independent-living communities nearby. Atria was the 3rd community I visited and stood out from the start. I saw happy residents everywhere--playing games, working puzzles, doing crafts, attending events and exercise classes in the gym and pool, and enjoying each other's company in the many beautiful gathering places. Many greeted me and shared how much they loved the community. I took a tour and had a delicious meal. I was impressed with the all-inclusive features: 3 chef-prepared hot meals per day with table service plus a quick-service Bistro A full schedule of daily activities and programs to keep residents engaged and moving Heated salt-water indoor pool Weekly housekeeping All utilities: phone, internet, cable, electric Zero-entry showers (the only ones in Cary!) Daily Happy Hour...a perfect time to make new friends I was also excited to hear about an in-house geriatric practice and in-house PT clinic. Atria is month-to-month with no big buy-in, which was another big plus. They make their facility a place no one will ever want to leave!! As I continued to look at communities, Atria's features, staff and sweet residents stayed fresh in my mind. At Christmas, my Mom, who's always said she would never leave the house she built 50 years ago, toured Atria and fell in love at first sight. She's happy, busy, and enjoys her new friends. This weekend, we made a long trip back up to the old house to tie up loose ends . Mom was telling friends and neighbors all about how much she loves Atria. When we drove back yesterday, I could tell Mom was eager to get upstairs and settle back into her new home...less that 10 minutes from mine!

My parents moved to Atria Cary in late Summer 2023. Even before they moved in the staff at Atria made them feel right at home and a part of the family. They addressed all of our questions and issues so that my parents (and I) could feel comfortable with them moving out of their house of 32 years and in to their new home. Since moving in the staff have all learned their names and have taken it upon themselves to learn more about their interests and hobbies. It’s like they gained new family! The food is great, the apartments are spacious and upscale and the amenities are excellent. My parents are now more active and social than they were before. I feel great and confident knowing that my parents are living in a wonderful community.

Upon entering the lobby of Atria Cary, you can't help but be impressed with the upscale decor in the common areas. The wall of two-story windows is majestic, and the pastel color scheme is so inviting. There is an area where residents can sit and read the newspapers that are provided for residents' enjoyment or to just relax. Nearby is a bistro where snacks and light fare are provided, and this is a popular spot for friends to get together to play games. The wine bar, complete with a grand piano, is open from 4 till 7 and is a fun gathering spot to socialize with other residents and enjoy a drink, and often there is entertainment. In addition there is a room for arts, crafts and quilting. There is 24 hour concierge service, and the staff is very friendly and helpful and goes the extra mile to help us. Down one floor is a large dining room where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. There are two daily specials for lunch and dinner as well as a menu one can order from. The wait staff goes out of their way to accommodate our special requests, and they treat the residents with care and respect. And Atria is unique in that there is no food allowance. All food is free to residents. There is a big variety of delicious meals which include the soup of the day and dessert. Also on the ground floor is a well-equipped gym, and an in-door heated pool where water aerobics classes are offered. Additionally there are instructor-led exercise classes. Nearby is a room for physical and occupational therapy. Every night at 7 there is a movie screening in the theater with comfortable seating. On the second floor there is room with a pool table, a library, and a computer room. Atria plans a variety of fun trips for the residents. If you are thinking about moving to an independent senior living community, Atria is a wonderful place to call home. Residents come from all around the country, and it's nice to meet people with interesting backgrounds. I have lived at Atria for six months and have made many wonderful friends here..

Atria Cary is such a beautiful and inviting place. We looked all over for a space that would please my aging but still independent Mom, and this community really works! The staff and residents are all so warm and welcoming, and a wonderful energy permeates. The spaces are gorgeous, the food delicious, and the layout ideal. Karen and Holland graciously showed us a variety of units, and we finally landed on a space that feels just right. The pool downstairs is spectacular and easy to enter, and it's salt water to tote. Additionally, the workout room (where they host fun classes such as Tai Chi and chair aerobics) is bright and cheery. It's independent living, so folks are looking to engage with the community and try new things. One wonderful aspect of it being so new (in addition to being super clean!) is that the people are especially open and interested in making new friends. That feels nice. There is a common outdoor area in the middle of the units where a variety of community events are held. There are also numerous interior gathering spaces as well, such as a library, hair salon, meditation space, and theater. I really can't imagine a nicer group of people or better setting for my Mom. There are apartments with stunning views of the lake or if you prefer one with views of the serene pines. They will have a bocce ball green, all season swimming pool, and access to the walking trails. Great location!!
