My mother has been at Sherwood for over a year now - and a review is long overdue. She originally went to stay for respite care while I had surgery. 2 weeks into her stay, she asked if she could stay for good! She loves being there. She loves the staff; loves "being her own woman" ; loves all the activities; and, enjoys the food. She is always treated with respect and affection. If there is ever an issue, it is addressed and taken care of immediately. She is treated like family - not just a client. I couldn't be more happy with Sherwood Assisted Living!

My mom is always well cared for. Staff is very friendly, helpful and supportive. My mom is always clean and tidy. She feels valued. She loves the staff and the staff loves her. Meals are plentiful and delicious. Me, as her daughter, I no longer worry that my mom has forgotten to take her medication or done double doses. I no longer worry if she forgot to eat. She participates in craft, exercise, and entertainment programs. I have peace of mind and so does my mom. Sherry at Reception Desk is so helpful.

My mother has been at Sherwood for 2 years now. It has been a good place for her. The staff are very caring including the RNs, house keeping, nurses aids etc. Look, it's not a resort, but for a rest home I think it is one of the best. It's very clean everywhere. The food is pretty good. My sisters and I know how fortunate she is to have such great care there. When I'm visiting, there are staff coming in and out checking on her well being. I really would recommend Sherwood.

Sherwood Assisted Living is not for the faint of heart. As any job in caregiving, it's hard but at Sherwood the management fronts to care when you speak with them on matters that can and should be fixed immediately, but nothing ever gets done. Understandably, residents should come first, but without workers there won't be any help there. They over work, underpay, and play mind games to keep you there. I was offered things when the schedule got mixed and needed more help, but did I get those things? Absolutely not. 2 voicemails later and no one has reached out to fix it. Work here at your own risk, but there's other places that would be worth your time.
