This isn't the easiest thing to write, but I am writing this because the staff at Encore deserve to hear my thoughts, and you may want to as well. I wrote something here quite long...then came back and cut out a lot. You don't need all the details. If you're reading this, you know the story. A difficult road led to having to find a long term care facility. I have seen other facilities. My mother had developed Alzheimer's in 2018, and very shortly thereafter my father, now alone, also needed a care facility. I engaged in a search, and some of the facilities were heartbreaking. I was frightened by the thought of that being the only option. Long story short, my family was incredibly fortunate to find Encore at Avalon Park in December of 2018. It's a lovely environment. The key here is I was able to let my parents be together. Together in their own small apartment, enjoying their own place, eating good meals, had a routine and received all necessary care. They were happy together, and safe. And...the staff. My eyes are welling up as I write this...my God...what a blessing they have been. They LOVED my parents. My mother passed away (she was 91) in 2022. The amount of tears and grief by everyone who cared for her...the emotion was so...honest. And since then, they have cared for my father as if he were their own relative. Every time I have visited, I have seen their care first hand. From the Director Monica to the nurses and aids...everyone has been such a reassurance to me. It is June 2026. My father doesn't have a lot of time left. The care and emotion is very evident. I feel blessed to have been able to provide this final gift to them...a nurturing environment that cared. What else could I have asked for? Thank you...all of you. More than I can ever say. Encore at Avalon Park has been wonderful to work with. The facility itself is bright, cheerful, clean, and secure. They have treated my mom, who is in the Memory Care Unit, with dignity and respect and have addressed any concerns that I have had. The staff is friendly and caring. Food is good. Courtyard is beautiful. Smaller facility that has a great patient/resident ratio. I am very thankful my mom is a resident here. I want to express my gratitude to Melissa Russell for listening carefully to my concerns and helping me make the decision to put my mom at Encore at Avalon Park less stressful.

I had the pleasure of working with Melissa for my mom’s admission. Melissa is very patient and caring. I found it easy to talk with her about my concerns related to my mom’s care. My mom has some special health care needs that not all facilities are able to accommodate. With Melissa’s guidance, I was able to make the decision for move-in to Encore’s memory care unit. Of course, this is never an easy decision to have to make and there is always stress involved. Melissa made sure the process went as smoothly as possible. I was able to set up mom’s room with some of her furniture from home and decorate it nicely prior to her move in. I visit often and all of the staff have been very nice, supportive and caring to residents and family. Melissa and Encore are a shining light during a very stressful time!

Mom was at Encore for about 1 year r covering from a minor stroke and experiencing early dementia. The staff was outstanding and very caring. They worked with mom through some very trying time From the director Susie who keeps the entire facility running and maintaining a family friendly staff. Melissa was responsive to all our needs. The nursing staff from Tina to Andrew to Sheri to Connie to Donna all consistently went above and beyond.

This review is specifically for Melissa and the quality care we witnessed while touring this place. In the past 24 hours weve had a family emergency and needed to find a place for my grandfather. Out of all the assisted living facilities we reached out to, this was the only place that had availability. The had 1 room left, and invited us in warmly and gave us a lot of really good information. Melissa was the Marketing Coordinator, and she guided us through the whole process. The care and love she has for this place was truly like no other. And shes only been there since January! We were very impressed with the level of care and attention shown towards people throughout this place. There were so many laughs and smiles, everyone knows eachother and the love really does show.

My mother was at Encore Memory Care at Avalon Park for almost three years. The facility is clean, the price is reasonable compared to other memory care centers, and they accept the Medicaid voucher ” which was essential for us, since memory care is incredibly expensive. In the beginning, everything went well. My mom had a kind roommate, and most of the nurses and aides spoke Spanish, which was important to us. They treated her well. So why only 3 stars? Communication. If communication with staff is important to you, this may not be the best facility. The head nurse is extremely difficult to reach, and she rarely responds to messages. I was lucky that someone from administration gave me her personal number so I could get updates about my mom. But once that person left, I had no one to reach out to. As my mom’s Alzheimer’s progressed and she became more aggressive ” which is common in the late stages of the disease ” every time I visited, all I heard were complaints. I understand this is a difficult job, but if you work in memory care, you should be trained to handle these behaviors. That’s why families trust facilities like this ” because they’re supposed to be equipped for these situations, not just report back to the family with stress and frustration. My mother passed away a few days ago. I still haven’t heard back from the head nurse regarding the last seizure episode my mother experienced and my email to her was sent 15 days ago. Thankfully, the hospice nurse was in direct contact with me and kept me informed, otherwise I wouldn’t have known what was happening. Most of the aides were kind, and the facility itself is solid. But the lack of communication is unacceptable, and I strongly believe the head nurse needs to be replaced. Alzheimer's is already a heartbreaking disease ” families deserve reassurance and reliable communication, especially when their loved one is nearing the end.

Placing my dad in memory care was one of the hardest decisions my family has faced, but Encore was the right call. The administrative team was kind, responsive, and efficient, making the placement process feel less overwhelming. The caregivers and nurses are exceptional. They care for my dad around the clock with patience, compassion, and genuine warmth. The caregivers' hands-on work and unwavering dedication are truly admirable ” they treat every resident with dignity and care. I wish I could name them all here (but it'd be the longest review ever!). The activities team is fantastic and does a wonderful job of keeping my dad engaged with a full calendar of daily events. Andre, the Activities Director, is especially patient with my dad on their weekly outings, which is something we’re extremely grateful for. Monica, the Director of Nursing, has been an incredible support in managing my dad’s complex medical needs. She’s worked closely with us to find thoughtful solutions and always has his best interests in mind. From the moment you walk in, the receptionists create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and even the food is good, which was a nice surprise! We’re so grateful to Nurse Jennifer Brown for recommending Encore. If you’re looking for a memory care facility where your loved one will be truly cared for, I highly recommend them.

We had an exceptional experience while our family member resided at Encore. We had an emergent placement need that they went above and beyond to accommodate. The admissions and move in process were seamless. The care and compassion the staff showed our family was beyond our expectations. They took great measures to help alleviate the stress involved with transitioning our loved one to the next phase in care. Last year my sister and I needed a safe place for our mother who was still living at home at the age of 95, but was showing signs of dementia. A friend of hers had recently moved to Encore at Avalon Park and she and her daughter let us know how much she enjoyed it there. We met with Simone at Encore and she was happy to give us a tour of the facility. She also helped us through the application process and all of the details regarding moving and making sure Mom was comfortable there. We moved Mom to Encore in June of 2023 it was her home until she passed in July of this year. The core staff were kind and caring and it showed in how she was treated every day. She spent her last year involved in the different activities put on by the wonderful activities staff at Encore. We feel that her care at Encore and being involved in the activities greatly enriched her last 13 months of life. I truly appreciate Simone, the nursing and caregiving staff and the activities staff at Encore. ©

Approximately five months ago, our family had to make a tough decision about Assisted Living for our loving Aunt. After checking out a few places, we immediately chose Encore in Avalon as our first choice. We had the honor of meeting Simone Rivera, a true professional and a blessing from above. Simone is very passionate, and her work ethic is outstanding. Simone made herself available for all of us and made our transition seem less. All the staff members are beneficial and genuinely care about the residents. I spend several days a week at Encore. It's always spotless inside and outside on the grounds. I highly recommend Encore based on my personal experience.

My mother had a stroke in 2014. She has lived in three different care facilities over the past 10 years. Encore Assisted Living is by far the best managed and the nursing care is without equal. Simone Rivera has been a godsend. First when she helped coordinate the move to the facility close to the Thanksgiving holiday. Then acting as a single point of contact when my mother had medical issues. Simone really goes above and beyond! I highly recommend Encore!

My Mother has been un the Memory Care area for about 2 years. The Nursesspecifically Lucy and Anita as well as the CNAs are wonderful. They know my mother so well that they know when she is starting to get sick due to her emotions and attitude. She’s thriving there. Andre and his staff in activities keep her active and creative. This facility is absolutely wonderful and i would highly recommend it.

We were very fortunate to have found Encore for my mom, thanks to Premier Senior Consultants. From the moment we stepped into the lobby we felt like it was the right place for her. Once me met with Simone the Marketing Coordinator, it was confirmed. She is so passionate about her work and it is evident in everything she does. She wears many hats and has done all she can to made us feel so welcome and answered all our questions and concerns with such care and knowledge. She made the process of transitioning my mom to the facility go so smoothly, encouraging me every step of the way. She continues to go above and beyond to help with anything we need. Leaving a loved one in memory care is heart wrenching, but the people at Encore made this whole process so much easier. Simone was our first contact and the perfect first person to introduce us to the community. She made us feel like we were family! There are a lot of moving parts with a move like this and she was a tremendous help with making this transition go smoothly. The nurses and entire staff have been so welcoming and loving to my mother. It’s heartwarming to see how kind and caring they are to their patients. We know our mother is in great hands and appreciate the role they are playing in her care.

I can not say enough good things about this facility. My brother has been there for over 6 months and I am very happy with the care they provide to him. Encore went out of their way during Christmas to make the residents feel loved and to experience the holidays. The quality of the food is excellent and tailored to the individual. My brother's room is always neat, tidy and clean smelling. He is handicapped, so the staff has done a great job being receptive to his needs. There are a ton of activities. My brother has a full calendar of events to do on a daily basis. Encore has outings and they have a lot of events at the facility so there is a lot of interaction with the public. The location is excellent. It is a block - walking distance to the Publix or the CVS if I need any supplies. I also can walk to about 10 restaurants from Encore, so it is is easy to take my brother out for dinner without even having it get in the car. I highly recommend this facility and could not have found a better place.

Encore is a beautiful place. Currently my Father is a resident there and all of the staff is super helpful and friendly. they keep the play so clean and the lobby looks like a hotel. They are always hosting events for the residents and their family. We had such a positive experience working with Simone, who was vital in getting our father's care set up. She is extremely friendly, always available, and quick to follow up on any questions we have. Totally recommend this facility!!

My family has had a great experience with Encore. Mom has enjoys living here. The staff on the 3rd floor is always caring, friendly and, helpful. I love how they strive to include the residents in activities and outings. Having inhouse doctors makes it much easier to make changes Mom's care. Encore at Avalon is an amazing place for memory care and has been a blessing to my mom and our family. Right from the start, Simone, the Marketing Coordinator made us feel like we weren’t just another family walking through the door. She’s got this relaxed vibe that immediately put us at ease, and her blend of professionalism and warmth is just what we needed during a tough time. She’s been incredible, answering all of my questions and even getting a laugh or two out of mom. But it’s not just Simone “ from the executive director to the amazing nurses, the activity director, and the CNAs who treat residents with patience and kindness, everyone’s been fantastic. Mom is not just settled; she’s thriving, and that’s a big deal for us. She’s actually able to hold a conversation and seems more like herself. There is a full schedule of activities each day and Andre and the rest of volunteer students and other staff in activities do an amazing job keeping the residents busy and stimulating my mom’s mind to restore capabilities that Alzheimer’s/dementia has taken from her. All of the nurses are amazing but Lucy has been beyond kind and loving showering mom with care and genuine concern from day one. Cesar a CNA and many of the other CNA’s regularly address the residents as precious and treat them as such as well. Their genuine love for others shines through and they provide the most gentle care I have ever seen in such a place. Suzy the executive director is truly professional and makes the process seamless and Carla the receptionist greets each guest with warmth if you only take the time to say hi. I have been so pleased with the decision to put my mother in Encore and on this Thanksgiving day of gratitude I want to send a Big thanks to the whole crew for their top-notch care and for making sure that my mom’s golden years are truly golden.

Kaitlin really made it an easy process getting my buddy into encore.. Very professionally done and all the aides, nurses and staff are all very kind to my buddy and all the other people. March 3, 2023... So my buddy Ray has been in Encore since July of 2022.. He is doing really well.. Anytime there's an issue say he needs clothes or needs personal items I get a call and I get it taken care of.. I really like the system that they have... My buddy Ray really seems happy there.. I like that there are restaurants very close me and Ray's favorite is right across the street Pesaro's Italian.... Thanks again to all the nurses and aides and all the staff...

My mom needed to be urgently moved to a memory care facility. Her situation is similar to a lot of low income seniors that need help but not a nursing home. My family needed a place that would accept medicaid and provide high quality care that would be close to a family member. I can go on an on about the challenges of finding a quality community that will accept medicaid. From the moment I started working with Simone Rivera I knew my mom would be in great hands with the Encore team. Simone helped re-assure me regarding Encore acceptance of medicaid, helping me through a very very difficult time. She went above and beyond even coming in on a Saturday to get my mom moved in. My mom has been in the community for just two weeks and she is is having good and bad days. The care and compassion she and our family has received from everyone on the Encore staff has been amazing. No one place is perfect for sure and there is always room for improvement. But when you walk into a facility that is clean, has loving, caring, friendly people willing to work with your loved one to make them feel safe and be happy and have a quality of life in these golden years that says it all. Thank you Simone, Suze, Dinaya, Lucy, Anita, Maxine, Carleana, Maria, Andre and the many other team members and support staff for helping my mom. I pray she is able to stay at Encore till she is called home to be with the Lord. Encore at Avalon Park was my Mom's home for almost six years. We loved the way my mom was cared for with love and respect. The staff was excellent with figuring ways to redirect residents in the memory care area as needed. The staff kept my mom clean, fed, entertained, and happy. The facility is beautiful and we enjoyed many special events and family time there. The Friday Happy Hours were always great with snacks and entertainment. The administrative staff worked so hard so we could keep my mom at the facility as long as possible. The staff also worked hard to allow me to talk to my mom on the phone and some on FaceTime. They also gave special attention to my dad when he visited. I cannot count the number of cups of coffee he was given with sweet smiles. I will always appreciate these wonderful caregivers. Encore at Avalon Park was truly family for my mom and the rest of my family.

I have been very pleased with the care that my mom has received at Encore at Avalon Park. She moved in there in May of 2017 and it has been a very good experience for her. The caregivers are kind and faithful in caring for her needs. She has been on one of the Memory Care floors and the thing I like best is that they provide activities each morning and afternoon for the residents. She is never left alone in her room. They also did an amazing job of keeping the residents safe during the pandemic. There was no outbreak of Covid there. I believe that Encore has been a Godsend for me and my mom and my family. I highly recommend Encore if you are looking for good care for a loved one.

Encore at Avalon Park is a beautiful facility. It is very evident from the moment you walk through the doors that the top priority is to provide an "at home" atmosphere for residents and their families. Lots of interactive activities - always something fun going on for the residents to enjoy in a safe and caring environment. Additionally, Encore at Avalon Park is a wonderful community partner to the Arthritis Foundation.
