I have been associated with Chapel Pointe (then the Alliance Home) since 1992. This is a remarkable organization because it has consistently stuck with its vision and mission. It is my desire some day to move into this community. I have witnessed first hand how residents are treated in the Personal Care facility and the Skilled Care facility. While there is no place this side of Heaven which is perfect, Chapel Pointe has consistently put people before profits. While it does not claim to be all things to all people, it recognizes the value of people who are made in the image of God and thus have great value. Relationships at Chapel Pointe are deemed to be important. Treating people with dignity and respect is a hallmark of this place.

I am so blessed to have placed my mom in Chapel Pointe after removing her from the nightmare called Church Of God Retirement facility! The staff at Chapel Pointe is outstanding! This facility is professional, caring, compassionate, and clean. You can rest assured that your loved one will receive the best care possible. I am so blessed to have placed my mother in Chapel Pointe. She is in skilled nursing due to her advancing dementia. It took a little while for her to adjust to her surroundings, which was understandable. During that time the staff made every effort to keep her comfortable and in good spirits. Now that my mother has adjusted she is content and has developed an excellent rapport with each of the staff. They keep me posted on every detail of her health and well-being, including the times that her sense of humor keeps them laughing. The decision to move a loved one into a care facility is very, very hard and not all family members will give you the support you need. That's why I 'm extremely grateful for the peace I have found knowing that my dear mother is in good hands at Chapel Pointe.

I started working in 2016 as an Activity Assistant in Garden View, the memory care unit of Chapel Pointe, and loved every single day with the residents. I had to leave in 2017 to further my education. Garden View has a very homey atmosphere where residents get specialized care by learning each of the resident's unique needs and preferences and then creating an individualized program of activities and care based on those preferences. And then I transitioned to Nursing Assistant and Medication Technician when I returned in 2020. I really appreciated the fact that my co-workers gave me a good welcome back peer interview and that my superiors trusted me. I then started also working in Personal Care which furthered my experience and knowledge being in direct care with the residents. In Personal Care residents drive their own schedules with breakfast, bathing, sleeping and medication administration on flexible schedules designed around individual needs. It is not a traditional facility with set schedules where everybody needs to wake up at the same time and eat at the same time or sleep at the same time. We believe and respect our resident's dignity. Chapel Pointe has been voted The Best of Cumberland County in 2021 and also for the past several years. And it really deserves it!

We moved my father into Chapel Pointe when caring for him became too difficult at home. It helped that a couple of his siblings were already residents and their children (our cousins) said we should do whatever was needed to get him a spot there. Initially he lived in the Personal Care wing, where the staff patiently helped him and our family make the adjustments needed for such a big change. Near the end of his first year, his needs shifted and he was moved into the Skilled Care area. His care, the loving nursing staff (who treated him with dignity also communicated regularly with our family), the administrative staff (who helped intensively with the financial processes) and the overall sense of positive commitment to the residents well-being make Chapel Pointe a 'no-regret' choice for the care of daddy.

The Skilled Care Team at Chapel Pointe took great care of my mom, Donna, during her final two weeks of life. They also did a great job accommodating our family for visiting with her during those weeks. My mom said that she didn't want to be a burden to anyone, especially her family, which is why we moved her there from her sister's house in nearby East Berlin. When she was there in her first hours, she said, "Oh, I'm home now." Between my mom's comfort there, and the wonderful staff, Chapel Pointe was the best I could have asked for. Thank you so much!

My 92 year old father, Rev. Norman Handy, is well cared for at Chapel Pointe in Carlisle, Pa. He loves the staff and residents and has felt safe throughout this entire COVID pandemic. I highly recommend Chapel Pointe as a safe and loving place to live.

I can't say enough good things about Chapel Pointe! My mom moved there (in Independent Living) 4 years ago and she is very happy, her apt. is beautiful, and she loves sitting on her balcony. The staff is incredibly thoughtful and caring -- they go over and above to make sure you're okay, maintenance requests are completed within hours, and everyone is extremely friendly. She loves going to the on-site Cafe for a bowl of soup or a sandwich or just to get milk for her coffee. Walmart, Panera, & Chick-fil-a are across the street; CVS and her bank are a 5 minute walk (without crossing a street). It is clean & safe, and gives us real peace of mind to know she's being treated with respect. I HIGHLY recommend it!

I worked here as a CNA on the skilled households for seven years. I worked at two long term care facilities prior to that and Chapel Pointe far exceeds them all with their person centered care and households that offer a home like atmosphere for the residents and a sense of community and family. The care here is absolutely outstanding and I am heartbroken that I left. There's a reason Chapel Pointe wins Carlisle's best every year. When you treat the person and see the person you win everytime and this is the kind of care the residents entrusted in our care absolutely deserve. Chapel Pointes mission statement of "a loving way of life" is definetly exemplified and put into action by every staff member there. OUTSTANDING facility!
