I respect people's various opinions, but I disagree with the post from LB. A family member has been in Palm Beach Memory Care for almost 1 year. Our family has found the staff incredibly responsive to our questions, concerns and to the safety of the residents, staff and guests of the residents. As for the food, Tae, and his unbelievable staff serve FRESH meals to the residents: Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. For lunch and dinner, there is always a hot soup and two choices of entrees along with dessert. Several times our family has chosen to eat at Palm Beach Memory Care with our loved one for a PBMC planned event (Mother's Day, Father's Day, Holidays etc.) or a family birthday celebration. At those events, I have SEEN the food, and EATEN the food. My favorite is Tae's salmon! The staff has always been respectful and pleasant. The nursing staff, Sandy the speech therapist, and Ellie (along with the entire PT team) are kind, and truly understand the patient population they are working with. We have noted a difference when therapy is given consistently. Their team has helped with overall mobility, confidence and walking with a walker. Gina and Rafael (the main activity leaders at this time) engage the residents who want to engage in a group activity. The activities range from painting, corn hole toss to karaoke, word games, and tai chi. ALL the residents are encouraged to participate, however, it's never predictable if a resident will be interested or not on any given day. Activities are offered throughout the day. No one is ever forced to participate. Training is provided for all staff and aides in the specifics of Dementia, Alzheimer's, and the physical and emotional elements of aging. Training is ongoing as additional staff is hired. There is a salon available to the residents. The salon hairstylist is comfortable working with memory care patients and they come out of the salon looking GREAT! My family members and I have all been VERY pleased with the care our loved one is receiving at PBMC.

My husband has been in PBMC since Day 1. I believe PBMC has had its growing pains and staffing issues— the same as any other new business; however, I disagree with the horrid review from LB stating the treatment was close to "borderline elder abuse". LB is essentially saying it's acceptable to me that I continue to keep my husband in a facility that mistreats its residents. The writer is certainly entitled to her comments, but the past is the past. Let's talk today. I'm at PBMC with my husband 29 out of 30 days a month. I've seen a positive change in management and the increased staffing, consists of professional, considerate, hardworking employees in all positions. The facility is immaculate, and the food is thoughtfully prepared. Residents are treated with respect. The amazing Activities Department exercises with the residents and keeps them engaged in various activities. Musical performers and a music therapist are brought in on a regular basis. The residents truly enjoy the entertainment; they sing along and dance, and the smiles on their faces would melt your heart. Conversely, if I have an issue or notice something that needs attention, Management has an open-door policy and I don't hesitate to express my concerns. Regularly scheduled Family Nights are an opportunity for family members to express their views and comments/concerns/suggestions in an open forum. If I had an opportunity to do it all over again, I wouldn't hesitate to choose PBMC. I feel comfortable knowing that my husband is in good hands. Mrs C

My mother has been a Palm Beach Memory Care resident for the past year. Watching a family member's cognitive decline is not easy under any circumstances, but PBMC has helped me more comfortably navigate the challenges. Some facilities I visited seemed institutional and cold, but PBMC feels warm, homey, clean, and bright. I like that my visits begin with a personal welcome from the women at the sign-in desk. My mother entered PBMC underweight but is now eating well. Tae, the chef, Cheryl, and the kitchen staff prepare delicious meals for the residents. I like that families are invited to join together on holidays, including the Jewish High Holidays, to share a festive meal. The activities led by Rafael, Gina, and the staff are varied and engaging. Seeing residents sing and dance during musical programming in the afternoons is heartwarming. James is not only tops with maintenance; he also brings a smile to my mother's face when he greets her with one of his own. Erika, Kyla, and the nursing staff monitor her health and patiently administer her medication. Some days, it takes a lot of patience, creativity, and chocolate pudding! My mother also receives and benefits from language therapy and physical therapy. I am grateful for the kindness and expertise with dementia shown by the Legacy therapists to the clients. My mother does not understand language well anymore but clearly understands that she is safe and loved at PBMC. That's what it's all about.

Palm Beach Memory Care is a fantastic place that combines a beautiful setting with great care from an amazing staff! Their specialization in caring for elderly with dementia is what drew us to the facility as my uncle could no longer live independently. The nursing staff is excellent and very skilled. They're not just professional but also really caring, making sure each resident gets the individual attention they need. The common areas are bright and roomy, perfect for hanging out or joining in activities. This is especially important to my uncle as he enjoys his mobility and becomes easily frustrated when confined. The wide open halls and layout make it perfect for my uncle to roam and still feel a sense of independence, yet remaining safe and secure. What also stands out is their amazing team of activity coordinators. They're great at coming up with fun and engaging activities that match each residents' interests and abilities. Whether it's arts and crafts, music sessions, or group games, they always have something exciting going on. Their enthusiasm and creativity help keep residents active and connected. It's clear that they care about keeping residents social and involved, which is imperative for my uncle as he tends to self isolate. If you're looking for a warm, lively place for a loved one with dementia, where they can stay active and happy, I highly recommend Palm Beach Memory Care!

This is the best assisted living care place I have experienced. My brother sustained a brain injury two years ago. I have had him in five previous facilities since his accident and Palm Beach Memory Care is a God send. Everything is right here for someone not able to take care of themself. The staff, From top to bottom cares and do an excellent job. I think it's the right size place. No elevators needed and clean. Activities are common. And the food is good. I know this because I visit and taste it. I see what's going on and only have praise for PBMC. They do it right. They even provide a place for family members to gather for counseling and listen to family issues. I don't mind identifying myself either as a family member if anyone wants to reach me . I am a geriatric care manager and recently assisted with placing a client here. This facility and staff truly have an understanding of how to care for those with dementia. It's evidenced by their activity programming, staff training and education, enthusiasm and engagement. Not to mention, the facility is beautifully designed and CLEAN! We transitioned to PBMC from another assisted living facility where the care was severely lacking, leading to further cognitive and physical decline. Since moving to PBMC, I have seen a marked improvement in my client's well being and I cannot be more grateful. Special shout out to Cindy in sales and Kyla (director of nursing) who have helped make the move in process absolutely seamless and always with a smile. Thank you for all that you do.
