When we first start looking for a place for my wife .Then we looked at this place on the website.And it looked exactly like it. We didn’t know what to expect .Been almost 2 weeks and meeting the People the staff. It’s been wonderful they are friendly kind and professional. Taking good care of my wife and her needs.The place is big clean it’s like being at home lots of room. Place to sit outside and just relax.location is also great for us.I’m glad we found this place.

On my first visit there they were clean and quiet and very kind and I really liked it there and I feel like my friend who's dying that's there is in a very good place. I highly recommend it.

Yesterday I was given a tour by Rossy Saldana, the Admissions Director. What I saw was a very nice facility, and patients that appeared to be very happy with the care they are getting. There is a lot of longevity with the staff, which speaks to a real commitment to their job and especially their patients!

My husband has been at Ridglea Medical Lodge for two months and has been well cared for. Shawn, his wound care nurse, is kind, efficient and effective. All his daily nurses are knowledgeable and compassionate, especially Angel, Annette and Sadie; and Kathy, the DON, is top notch. The food is good too, which is a delightful change from other places he has been. I would recommend the facility to others.

My advice: Monitor your family member closley, talk to nurses and other staff about their care and needs. KEEP documentation, follow up on all issues with email, in case you need to report incidents later. My family member entered into skilled nursing after a heart attack and transitioned to long-term care. For the most part the staff nurses and PT staff was caring. We did experience issues with the call bell not being answered, my mother went for hours before being changed or pain addressed. I called and reported to staff on duty and to Kathy head nurse. My family members wounds were not being dressed properly which caused more issues, again I reported this. On weekends there is temporary staff who may be unfamiliar with your family members needs. There was confusion with setting up outside doctor appointments, in most cases the doctor office sent request directly to facility nursing staff directly so the I was unware of appt until the day of. My family member passed away from complications and we NEVER even received a sympathy card, PITAFUL.. some of the staff didnt even acknowle us the day of, the Director Doug sat with his feet propped up in a chair as I tried to nagivate with another staff member, his lack of compassion was pitaful. I absolutely love Ridgmar Medical Lodge .. The staff is fabulous especially Annette who is my brothers nurse .. I know my brother can be cantankerous sometimes but the staff is fabulous dealing with his many needs .. They always call me if there is something that needs to be addressed medically, mentally , or just updates .. I don’t live i n the same town as my brother so I trust this staff Immensely. They are so caring , loving and helpful . I'm so very grateful for this facility and the nurses that take care of my loved one, my grandmother has been getting wonderful care. My grandmother can be a lot at times, but everyone always treats her like their own. Shawn in wound care is very attentive and always keeps me updated on my gma's treatments. I've been in many skilled living centers and nursing homes over the years all across Texas I have come to find this facility to be very professional I found them to be very kind to me I found them to be very attentive I found them to follow a very professional and convenient schedule into all services that they offer I like it here and from the very beginning it felt like I was around family if you're looking for a place to possibly move a loved one into please take the time to consider ridgmar medical Lodge not only when i moved in did they help me with everything I had to do but I've already been to the eye doctor and have a scheduled appointment for other services providing immediate help in regards to my needs I found the staff to be very respectful and a lot of fun

Updated review! after speaking with administration, I can say I am satisfied with the outcome of how things are being taken care of. To be honest, I would not prefer one of my family members here, but if you live in the ridgmar area and want to be close to your family members, I would recommend Ridgmar Medical Lodge as an option.

My mother was at this facility, and she could not have gotten better care anywhere else. The staff and other patients were so kind to her and she really enjoyed her stay. She loved going to the gym and interacting with other patients in the activities. We are so pleased with our experience. We would recommend this facility to anyone.

I fell in love with Kelli the Admissions Director the first day I met her!! And I still am talk to her almost every day when I go see my mom, you would think we have known each other for years instead of just a few weeks. I felt so comfortable in talking with her that I knew I had found the place I wanted my mom to be long term. The nurses have been great! They got her bed sore healed with in a few weeks of being there, she had it since she was in the hospital over a month before. I am so happy I chose this place for my mom to be long term. I feel they are going to take great care of her. She got moved to her permanent the other day, and I have started to decorate it to make it feel more like home. Kathy Petty

My mother had to come here for rehabilitation. We were thoroughly impressed with the building and it’s staff. The business office manager was helpful from beginning to end. She really knew her job and was helpful even when we had questions about our mothers care. I highly recommend this place.

Ridgemar is one of the best nursing facilities in the state of texas, i lived there awhile. Family needed me to move closer to home, had my daughter had one parent i would of stayed, i felt safe,loved, and well takwn care ofl staff is so friendly, and almost like family there my daughter graduates soon id love to move back, while she starts her new its time i live my best life so that dhe mayjourneydaughtergradalmost a year no complaints at all the young ladies are excellently trained, and love their work, they have a urgency about the care they give resident work

I was a patient there for 2 months (I had a stroke) for rehab. I loved the rehab & the rehab staff. I give the rehab 5 stars. ***** They helped me so much. I fell there twice in the bathroom. I pulled the red button each time i fell but nobody came. I struggled to get into my wheelchair both times I feel. I then went out to the nurses station. I said very loudly to the group of aids & nurses at the station, " nobody answers the red light anymore" I hurt so bad i was in tears. I don't remember names but a male LVN went into action to help me. But in general, they were short staffed. That being said, the time was 2 to 5 minutes answering the lights. Some nurses & LVN's were NIA. I wheeled out to the nurses station, nobody's there. I wheeled around to try to find someone. Nope. I needed my pain meds. I did experience a TIA while in rehab. All rehab staff helped me to get to the nurses station. Called the ambulance. All good there. However JPS, that's another bad story. At the time Kindred was being bought while I was there & the staff was on edge. My aid in the morning was awesome. She gave me my showers, she took her time. She was great. The kitchen personale was great. They cooked my meals very well. However, the use of their brand of margarine was nasty tasting. I know margarine they could use that tasted alot better & could of bought just as inexpensive as their current brand. The laundry was great. They lost a few of my clothes. But she looked until they found my clothes. But my overall stay was ok. I would recommend this establishment if rehab is needed.

They got new owners and it's called Ridgmar Medical Lodge and they made a lot of changes I've been here for about 2 to 3 months from a leg amputaion and they meet my need.

I want to commend the staff. They are taking excellent care of my father's needs. They are going above and beyond the call of duty. Devin is a great physical therapist who is kind and patient with my 85 year old father when he gets frustrated and confused, and he is very motivational to him when he gets recalcitrant. Tonight I went to the front reception desk to inquire about the price of a meal ticket. The gentleman at the desk told me it was $3.00. I told him I would like to buy one. I pulled a ticket out and handed it to me and said, "This one is on the house. You can buy one tomorrow night." I told him thank you, and proceeded to walk to the dining room with my meal ticket in hand. I saw one of the nurses who worked with my dad awhile back named Stephen. He saw I had my meal ticket. He told me to save the ticket for another time, and he gave me a meal tray off the rack. They are really great people.
