I can't say enough good things about Sierra Place. I brought my friend there to check it out and she decided that day to move in. We were treated with such care and kindness by every staff person we met. My friend is thriving there and we no longer need to worry about her safety and care from the other side of the country. I have visited lovely senior living places in Massachusetts, where I am from, but none compares to Sierra Place.

Our parents moved in Sierra Place a year ago, Mom is now in heaven. The staff is carrying, compassionate & our father adores them. The Mgmt team is understanding, thoughtful & warmhearted, when you have a concern they listen & take action. Sierra Place has been and is a good fit for our dad.

My mom has been living at Sierra Place for almost 1 1/2 years. We looked at several places in the area and Sierra Place was the best fit for her. We love that the staff is friendly, cheerful and helpful. We are always greeted with a smile. The staff and residents are awesome, my mom has made some very good friends within the community. The residents have several options of activities, they can be busy all day long if they choose; exercise classes, yoga, exercise room; bingo, poker, Texas Hold Em, puzzle tables and more. Most Thursday afternoons they have a Happy Hour for the residents and they seem to really enjoy the entertainment. My mom is never without something to do. The facility is very nice, clean and has a cheerful feel, there is a nice outdoor area for walking or sitting to enjoy the outdoors. I feel very grateful for Sierra Place and feel that my mom's needs are being met and I feel very safe with her living there.

When we needed a place for my dad we knew the only choice was Sierra Place. They have great facilities but more importantly to us was the people running the facility. Their staff is second to none. Chemane toured us around and it was very clear that everyone worked as a team to make sure the residents were happy and well cared for. Now that my dad has been there awhile we have had a chance to see how things are run day to day. We could not have made a better decision. The residents are happy and the staff has a great attitude and are always smiling and happy to help with anything the resident needs. If you need to turn the care of a family member over to others our family would highly recommend you going to Sierra Place and checking out what they have to offer. You will not find a better place for your loved one to live and be cared for as family.

We are so happy to have found Sierra Place for our dear friend. We felt like part of the family from the moment we entered the front door. It is so great to have so many activities to choose from, great food, nice apartments and beautiful grounds. It is such a relief knowing our friend is safe and in excellent care.

Moved my Mom into Sierra Place and she couldn't be happier! The staff is great! Attentive and friendly. They made her feel right at home the moment she stepped through the door. They offer fun activities on a daily basis. The meal selection is great as well. Chemane, their Relations Director, was great to work with! Very kind and helpful throughout the entire move-in process. She went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. I highly recommend Sierra Place Carson City!

My dad has been at Sierra Place for 3 years. He has been well taken care of. The place is always clean and well kept. His room is nice and cleaned every week. His clothes are cleaned also. The staff is absolutely the best. They are caring and interested in making the residents comfortable. The nursing staff are caring and informed. They know the status and needs of the residents and are in contact with family when needed. The front desk staff always answer the phone, get you to the right people, and when you visit, they know where the residents are. It's great!

We met with Joy for a consult. She took over an hour to help us understand all of the levels of care, and all of our options. Although our Mom needs a memory care facility, she helped us figure out our possibilities, and recommended lots of resources. During an extremely stressful and vulnerable time, it's nice to know that there are caring people who will help you head in the right direction, regardless of what is in it for them. Sierra Place is a lovely facility with a caring staff. Definitely at the top of our list when Dad decides to sell the house and let someone else do the laundry. I would highly recommend!

My Grandmother is here and 1,000+ miles from us. We visited her recently and absolutely love it here. The Staff is AMAZING! Every single one of them smiles, greets you, talks to you and gets to know you. It is a secure place to live, knowledgable staff 24/7 and close to the Hospital. I can't say enough positive things about Sierra Place, it's Staff and the grounds. I am so glad my Grandmother chose to live here.

The staff here are very pleasant and caring. The nursing staff is good. The food is good. That being said, they are having trouble retaining staff and are having problems keeping up with the resident's day to day living needs: room cleaning, trash removal, bed making, etc. My relative moved into a studio apartment and the cupboards are so high that they can't be reached without a step stool. At 93 one should not be on a step stool. I also asked to have the small microwave mounted under the cupboard to keep the 2 sq feet of counter space free and was told by maintenance that they couldn't do it because they didn't have a bracket. There is a Lowe's and Home Depot in town. I'm disappointed that while the rent keeps going up, the attention to certain details is going down. Sent from my iPhon

The staff is nice. My relative moved in a 4 years ago. At that time they had plenty staff. I think because of the economic change it's been hard to retain the staff and things that are "Paid"for in the rent and extra chargers are not being done. Like laundry and room cleaning. However the rent keeps going up.

I cant speak highly enough about Sierra Place and the amazing people that work there! My Grandma has lived her for the past 3 years and it has been more of a family than just a place to live! My grandma has just recently gone to Heaven and I have had the opportunity to witness amazing compassion the last few days and a willingness to make sure we as a family are all ok! Over the years I have made life long friends and will continue to come and vist other resedents that i have also come to know! The only reason I give four stars is because I always believe in improvement. As humans we are not suppose to be perfect. I am a caregiver and a Med Tech here, we have our good days and our bad days just like any other place, but at the end of the day I am proud and amazed at the team I have. No matter what they are going through they come to work with a smile on their face trying to make every resident as comfortable and as happy as we can. Our residents become our family, each of them teach us a lesson, each of them leaves an impact on our lives and for that there is no rating.

It's an amazing place to work/live the residents and the staff are friendly. The residents and the staff are always happy to meet new people. We make our new residents feel like there home. We treat them as family and the residents treat us as family as well.

Sierra Place is a great place to work. I have been working at Sierra Place for five years. I love the residents and my fellow co-workers. When I walk into the building I feel comfort and happiness. It's like my home away from home. Just like being at home some days are harder than others. But we always have each other (residents and employees) to keep our day interesting happy and fun.

I am a family physician and hospice and palliative care practitioner. I recommend my patients who are looking for assisted living in Carson City check out Sierra Place. While many facilities have lovely grounds and buildings and furnishings and table settings, what makes Sierra Place stand out for me is the personal and compassionate care provided by their attentive nurse supervisor Janice. Her great attitude is contagious to her staff, including her medication technicians and aides. That is a quality hard to measure, yet it is what makes the difference between a great looking facility and a great facility.
