After visiting many independent/assisted facilities for mom, the Sheridan of Oak Brook stood out and is in a league of its own! The minute you walk in, you feel like you're in a luxury hotel. You're always greeted with warm welcomes from the front desk. The staff is extremely friendly and they really take the time to get to know the residents. The facility is always immaculately clean including the outdoor spaces. Food is outstanding with lots of choices daily. Mom has enjoyed meeting new friends and participating in many activities.This decision can be hard for families to make but with all the amenities the Sheridan has to offer along with management being so helpful, this decision turned out not to be hard at all!

I cannot say enough about the absolutely incredible facility, The Sheridan Oak Brook. My parents moved to their Independent Living more than 2 years ago. Mom and Dad RAVE about how fabulous every meal is. Each evening, they head down to the lobby for "Pour at Four" Happy Hour and have made dozens wonderful friends. Every member of the staff is warm and friendly. They genuinely care about the residents and their families, reaching out with any concerns the team may have. Recently, Mom and Dad moved to the Assisted Living floor as more help was needed. The Sheridan made the transition as easy as possible. Thank you to the entire team at The Sheridan. . .

My Mom moved into the Sheridan in May 2023. It's been a great experience. The staff and the other residents are very friendly and caring. The staff gives our family confidence that she's getting the best care.

My 97 year old mom has been a resident on the Assisted LIving floor of The Sheridan for a year and one half. We are continually impressed and grateful for the level of care, including healthcare she receives from the staff at all levels on a daily basis. The options for daily activities, special programs and themed events have enriched the lives of all of the residents.The Sheridan is not only beautiful, but is professionally staffed and managed, so I highly recommend it to any family seeking a safe, caring, first class facility for their loved one.

Having been involved with other assisted living and memory care facilities, I can say The Sheridan ranks at the top of my list for the living environment they provide their residents. The facility is clean, modern and welcoming, and the staff is caring, friendly and work very hard to meet the needs of it's residents. They offer a variety of activities and entertainment to suit just about any resident's interests and they solicit feedback on a regular basis on where they can improve their services and support, and work to meet those requests. Like all communities in this industry, they are challenged finding and adding qualified caregiving team members, but those they have are caring, empathetic and respectful, and have a passion to provide the support and assistance needed for the hard work they are hired to do. Sure, one can always find fault with any Assisted Living community but the positive aspects of The Sheridan far outweigh the negatives. We are very thankful we found The Sheridan for our mother to live and be cared for as she draws closer to the end of her life.

Having briefly worked in senior care, I know how difficult it is to find people who genuinely care about the residents. My mother has lived at the Sheridan for nearly a year now and we know she is not only very happy but, very well taken care of. No place is perfect and the transition to senior care is difficult on everyone but, the people at the Sheridan have been there at every step of the way to make it a positive experience.

The Sheridan at oak brooks nursing and caregiving department are very attentive, especially MariAnn the nurse and Sabrina the caregiver. Rachael the resident programming director is always very helpful to me as well. The food is great, the environment feels homey and the team as well as the residents are friendly.

The Sheridan of OakBrook is very different than any other AL/IL/MC facility. The look and feel is like a 5 star hotel, or vacation resort with hidden nursing and CNA staff. It focuses on quality of life and fosters connection with family and friends because there are many activities that they can participate in onsite.

The Sheridan has been a wonderful fit for my Mother who was hesitant to move. It's always fun to walk in to visit and see all the activity going on. She can pick and choose what to participate in. She's made friends and still has her private space. We are happy she is being taken care of so well.

While I do not have any family members who reside at The Sheridan, my wife and I took a tour of the facility yesterday as we have clients who regularly ask us about recommendations to assisted living, independent living and memory care communities as they downsize from their larger residences. Physically, it's beautiful. 10 foot ceilings. Tasteful decor. Very clean. Impressive common areas. The location in mid Oak Brook is extraordinarily convenient as well.

We were met by staff led by the Executive Director. Everyone welcomed us by name and we were immediately seated for a delicious lunch. Following lunch we were showed to our apartments and everyone was eager to help us get settled. I can't remember another time when so many staff were so accommodating and wanting to do anything necessary to make us feel welcome. It was a superb gesture on the part of the Sheridan and we look forward very much to our stay here.

We were looking for something new and different from revamped nursing homes. This is the best place for independent living we found. The facilities, staff and amenities are superb. Living here is like being in a five star hotel with the freedoms to enjoy our lives. We are so grateful to the outstanding staff.

Staff was courteous and attentive. Still early so great ratio of staff to residents. The food is excellent and a variety of regular offerings with daily specials. Check out the shrimp scampi.
