My mom has been living at The Sheridan at Oak Brook for 18 months, and I've been really happy with the experience. From the moment you walk in, the front desk staff ” especially Ivana and Judy ” greet everyone with such warmth and care. It sets the tone for the whole community. The activities team, and especially Daunte, keeps residents engaged and active with a fantastic variety of programs from music to trivia to exercise. The food is good. Dining room and bistro staff are so kind and patient. And when I was first exploring options, Patti on the sales team was so helpful, and she continues to watch out for my mom, helping her make friends even now. Overall, The Sheridan at Oak Brook has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and residents seem happy. Highly recommend to any family looking for a senior living community.

From the moment you walk in to this facility you get a sense of confort and care. Everyone shows compassion and care for the residents. Diala, Jess and everyone from the wellness team truly cares about every resident and always do their best to provide the best level of care. I’ve had the pleasure to work with Diala and her team numerous times on providing custom mobility equipment to the residents; they always focus and prioritize the patients’ needs.

This is a beautiful property with caring individuals. I had to make some difficult decisions to place my dad in an independent living community and we have loved it since he moved in. He had some health set backs and the team at The Sheridan quickly responded and helped get my dad settled in his new apartment with such a quick turnaround time. I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you about one employee of the Sheridan of Oakbrook who is simply the best! She cares deeply about all the residents and you can see that every day in her interactions with the residents, including my Aunt Cassie. There is no job too big or too small for Patti. Our parents live at The Sheridan Oak Brook. They are both very happy there and have met wonderful friends. The overall staff is outstanding and the Nurses and Caregivers take excellent care of our Dad. Kuddos to Directors Ann Marie and Diala. They are hands on and constantly going Above and Beyond! We have seen positive changes constantly, since they have moved into their roles. Our family recently helped our dad move into The Sheridan at Oak Brook and we could not be more grateful for the experience so far. After touring more than a dozen communities across the western suburbs from Glen Ellyn to Lombard, Elmhurst, and Downers Grove most felt either too clinical or lacked the vibrancy and flexibility he wanted. When we toured The Sheridan at Oak Brook, we immediately felt the difference. The community has real energy: the lobby and bar area are lively, residents are social, and it truly feels like a place people want to live while still maintaining independence and access to the care they need. We also want to recognize two incredible team members who made this transition much easier. Patti, who gave us our initial tours, immediately made our family feel welcome and informed and continues to be a trusted source of guidance for our dad. Dalia and her staff have also been outstanding! Their attention, compassion, and professionalism in caring for residents, including our dad, gives our family tremendous peace of mind. Finding an assisted living place that handles both the clinical and emotional side of aging is rare. The nursing leaders are approachable, empathetic, and highly professional. They are always available to discuss care updates and go the extra mile to coordinate outside resources when necessary. The in-house therapy (PT/OT) is also excellent and keeps the family well-informed. Plus, the building itself is lovely, great food and plenty of comfortable spaces to spend time with family.

We moved my father into The Sheridan at Oak Brook, and the experience has been excellent. Patti and the team have been incredibly communicative, warm, and accommodating throughout the entire process. Wonderful all the way around. I am a daughter looking with her mom just to get a feel for it and I see it as a wonderful place to live, socialize, be healthy, meet new friends. Right when you walk in you are welcomed with a smile. Friendly people all over. The faculty is beautiful with so many opportunities to socialize. We had lunch and the food was great and the service so polite and friendly. The staff is not pushy, does not rush conversations, and listens to your situation. I think it’s 5 stars!

After visiting The Sheridan at Oak Brook while searching for the right place for my mom and dad, I walked out feeling a huge sense of relief. From the moment we came in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive not just to us, but to every resident we saw. It felt like they truly knew the people who live there and cared about their day-to-day happiness. What really touched me was how lively the community felt. There were activities going on, residents laughing together, and a sense of real connection everywhere you looked. It didn’t feel clinical or impersonal it felt like a place where my mom and dad could stay active, social, and supported. Leaving that day, I felt comforted knowing this is the kind of environment where they would be treated with kindness and respect, while still enjoying life. It honestly felt like we found the place we’d been hoping for.

As with any community that accommodates so many individuals, it's impossible to make everyone happy. However, having gotten to personally interact with several in current leadership roles, I have no doubt that they want to do their absolute best for their residents. I've gotten to know a number of the residents there as well and all have told me about good experiences living there. I would certainly be happy to move my family there if needed.

Unfortunately The Sheridan Oak Brook has gone completely downhill. The management has turned over and over and they are cutting back to the point that the care of the residents is greatly been affective. The food is terrible. The wait at the dining room for food is extreme. The Independent living residents and assisted living residents aren't allowed to eat in the same dining room which is sad. The wait time when a resident presses a button for assistance can be over an hour. Don't be fooled by the nice foyer.

I cannot say enough about the absolutely incredible facility, The Sheridan Oak Brook. My parents moved to their Independent Living more than 2 years ago. Mom and Dad RAVE about how fabulous every meal is. Each evening, they head down to the lobby for "Pour at Four" Happy Hour and have made dozens wonderful friends. Every member of the staff is warm and friendly. They genuinely care about the residents and their families, reaching out with any concerns the team may have. Recently, Mom and Dad moved to the Assisted Living floor as more help was needed. The Sheridan made the transition as easy as possible. Thank you to the entire team at The Sheridan. . .

My 97 year old mom has been a resident on the Assisted LIving floor of The Sheridan for a year and one half. We are continually impressed and grateful for the level of care, including healthcare she receives from the staff at all levels on a daily basis. The options for daily activities, special programs and themed events have enriched the lives of all of the residents.The Sheridan is not only beautiful, but is professionally staffed and managed, so I highly recommend it to any family seeking a safe, caring, first class facility for their loved one.

The Sheridan at oak brooks nursing and caregiving department are very attentive, especially MariAnn the nurse and Sabrina the caregiver. Rachael the resident programming director is always very helpful to me as well. The food is great, the environment feels homey and the team as well as the residents are friendly.

Having been involved with other assisted living and memory care facilities, I can say The Sheridan ranks at the top of my list for the living environment they provide their residents. The facility is clean, modern and welcoming, and the staff is caring, friendly and work very hard to meet the needs of it's residents. They offer a variety of activities and entertainment to suit just about any resident's interests and they solicit feedback on a regular basis on where they can improve their services and support, and work to meet those requests. Like all communities in this industry, they are challenged finding and adding qualified caregiving team members, but those they have are caring, empathetic and respectful, and have a passion to provide the support and assistance needed for the hard work they are hired to do. Sure, one can always find fault with any Assisted Living community but the positive aspects of The Sheridan far outweigh the negatives. We are very thankful we found The Sheridan for our mother to live and be cared for as she draws closer to the end of her life.

The Sheridan of OakBrook is very different than any other AL/IL/MC facility. The look and feel is like a 5 star hotel, or vacation resort with hidden nursing and CNA staff. It focuses on quality of life and fosters connection with family and friends because there are many activities that they can participate in onsite.

While I do not have any family members who reside at The Sheridan, my wife and I took a tour of the facility yesterday as we have clients who regularly ask us about recommendations to assisted living, independent living and memory care communities as they downsize from their larger residences. Physically, it’s beautiful. 10 foot ceilings. Tasteful d©cor. Very clean. Impressive common areas. The location in mid Oak Brook is extraordinarily convenient as well.

We were met by staff led by the Executive Director. Everyone welcomed us by name and we were immediately seated for a delicious lunch. Following lunch we were showed to our apartments and everyone was eager to help us get settled. I can’t remember another time when so many staff were so accommodating and wanting to do anything necessary to make us feel welcome. It was a superb gesture on the part of the Sheridan and we look forward very much to our stay here.

We were looking for something new and different from revamped nursing homes. This is the best place for independent living we found. The facilities, staff and amenities are superb. Living here is like being in a five star hotel with the freedoms to enjoy our lives. We are so grateful to the outstanding staff.
