Based on my experience, I have serious concerns about resident care at this facility. I personally observed residents left unchanged for extended periods during a 12-hour shift. Chronic short staffing appeared to be a consistent issue, making it extremely difficult for frontline caregivers to meet basic care standards. I also observed environmental concerns within the building, including pest issues. Combined with ongoing staffing instability and high leadership turnover, this creates conditions where consistent, attentive care becomes challenging. Residents deserve dignity, timely assistance, and a clean, well-managed environment. Families considering placement should ask direct questions about staffing ratios, staff retention, infection control practices, and how care concerns are addressed.

I would like to pass along accolades for Katie Sanders, Director of Sales, at Provident Place of Lancaster. While in a difficult living situation in a local rehab facility, I needed to expedite leaving there and into an assisted living facility. In doing so, certain health issues complicated the timing and placement of the move. Katie reached out to me to offer multiple options for my residence at Provident Place and accomodate my . circumstances to move. I was thoroughly amazed that anyone would go out of their way to the depth of time and energy Katie expended to research options for me. She kept me engaged frequently in conversations over the course of several weeks as my circumstances kept changing. Katie was truly a caring advocate on my behalf through it all. I can't overstate enough my thanks and appreciation to her.

Our mother did not want to leave her home. We were so nervous about moving her into assisted living but she was welcomed in a way that made her comfortable and secure. She loves it! She tries to attend all the activities and she is happy with the choice of Providence Place. The staff is wonderful and competent!

The Executive Director's hands on leadership is felt through out the facility, during all shifts and through out all departments. She's the one wearing scrubs pulling a mop bucket while engaging staff and residents as she navigates the hallway en route to whatever needs doing. She's the one responsible for ensuring delivery of the highest possible quality care during a time of unprecedented obstacles. The buck stops with her and yes, she is seriously direct and discusses tragic realities with staff, clients and families daily. My parents were in two facilities prior to moving north so we knew what questions to ask. We had experienced the consequences of inept and disengaged management, and it's not pretty or safe, or anything near what you are paying for, which is a staggering amount. We have now experienced a year at Providence in Lancaster. From day one, despite the herculean task of operating an assisted living facility, our parents received compassionate and most importantly, consistently, as prescribed, accountable care! The previous facilities were aesthetically nicer, but crown molding didn't help the terrible leadership get the job done. And this job is huge. You need to have a plan for everything and then a plan b, and c. That is what we have experienced at Providence Place as we moved in and then later separated our parents, placing our Dad in the "locked" apartment floor while my mom lived alone in an apartment on the less restrictive floor. Later that year, the team sat by ours and our father's side as he slowly passed. They were our greatest source of comfort and knowledge throughout his "actively dying" experience which lasted days. The leadership and team members have been a source of comfort for us in the darkest of times of our family history. I would mention these incredible professionals by name but they might not post this so I won't, but very reluctantly. The nursing, kitchen, dementia ward, reception, med techs and housekeeping staff have made me want to be a better person. The in-house leadership has been firm, fair and most of all, accountable for the care of my parents. I have been so humbled by the humanity of Providence Place. I am so grateful to have witness the many gifts of the people working there, past and present.

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about Country Meadows-Lancaster. Our mother stayed for rehab and care after she broke her hip in a fall within her own home. Every single staff member was kind, friendly, and professional at all times. They made her feel welcome and provided great care! The rehab staff was excellent and helped her accomplish her personal goals, even going as far as helping her make coleslaw for our family Thanksgiving! The facility was clean and everyday there were activities for which she could partake if she desired. The personal care givers were so kind and we can not thank Country Meadows enough! We would highly recommend them to other families!

I have nothing but positive things to say about Country Meadows. They quickly made us feel like we were family from the minute Mom came through the doors. Mom has nothing but positive things to say since moving there in April. The staff is always smiling and laughing which says a lot about the work atmosphere. That transfers to the residents and their families when interacting with them. I can't say enough about how relieved my brothers and I are that Mom is being assisted with friendly, loving people. As I live outside the country, it really is a comfort to know she is living in a safe and friendly atmosphere. I would recommend Country Meadows to anyone who is looking to either downsize in their later years or a place that feels like home for a loved one. Country Meadows is that place! Home! Thanks to all the staff for all they do!

We had been looking for affordable assistance for Mom since last summer. Had a few "other places" in our top 3 list, but when Mom fell at her apartment all 3 of those showed their true colors--there is a huge difference between care providers and people who care. Country Meadows cares... period, dot. My brother, sister and I were all blown away by the entire staff's compassion and obvious experience. They treat Mom like royalty and welcome all of us kids with warm words on every visit. Country Meadow's campus is deceiving from the road. It's actually a three-story building, but looks like a quaint country ranch house from the sidewalk. You will like the billing... straight forward and no layers of madness. We like the by-month payment plan. Feels like we actually have a say with Mom's hard-earned cash. Unlike the "other places" who wanted her entire life's savings. Best part: Mom loves Country Meadows. Note: 4 months ago, her heels were dug in to the carpet at her old apartment. She had a white-knuckled grip on her old front door. Now? Nothing but gushing about this and that at Country Meadows. That right there validates our choice. I dont know what current unit availability is, but I suggest you get down there and talk with them just as soon as you think your parents may need this service.
