I am not pleased with the care that my mother is receiving. I previously spoke with the social worker about a staff member being ruff with her, now I am very concerned and disappointed that my mom has been sitting in the wheelchair before I arrived, I contacted the staff and let them know that she was tired and wanted to lay down. It is 8:18pm and we have been waiting since 6:52pm

My mom had had a visit with the hairdresser. All she did was wet her hair. No shampooing just water then blew dried her hair. When I knew she needed a shampoo. What gives with that! Visited her yesterday and could see her hair still looked oily.

When our neighbor Jack, who we used to enjoy 2 beers a day with while watching traffic or MeTV, was getting to the point he couldn’t care for himself full-time and started with cognitive challenges/memory issues, I feared that going into a long term care (skilled nursing) facility was going to be the beginning of the end for him. No way was this 10-year widower going to accept the idea of sharing a room with another person and giving up almost all of his independence and doing things at someone else’s will. Never did I believe it would be exactly what he needed to keep on thriving. Here we are, 6 months later, and he’s so very content every time we go to visit him. Still walking the halls and enjoying people watching, just at a different pace. Most impressive has been that every single time we’ve visited with him, we’ve encountered nothing but friendly smiling faces, at every level. From the reception desk, to the nurses, the aides, and the activity coordinator setting up for game time in the cafeteria - it’s just been heartwarming to see the compassionate personal care and attention the residents get - even checking on him while he’s eating dinner in his room! Very pleased and I regret ever thinking this was not going to be the right move for him.

Everyone there is friendly and welcoming, Connor and the entire Recreation department are Fabulous and you can tell they really care about the residents! My Dad is very happy there and we are thrilled with the care he is receiving!!
