My elderly mom stayed at Buckingham for rehab after a hospitalization (subacute rehab). We have used another facility in the past, but Buckingham is much better. She got PT everyday (compared to 5 days/week) at the other facility. Dorothy and Jack are truly great! You don't normally a husband and wife working together. They made the entire PT experience much more enjoyable with many jokes and great conversations. The entire staff are awesome. The lead social worker (Jannette) is awesome and very helpful. The lead nurse is very dedicated and called me several times late at night about some medical issues. I don't remember all the CNAs, but all were really caring and nice. Buckingham also arrange for one of the CNAs (Kennedy) to escort my mom home and help us get up the stairs in her house. This was really nice. The other facility did not offer anything like this. Buckingham is family-run and this shows. Buckingham is located in West Ridge which is heavily Orthodox Jewish neighborhood. We are not Jewish and we still felt very welcomed here. Buckingham is a hidden gem! I hope my does not get sick again, but we would definitely go back to Buckingham again!

My mom went to Buckingham Pavilion as a hospice patient. She was there for almost 6 weeks. She comfortably passed away yesterday (8/14/24). I can't say enough great things about the level of professionalism and the loving kindness that was shown to her. Tiara helped me tremendously with answering questions and being patient before my mom was admitted. Thank you Tiara. Janet is such a beautiful person. She's the right person for that job. She's excellent with people. Thank you Janet. Within the first few minutes of my mom being admitted, I had a misunderstanding about something. Eric took me and my siblings aside and explained things to us. He was very considerate, professional and respectful in the way he did that. Thank you Eric. We really appreciated that. To the entire nursing staff and care team on the second floor - you are all truly beautiful souls. The care, kindness, and love you showed my mom was above and beyond what we anticipated. You are all an exception to the rule in my book. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. To anyone reading this review and stressing about making the decision to put your loved one in Buckingham, rest assured, you'll be glad you did. We have no regrets and nothing bad to say. My mom was well taken care of. On behalf of the Neal Family, we thank you, Buckingham Pavilion.

I'm a resident here, care is excellent and the facility is Shomer Shabbos. I just avoid dairy since I only eat Cholov Yisroel, but it's not a problem. I get parve substitutes

My experience was good entering Buckingham Pavilion. The elevators were working properly & quickly without pushing both the up & down elevator buttons. The hallway leading to my wife's room 208-2 was wet due to an overflow of water from one of the hallway walk-in shower rooms

I entered Buckingham Pavillion in a wheelchair not able to walk or dress myself . With the help of daily physical therapy and Occupational therapy many of the muscles which had atrophied after two major surgeries were strengthened. The care of all the nurses CNA's and all employees were most caring , competent and professional. There wound care was impressive. In two weeks I already saw great results I was able to dress myself , walk without a walker and have greater endurance. The meals are delicious and ones dietary needs are taken care of. When I left I could climb stairs walk around the block and overall take care of my needs. I highly recommend this facility.

I get excellent care here. I can fully trust the kashrus here, and after I informed them that I only eat cholov Yisroel as soon as I got here, they've been careful to see to it that all my meals are dairy free. We're treated as people, not bodies to be manipulated . If I need to be in a nursing home, this is the place.

Five stars for Buckingham Pavilion! I moved my friend here after she had subpar care at another facility. They took wonderful care of her here, esp as she started to decline in health and awareness. They fed her by hand, they kept me updated on her condition, and were so incredibly kind to her. Thank you so much to Eric (the Administrator), Dr. Farbey, and all of the nurses and staff who helped my friend live out her final days with dignity. I will be forever grateful to all of you!

My father came from another nursing home to Buckingham and since coming he has been very happy with all the services provided. From my perspective as a doctor, I have found the nursing staff to be outstanding and truly caring deeply for my father. The communication with nursing is excellent. He has complex medical issues and Buckingham has made it easy for him to get to appointments and manage his medical issues. I am sincerely appreciative of the care he receives at Buckingham.

When I arrived at Buckingham pavilion I was unable to use my arms. I was treated with extreme gentle care. Then my legs fractured and I was unable to walk for more than a month. The nurses and aides were gentle, caring and encouraging. Thank you to all. T

Buckingham is What a Nursing Home is Supposed to Be! When it came time to find a nursing home for my father, I was deeply worried that my Dad's new home wouldn't be sufficiently caring, clean, comfortable or professionally operated. So, I researched well over a hundred nursing homes across Chicago and the suburbs. I am so glad that exhaustive search enabled me to find Buckingham Pavilion! Everyone was caring, understanding, patient and attentive to my Dad's needs. This was true of everyone on the team from the receptionists to the nurses, to the escorts, to the maintenance staff. I was never given any reason to worry about my Dad's level or care or comfort. During my many visits, I saw that he, and the other residents, were happy at Buckingham. Also, my Dad's room, the dining room and all the community spaces were always kept clean and the residents' room were significantly more spacious than at other homes. To top it off, one of the owners I frequently checked in with is not only caring, communicative and professional, but a person of great integrity. I could not be more thankful for everything that everyone at Buckingham did for my Dad and my family.
