The room seemed a little small but they took every care to make sure my mother was taking care of the nurses are excellent and made every effort to make sure she was comfortable. The doctor he was really friendly and tried to explain everything as well. Had an excellent happy attitude, explaining everything to us very friendly. I recommend if you go there. You would like it because how the people are. The nurses are very excellent. Nice and caring, so you feel your family is pretty much safe there.

I was there to visit my Aunt. From the moment I walked through the door until the moment I walked out the door, I had a totally Awesome experience. My mom was at Arbor hills 3 different stays unfortunately she passed sway in the hospital I know she would like me to mention her stay here. I would like to thank staff she recognized- Dom, Kim, Sonny & flor. I know there were other staff members but these staff members stood out. I had a really good experience checking in at Arbor Hills Nursing Center in La Mesa. The self-service kiosk was easy to use and made the process fast and simple. I did not have to wait long, and everything was clearly explained on the screen. The staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Overall, it was a smooth and pleasant experience.

The first part of January of this year we had to pull my 85 yo mother out of another nursing facility in the south bay because she was not being taken after repeated requests. From January the 10th to April the 10th Mom was at Arbor Hills, let me say that no place is perfect, but the staff at this facility tries their best. The people in the business center were a lot of help filling out paperwork, to the people in the social services office, to the folks in the kitchen like Miriam, Justin and Kevin went over and above making sure that Mom had everything she needed. I need to mention a few other standouts Amara and Janette just 2 of the physical therapists that were instrumental in Mom's recovery. There's also Wendy who is in charge of arranging translation for patients to and from their appointments. If you're looking for a place to send your loved one for rehabilitation I would highly recommend Arbor Hills.

My family member recent stayed at this skilled nursing facility for rehab, and I am truly grateful for the level of care he received. From the moment we came for a tour, the admissions director, Khanh has shown us compassion and patience. The facility was clean, organized, and well-run. Alayna, Flor and other nurses were lovely. The rehab team encouraged and helped him regain his strength. Staff always greeted him with kindness. Thank you to the entire team for helping him regain his confidence and independence. Your dedication made a difficult time so much easier for our family. I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone in need of quality skilled nursing and rehabilitation services.

My mom was here for a couple of weeks but it was such a pleasure to see how well she improved with therapy. The nurses she had were all kind and attentive and the Director of nursing was very involved along with the administrator. There was these two kind lady’s I believe it was Jenn in and Nina from morning shift who were happy to help mom with coffee and blankets. I highly recommend bringing family here for therapy. One time a nurse named Jane came in to ask mom some questions and asked if she needed anything. Momma felt so loved by her and every nurse.

There is a lot more staff here than the last nursing facility that my mom was at, which is nice. When I came into visit today, my mom informed me that maintenance had come in and removed the perfectly working tv from her room - actually we put our own batteries in the remote when she first got there because the staff wasn't brining any - gave it to the patient in the next room, and brought her in one that was smaller, messed up and darker picture. My mother doesn't understand what makes the neighbor more important than her. This is upsetting because my mom has actually struggled with self esteem issues my entire life. However, it wouldn't be fair to not include the fact that on her 2nd day there, the nurse to the time to go through her whole med list with me, wrote down meds that were missing from what she took at home, and called me the next day to let me know that the doctor approved all the meds that were missing.

Of the four different skilled nursing facilities we’ve experienced between my two parents, Arbor Hills has been the absolute best! In contrast to others, the goal there is to get patients stronger to go home. This was my mom’s second stay. She broke her ankle this time and Arbor Hills was our first and only choice to go to. The building and grounds are clean and pleasant. Every question or concern I voiced was addressed immediately. The staff is friendly, kind and helpful. The PT department, especially Stephanie, showed true care and encouragement for my depressed and not so thrilled with exercise mom. They are the reason that she is going home tomorrow! I was starting to believe that every skilled nursing facility was hell on earth. Seriously. It’s never a great situation when your loved one has to go, but Arbor Hills makes the best of it!

I don't know the caretakers name. He's a medium build 5'7" black guy with lighter colored dreads. The nicest and accommodating caretaker I've seen there. I personally thanked him for taking good care of my aunt who is there. The rest of the staff was nice too.

My mom was last here 2.5 years ago. She had a stroke and had to relearn how to walk and use her arms again. The therapists were great. The charge nurses, nurses, admin and auxiliary team were all kind. She’s here again since she fell and needs to regain her strength. It was so welcoming when my mom was greeted by so many familiar faces.

I visited my 90 year old mother-in-law who is recovering from a fracture today. The place was clean and everybody was so kind. There were birds singing in the lobby in their a glass display so the clients can watch and listen to them. Her Room seemed fresh and clean and my mother-in-law was so pleased with her standard of care. What a gift for our family to know she is taken care of day and night.

I visited with one of my best friends after his knee surgery as he needed to have some extra rehab after leaving UCSD Hospital. The only reason why they didn't get five stars is because the food isn't that good honestly. Flor, the charge nurse, is amazing! So is Kim, infection control, and Christina! They accommodated graciously any requests that we made. Diana at the front desk is such a welcoming person to check you in. Elizabeth was amazing and helped us doing PT down the hallway to make sure that we did everything right and that everyone was safe. Jessamae came in to do some ultrasound from Coastal Mobile and she was very sweet, too. Jesse was wonderful and Ashley was also great when we needed some Tylenol and a gown. They are professional, caring and responsive. Very nice staff!!!
