I have lived in one of the cottages for 4 years with my wife Pat. We lived on the East side most of our lives, and thought this might be a good place to start looking. Over the last 4 years, BHI purchased the facility, and it has been transformed into a first-class facility, like the other facilities they operate in the Midwest. The cottages perfectly meet the needs of both my wife and me. I ended up with a large workshop and office, and my wife ended up with a wonderful sunroom and a spare bedroom for her office. But even better, we have a very large yard behind our cottage that connects to a very large woods that brings many types of wildlife to our backyard. My wife, a master gardener, now has a wonderful garden for her vegetables and flowers each year. We have found the food service for the cottage residents is very good at a reasonable price. We have found some wonderful new friends here at Westminster. They are all at the same stage in life, and we have so much in common. My wife and I have visited the extended living facility and found it very clean, with beautiful wood trim and wonderful views from the windows. We hear nothing but wonderful reviews from those who have moved to these facilities. Lastly, the staff of Westminster is extremely kind, and the services we have received have been top-notch.

The staff is trying hard, but, like most of the residents here, the facility is aging and in need of repair. Charging high rates for accommodations means the accommodations should rate high as well. The areas need to be maintained, damaged areas need repairs, and dirty areas need to be cleaned. No one wants to keep their elderly relatives in a home that's not at least as nice as the one their infirmities forced them out of. No one can afford to be in a facility like this if they don't have the means.

It was a tough but necessary decision for my mom to be here in skilled care. We interviewed several places and chose Westminster. The staff and administrators are so kind and caring. This is a tough job at any level; we so appreciate the good care our mom receives here from the aides to the nurses to the administration.

I have lived at WVN over 10 years and have never regretted my decision. Residents and staff are friendly and helpful. All home maintenance is taken care of in a timely manner to my satisfaction. Social activities are plentiful and fun. I used WVN Healthcare last year and it was excellent. I can move to any area that I need through the years. I highly recommend WVN.

My wife, Connie, and I spent several months researching and visiting Retirement Communities in the Indianapolis area. Westminster Village North met all of our basic requirements for an active life style and potential health care needs in the future. WVN has exceeded all of our expectations with a beautiful apartment, new friends, lots of fun activities, lovely dining room and a friendly competent staff. We would recommend Westminster Village North to anyone who is looking for a "stress free" retirement life.

Visited my aunt. The facility is beautiful, clean and smells healthy. The hostesses are helpful and friendly. However find the nurses in one wing was not interested in attending to a resident in a wheelchair chair whose head was leaned back and appeared unconscious. I observed the resident at the early part of my visit and 2 hours later, the resident still had not moved. Head still back, still not conscious. The nurse station is clearly visible to the resident. None of the nurses seemed concerned even when I asked about the resident. After remaining in the same position, should be quite uncomfortable in the neck region.

WVN has a lovely campus. One can walk from the independent living apartments through the assisted living apartments to the health center. It's a nice walk inside. In bad weather you often see residents getting in their walks without having to brave the elements. All three areas have dedicated activity staff who do a wonderful job engaging the residents. WVN works hard to keep staffing where it should be - which is a challenge these days. Many staff members have worked at the Village for decades! As a non-profit, the Village is transparent about the budget and works hard to ensure the Village remains financially sound. These are just a few reasons seniors should consider WVN as their next home.

Westminster Village North is truly a "close-knit family" retirement community. With a full continuum of care, staff across all levels really get to know the residents and ensure the residents quality of life is the best every day. Fun and interesting activities and educational programs throughout all levels of care ensure socialization opportunities, which are so very important in ageing. I especially loved the First Day of Summer Luau party in the Health Center this week. The smiles on residents' faces as staff attempted the hoola hoop challenge were priceless! Great job HC Activities team!
