I worked there for a short while and residents are great. I was a driver and transported residents to medical appointments they were very appreaciative to get to and from their appointments. The leadership team is great to work with and they care so much about the residents and their employees.

What makes Westminster a great place to work is the culture. Our Health Care Center (the Arbour, today) led the way in changing what a skilled nursing facility should be thanks to what our current Executive Director (CB) brought to Westminster 15-20(?) years ago as Administrator. This is their home, and we treat it as such. We work for residents in their home, not patients. Not only do we respect the residents, but we also respect each other as associates which makes for a more enjoyable experience. I haven't been anywhere else the last couple of decades+ and have learned that Westminster is very special, incomparable to other Continuing Care Retirement Communities.

Throughout life, there are decisions that are good and those that are bad. The decision to move to Westminster can be counted as one of the best decisions we have ever made as a couple. We love the independence it affords us to focus on what we enjoy, make new friends, travel without worry, and live in luxury!! Life will not always be this free and fun. However, when the time comes to need more support, it will be there for us as a benefit of choosing life-care at Westminster. The community of care services are the best we have encountered. I have attended several Austin Symphony and Met Opera performances; enjoyed out of town day trips to historic sites around Austin, an over night trip to see whooping cranes. Shopping trips to Trader Joe's , Barton Creek Mall, Central Market, HEB and so many more fun trips on transportation provided by Westminster.

My mother-in-law lived in Westminster for ten years, and because of her positive experience and their care of her, we chose Westminster for our senior living. The food is delicious with an incredible variety in the three restaurants and a bar, and the entertainment and opportunities to engage in activities/events both here and in the community are numerous and outstanding.

My husband and I have lived at Westminster for four years and have thoroughly enjoyed it. We have met and become friends with many interesting residents who have amazing life stories to share. We are offered a plethora of activities, day and night, to keep us as occupied as we wish. The food is excellent; three different dining venues provide variety. But perhaps most of all, we value the peace of mind that comes with living here, especially as regards health care. We know that we will receive outstanding health care not only in independent living where we now are, but also in assisted living, skilled nursing or memory care in the event those levels of care become necessary.

Living at Westminster is a five-star experience. I feel safe and well taken care of. A multitude of activities are offered every day for me to participate in, and our activity director and staff come up with the most varied and interesting experiences. They are to be congratulated.

Spent two years visiting Senior living facilities in the area. Also had experience moving a parent from independent living to assisted living and to skilled nursing facilities. Wanted for myself a community with all three levels of care. Moved in almost a year ago, experience is better than I had hoped. Staff all friendly and helpful, food is varied, great and available all day to eat in any of the three dining areas or take (or be delivered) to your apartment. Residents are welcoming, take pains to be inclusive without being intrusive. There are many many activities, lectures, tours within and out of Austin, group activities, exercise equipment and classes - I have recommended Westminster to friends. My strong advice is to make this move sooner rather than later.

My husband and I moved into Westminster almost 2 years ago and have been patting ourselves on the back ever since for making such a wonderful decision. No more worries about cooking, paying utility bills, tending the lawn, paying property taxes, driving yourself to the dentist. The residents are friendly and fascinating. We've enjoyed meeting many of them and are impressed by the variety of their backgrounds and depth of their accomplishments. If you wake up and feel a bit "off," the clinic is there to help. We love using the in-house library, checking the daily bulletin for interesting programs on the in-house cable channel, and enjoying live music and lectures in the community hall. No pressure to participate, put plenty of tempting opportunities to engage in activities, excursions, and physical activities if you so choose.
