My Dads stay at Canterbury Woods was nothing less than Amazing!!! The staff was extremley kind and very helpful! Erica Gentile went above and beyond to make certain everything was going well! She was wonderful!

The building, resident’s rooms, theater and grounds are gorgeous. The dining room is equally as impressive. However it is greatly lacking in simple daily activities that keep residents mentally stimulated. No bingo, no Bills football games set-ups, no crafts, no cooking classes, no movie nights, and no activities at all on Sundays. The scrabble night and once a week poker & pinochle games were set up and are run and managed by the residents and there are no Canterbury employees involved with these activities. When residents asked for a weekly bingo night they were told if they want one they can do it themselves as management won’t provide employees to run it. There are no fun day trips offered except a weekly bus ride to Walmart & WEGMANS. There should be trips to museums, restaurants and the zoo for example. There are no dancing classes for seniors. As the most expensive senior living facility in Western New York, the activities are sorely lacking. The theater was built so non-residents can attend by buying tickets. Unfortunately, the residents must also pay to attend, therefore it’s sparsely used by the residents. The swimming pool is empty 90% of the time and there is no supervision by employees. You need to swim with a friend if you want to utilize the pool.

It's warm and welcoming and makes you feel right at home. The staff is friendly and always greets you with a smile the place is also beautiful and well kept and with every step you are bathed in the sweet serenity of nature. The pond is also magnificent especially in spring when all the flowers are blooming. This facility offers service like Independent living, assisted living and memory care for elder persons all while making them feel like they are in the comfort of their own home. The staff and residents are like one big extended family.

Need more night staff . I was private duty , they had one aide fussed at me for taking my client to the restroom who had to move her bowls she was rehab not a resident if that mattered . The man next door fell twice he was asked why we keep finding you on the floor

My Grandmother was at Canterbury Woods for years and my family was always more than impressed by the level of dedication the staff shows to every resident. Additionally their facility/community is always very well maintained and cleanly. When considering a loved one's care, Canterbury Woods exceeded expectations!

My grandpa moved into Canterbury woods right before the covid 19 pandemic and honestly it couldn’t have been better timing. My grandpa was able to stay safe and healthy and did not face the isolation most elderly people did. Not to mention they received the vaccines in their apartment as soon as they became available in western ny. We can’t thank Canterbury woods enough for all their hard work during these last two years

Greed over good care. Lovely facility but horrid management! Residents are banned again from the dining’s rooms, events, clubs and public spaces. Very convenient to charge them from room service and a limited menu while laying off your servers. Greed over good care. Everyone is vaccinated but trapped in their apartments. They need social contact and companionship. Thank goodness the public Senior Center is an outlet for those that can still drive. Others are carpooling out to dinner just for expensive conversations and company. SHAME ON YOU CANTERBURY

The community is incredible! I've never seen anything like it before. Everything is clean and nice. The food is great. It's a VERY ACTIVE community. The residents are happy and friendly. It's so exciting to see how happy the residents are, and how they care about each other. There are lots of great activities and programs there. So far I feel the staff is great, but what really makes the place special is the incredible warmness that radiates from those that live there. The attitude is contagious. Honestly, we had some troubles moving our friend in, but it was all due to unusual circumstances. The staff was very helpful and concerned as we worked through the problems.
