Hands down the best place for your mom,dad, aunt, uncle or friend. The kindness and compassion that they show is remarkable. What i mean by "they" is the staff...they aren't just staff, they make you feel like family and now they are a part of my family. Its takes very special people with special qualities to give that kind of care every single day. From the minute the process was started with Vee and Erica, I knew we were in the right place. Any question we had, Vee had the answer. If there was anything, I wasn't sure of she would send me in the right direction or get the information for me.Stefan is another name that comes to mind. Very kind to my mom. Assuring her he didn't forget her medication. Marcie who assured me she'd make sure my mom's laundry was done. But you see, this all stems from strong leadership, dedication and someone who genuinely cares. And that person is Vee. Simply the kindest person ever and runs this place like a boss!! My mom was living in a independent living facility prior to this. However after some time in the hospital and then rehab my mom now calls Gardens of Venice her home. As most people would, I visited a couple of facilities when it was time for my Mom to enter an ALF. After having done so, I knew immediately that Gardens of Venice was going to be her new home. It wasn’t the beautiful facility that drove my decision, it was the staff and management team. I have always been able to read people and I knew almost instantly that the staff and management weren’t just doing a job, they genuinely care for the residents. Thank you, David Schacht and Family

Well, today was moving day for my stepdad (92 years old). He's been through a lot since the holidays. It's been a trying time for both of us. Talk about a 180 in a short amount of time. He had been living in Sarasota (assisted living) for 2 years. After several falls, it was decided he needed to go to rehab before returning. I then decided to look for a facility in Venice, where I live. I looked at a few, all seemed very nice, but when I walked into Gardens of Venice, my husband and I both thought, this may be the place. After the first 13 seconds with the very sweet, knowledgeable Erica, we were convinced. She accommodated my very last minute request to come see her the day I called. She gave us an extensive tour. She answered every question. She made us feel so very welcome. We now were 100% sure this was where "Sonny" should be. We arrived around 10:00 am this morning. We were greeted by Ann, the very friendly receptionist. We then escorted Sonny to his room where Audrey (Supervisor of caregivers) and Donna (caregiver) met us. They spent a lot of time asking me questions, talking with my dad, just getting to know us and making us feel like we knew he was now in very good hands. We then all went to the dining room. My dad sat with his "new friends", my husband and I ate at a nearby table, and we all enjoyed a delicious lunch. And the "piece de resistance" was the dessert cart where we chose a pastry of our choice....yum! We then took a self guided tour of the beautiful facility and then back to the room. There we met Charlie (maintenance) who had been busy connecting Sonny's tv and assembling a new recliner chair I had purchased. Once again, an extremely friendly, caring employee. Speaking of furniture, this place has furnished rooms which totally met our needs. If you have some personal items you want to bring, that's fine, but not having to worry about moving furniture was perfect for us. I'm not done with my shoutouts yet. Marcy from housekeeping knew me before I even introduced myself. Yesterday when I saw her for the first time she said she was looking forward to meeting my dad. She let me know how the laundry system worked and cleaning of the rooms. It's just one friendly, smiling, pleasant, helpful person after another. Last but not least the Administrator Venissa. As we were getting ready to leave, we stopped by the front desk with a couple of questions. She promptly stepped out of her office to greet us and answer those questions. Again, just smiling, being so friendly which was just more reassurance we had made the right decision. I know it's only day 1 and people reading this may say, of course everyone's going to be friendly on day 1. Well, I'm pretty confident that on day 30, day 90, next year, I will feel the same. I just don't think people can go from that caring and friendly....to not. So with all this said, if you're in the need for independent or assisted living, I would "run" here, chat with Erica and enjoy the next phase of your life! The staff at the Gardens of Venice are amazing. Everyone is always very attentive and caring. The building is spotless and beautifully decorated. The administration goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome.

My mother recently went to the Gardens of Venice and loves it! It’s never easy for families to know how to navigate the transition to assisted living. The office staff and administrator were very helpful during the admissions process and provided the support we needed to feel comfortable with our decision. All of the direct care staff including the maintenance staff have treated my mother with great respect. The nurse practitioner on staff is fantastic. I’m grateful to know my mother is happy and well cared for at the Gardens of Venice.

My Husband and I are Incredibly Impressed at the Gardens of Venice Staff and All of The Absolutely Amazing "Bingo Residents" These Loving, Caring people saved $3000.00 by contributing a dollar here and there from their Bingo Winnings for only a year and then Graciously Donated it to Suncoast Charities for Children (a One of a Kind Fabulous Charity). So Amazing and Kind, Thank Heavens for Wonderful People at Gardens of Venice! My Father has been a resident there for many years ...They're all like Family and We couldn't be Happier 🙂

My Step Mom is staying here at the facility. I recently came in from out of state to visit. The staff is amazing and the facility is impeccable. I also learned I can stay at The Towers next door next time I visit. All the staff really looks out for the residents living there. A big shout out to Lucille, Vaneesa, Donna’s, Med Clerks and anyone else that works there. This is truly a place to call home and even visitors are made to feel like family!

I believe the best retirement community choice in Venice, FL. A family like environment, wonderful staff who check on Mom frequently, comfortable accommodations and great food. Mom feels at home here and our family is confident in her care.

My Grandfather he has been a resident now for just over three years. He has made a lot of new friends he enjoys all of the activities and the meals. He was in a facility previous to this one and was miserable. Since we placed him in this facility he has come out of his depression and is very happy and thankful. He loves all of the staff and residents there and feels as if he is finally home.
