Eastmont is a true community and a very friendly one. People care about each other and support each other in all kinds of ways. There are plenty of things to do -- or not do, if that's your preference. The surroundings are pleasant and well kept. We love it here.

We are very glad we made our move to Eastmont. It is a very active and comfortable place to live and it is reassuring that as we need more care, that care and support is already here. It is a kind and welcoming community that we are happy to be a part of.

Even though we were looking for an independent living space, the availability of continuing care for the future was one of the reasons we chose to make Eastmont our home. After living here for two years, we have come to appreciate Eastmont for all it has to offer. First of all, the staff, from Executive Director Andrew Fisher to all of the department heads and their workers...every single team member who works at Eastmont is the BEST! We are treated with dignity and respect from everyone. The activities and events are varied and numerous. There is something for everyone who is interested. The Friday social hour, exercise classes, book clubs, yoga, bridge groups, OLLI classes, road trips for dinner, bible study and gardening plots are just a few examples of what Eastmont residents can enjoy. We love our dining experiences here with the big variety of restaurants on campus. Just want to sit and be entertained? Join your Eastmont friends in the beautiful Performing Arts Center for a concert, a resident sin-along, silent movie with ragtime music, a speech, or, if we are lucky, Elvis might show up! We know we made the right choice when we chose Eastmont. We live in a clean, safe, friendly environment with lots of new friends, with plenty of activities and events to keep us happily occupied. Thank you, Eastmont!

My husband and I initially moved into a temporary apartment at Eastmont April 24, 2023 because our home sold quickly but our permanent apartment wasn’t finished yet so Eastmont provided a place for us until our apartment was complete. This actually worked out quite well except moving twice is not for the faint of heart. We did begin meeting new people such as staff and residents. We moved into out permanent residence on June 8,2023. with help of moving company and maintenance. I must say I didn’t downsize well. Living in a friendly, caring community is an added benefit to my independent living experience since my husband passed away December 20, 2023. I must reiterate that this Eastmont community has become both family and friends and this includes both staff and residents. There are numerous activities to chose from daily both within the confines of the grounds plus there are off campus activities. If an individual decides they want a quiet day to themselves that is doable. There has been remodeling being done throughout the buildings. Small apartments are being combined to make more desirable larger ones. A new dining area is being included in the remodel. We are waiting to see what this new area will be like. There is never a reason to go hungry. Meals are quite filling and you do chose from a menu. If you have any questions or concerns there is always someone to help you with information or an answer. Don't be bashful. I’ve been in my apartment now 2 years and I’m still not totally settled or unpacked but there is no hurry and someday I’ll be done. That’s the beauty, no hurry.

Eastmont is a welcoming vibrant community for senior independent living, assisted living, memory care, physical therapy, nursing care and hospice. The monthly calendar is filled with activities and opportunities to connect with others. Whether your thing is concerts in the Performing Arts Center, working out in the fitness center and pool, or just strolling on the beautiful outdoor terrace, you’ll find it here. Join the choir or book club, play board games and cards, meet your new friends in the Bistro for a hot fudge sundae or join them for dinner in the dining room. And know that when you travel you can just shut your door and walk away with everything taken care of. My recommendation: Don’t wait until you need to move. Consider how you could benefit by enjoying a simpler lifestyle in a supportive community at Eastmont.

I am ecstatic at age 76, we entered Eastmont 6 years ago before we needed to. We rated Eastmont then as 5-Stars. I expected my wife to be the first to benefit from Eastmont's expertise, as unlike her, I was and still am taking no medicine. WRONG. Due to Eastmont’s structure and programs, I grew younger as my health improved. Eastmont’s non-profit status means income over expenses is used to make continuous investment in improving its programs and physical structure. The current expansion is made possible by a partnership with Transforming Age, a larger and more diversified non-profit, beginning 3 years ago. We would now rate Eastmont at 6-Stars if we could. My wife loves to swim. The new swimming pool under construction will provide her with additional exercise, which could improve her health. Eastmont's management's goal is to met and hopefully exceed expectations. We will have a new state-of-the-art performing setting over 160 people that the public can use. That will increase our already long list of enjoying culture and social events, which fills our calendars. I am an introvert. I could how consider myself to be more of an extrovert as Eastmont’s residents and staff is a caring community like a large family. We "eat" out every day with a different set of friends in the dining area. Many of my friends, consider the food service to be equivalent to a 5-Star restaurant. The number and quality of food choices have increased after the pandemic as we have returned to dining together versus getting our lunches in clam shells. Below are previously written reviews, giving more details. Two years ago: Due to Eastmont's exercise equipment and physical programs, I was able to double my strength, as measured by the number of plates I could move on their Body Solid equipment. I was doing interval training before we moved. The high intensity intervals went from 20 sec to 60 sec with recovery between on Eastmont’s New Step Machines. My heart rate stayed below my doctor's recommended high. My flexibility increased from just touching my knees to touching my ankles, due to the 3 times a week group exercise. When I came, I was dragging my left toes while walking, which if it continued could have left me with a significant fall injury. When I got sloppy at Eastmont with my posture, Mark gave me special exercises to strengthen the proper muscles, and my posture improved. I was the first one of us to benefit, from Eastmont’s continuum of care as I was diagnosed with Stage One, aggressive prostate cancer. Low PSA levels with have stayed within the test's error range for 2 years indicate I was cured with Mayo Clinic’s trail of the 5 Photon Therapy treatments over a period of 15days. I have found that there are many cancer survivors at Eastmont that have lived at least a decade longer than they expected. Four years ago: We are second generation residents. Our parents lived a fantastic, long, happy and fulfilling lives. My mother lived in Eastmont for 43 years, and Mary's father was in independent living until 103 1/2 and joined in his sleep with the Lord at 104. We attended more cultural events in a month by just walking a short distance to the main lounge than we did in a year before moving into Eastmont. We plan to be in our beautiful apartment for decades. This is superb living without the chores of maintaining a home. Eastmont's community encourages you to stay active in programs that keep you in excellent mental and physical health. Residents have a voice in the management, which has allowed the services to adapt and improve with time.

I am so very grateful that my husband and I decided to move to Eastmont independent living. So many things that would be of concern in home-living do not exist here or are taken care of. My husband and I came to Eastmont thinking we might need to be more specifically taken care of in the future. Our premonition has come true and my husband is in Meadowview Care Center. We were here almost four years before he had to take advantage of the skilled care unit. The good news is that I can visit him any time without going outside in inclement weather. Whether I am with him or not, I know he is being will taken care of by the kindest caregivers. That is such a relief. I, too, have access to immediate care with a 3-digit phone call, pull cord, or voice call using Alexa. Eastmont encourages and enables us to stay fit with their exercise programs. It is challenging, also, to walk outside or inside by paths that equal a mile. It is interesting to notice how much friendship there is between staff and residents, which enhance our feeling of security. Resident friends really feel like family. We both love music and we can still enjoy together Eastmont's musical and other events inside Eastmont's complex. All in all, we could not have made a better decision than to make Eastmont our home. The key thing I want to add: it is important to make the decision to move before you have to, so that you can come in easily and have the strength and will to make and enjoy friends.

Moving to Eastmont in 2011 was one of the best decisions I have made in my lifetime. From the very first I experienced a welcoming and diverse community, making me feel like part of a larger family. When family or friends have asked me about my experience at Eastmont my first response is usually, 'I don't cook and I don't clean'. I can choose to eat at noon or evening each day, and there are always many choices on the menu which I find satisfying and healthy. A housekeeper comes to my apartment once every other week to clean, so maintaining my living space is very easy. Through the years I have enjoyed many interesting programs from outside speakers or performance groups. Our monthly calendar”Programs and Events-- never has a day without some kind of activity, and I always can make my own choice what I want to do. There have been a few occasions during my years at Eastmont when I have not felt well, and have been able to seek advice from an Eastmont nurse; it is comforting to know this help is always available if needed. To anyone considering a place for retirement, I would whole-heartedly recommend Eastmont.

I lived in the lovely town of Fremont and when I decided to move to Lincoln, I intended to purchase a Duplex or townhouse. I had to give up driving and felt sad asking friends for rides to activities. I decided to move to Eastmont and am very happy I did. I think I might have become a hermit if I hadn’t. I have met many fun and interesting new friends and I have found many previous friends that now live here too. I can go anywhere I want on the Eastmont van. I went back to Fremont for a funeral of a friend and was happy to say that I was going home when I returned to Eastmont. I am comforted to know that I will have lifetime care without having to apply or move to another facility. I enjoy the entertainment and exercise classes and I have a lovely large apartment with a cute bird feeder attached to my window looking out over a beautiful large tree. There are many varied activities going on at Eastmont. I enjoy the delicious meals where I often sit with different Eastmont friends.

EXPERIENCE DOES MATTER. That is demonstrably true in senior living because Eastmont has been a caring community for more than 50 years. Long-tenured staff serve in areas of health care, rehabilitation, food service, administration, building and grounds maintenance, and activities development Eastmont continues to provide a level of comfort and assurance to the residents of this vibrant and evolving community that knowledge and experience drive decisions and service. I find a sense of well-being in knowing that whatever my future years may bring, there is an area of care available which is staffed by people who have a successful background in their role. It provides a family-like atmosphere prompted by longevity and mutual trust.

Why did we choose Eastmont? The following were 3 of our top questions when we were making our decision: Could we really feel at home in an independent-living apartment at Eastmont? Could we build stimulating relationships with other residents? Would we have healthcare services available for our FUTURE needs, without making another major adjustment? We moved to Eastmont almost 2 years ago. The answer to all 3 questions is YES! We DO feel at home in our apartment, which was refurbished for US ~ to meet OUR needs & desires. We have plenty of living & dining space, one bedroom, a den, 2 baths, a full kitchen, our own laundry facilities, good storage & a garage. One delicious meal is provided each day, & our apartment is cleaned for us every other week. The staff is kind & helpful. We found the people to be very friendly & inclusive. We ate with many different people, & began to get to know their interesting stories. There were lots of elective activities provided: chapel, exercise classes, entertainment, choir, ~ until Covid became an issue! Now things are opening up again, & it is so good to be able to gather freely. During the pandemic, the medical staff handled the situation well. And vaccinations were given on campus when they became available. When we have needed assistance, we could call for medical help ~ & they were here in minutes! Situations which would have been a crisis in our own house have been cared for readily. Nursing staff is always available to people in independent living, as well as in the care centers. And excellent Physical Therapy is available on site. If we need more assistance in the future, Eastmont offers all levels of care: Assisted Living, Rehab, Long-term Care, & even Hospice care ~ without leaving the campus. We are glad we made the decision to move to Eastmont OURSELVES ~ BEFORE an emergency forced our decision, & while we were able to enjoy activities with new friends. We feel Eastmont deserves a 5 Star Rating for the services they provide ~ including Independent Living!

I wrote this 3 years ago and I still LOVE it here. Activities are fantastic. We had a classical grand piano recital last night as good as Lied's. Eastmont is a great place to live with guaranteed life time care available. It is a 501(c) non profit corporation. The staff is very friendly and the food is GREAT. Highly recommended. My. husband's mother lived here for 43 years and my dad lived here for several years until he died at 104.

My husband and I heard about Eastmont 20 years ago and 10 years ago we came on a tour. We decided that Eastmont was where we definitely wanted to go when we were ready. I moved in when my husband died, wish we hade come earlier. One of the reasons was their 5 star rating of their excellent nursing staff and physical therapy department. Since moving in I have met many friendly people and made several lasting friends. I've lived here over a year and am now in the rehabilitation area recovering from a bad fall off-site. Due to my excellent care I am recovering and will return to my Independent Living apartment very soon. It is so nice to be on the same campus and not have to move to different sites. I give all of Eastmont a high 5 stars

I’ve enjoyed the amazing opportunities and great activities at Eastmont! I was a 91-year-old widow when I moved into Eastmont’s Independent Living with many levels of care in the same location for as long as needed. The residents are friendly and I live independently in my own apartment. A number of incidents can show my feelings. I was on a long walk when two people, one on each side of me assisted me over rough terrain to enjoy the walk and bird watching. Another time that points out kindness and caring is when my newspaper was not brought in, my neighbor called to see if I was OK. I was not so he called the nurse who came quickly and cared for me. When I first moved in, I couldn’t get my car into the garage and it was cold and dark. One of the staff put my car into the garage for me. Once I was not able to get my bed made-up before housekeeping came and the cleaning lady put on clean sheets and made my bed for me without my even asking. I enjoyed the welcome breakfast with my neighbors on my floor. All this is done cheerfully with the desire to please. I feel cared for and all my needs are taken care of with the assurance that all requirements will be provided as needed. I understand that Eastmont is the only non-profit facility offering these levels of care all in one location. My 5 stars rating verifies the USA government's rating of 5 stars for Eastmont (Towers) on a personal level.

Eastmont staff are excellent in providing patient centered care. I have three personal friends that have had family members there. My friends husband went there for rehab after a heart attack. Another friend's mother was there after a hip replacement. My other friend's husband was dying. I recommended Eastmont to her. She took him there for End of Life Care. They all have no regrets for choosing Eastmont for their loved ones.

I recently received this review of her experience here at Eastmont Towers from Dr. Linda Sasser. Dr. Sasser was in Lincoln on Eastmont's behalf to present her program on Healthy Brain - Health Memory. "I had the pleasure of presenting my talk, "Healthy Brain, Healthy Memory" here last week, and stayed in a very comfortable guest suite. The community is lovely, and is conveniently located near restaurants and shopping! I was also impressed when I learned of the many activities and outings that are available for residents- so good for brain health!" Dr. Linda Sasser, National Brain & Memory Health Expert Thanks for your kind words Dr. Sasser! We hope to have you back in the future for more of your healthy and helpful tips!
