The staff is wonderful! The management personnel are always so friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, all with their own balcony. You can arrange for PT and OT on site. There are many activities throughout the week and occasional outings during the month. The dining option specials are only so-so, but breakfast, sandwiches, and salads are very good. Urbana built me up from the ground to the point I could move independently out of state. I could go on and on about all the positives. My sons found Urbana for me and I'm so glad they did.

My parents have lived at Urbana Senior Living for about 4-5 years now and we have been very happy here! We have seen Urbana make many changes over the years to improve care, food, response times and the wellbeing of residents. If there is ever a concern, we bring it up to leadership right away and it is handled. The community has truly been amazing and Shelly Tennessen (marketing) and Corie (activities director) have both been cornerstones of the community since day one. They provide steady, trustworthy leadership at Urbana, along with bringing the FUN and light to all residents! When it comes to changing care plans, if there is a health event, the nursing and staff has been able to accommodate cares - even if it is literally overnight. This has given us a lot of peace of mind as a family The more I hear about assisted living experiences at other communities, the more grateful I am for our experience and care at Urbana! The caregivers and team really care about their residents and work hard to make sure everyone feels at home. We love it here!

The move to Urbana was good for Mom and family. At age 91 Mom broke her hip and we knew she could not live by herself alone at home where she resided for more than 60 years. We started looking for a nursing home and got direction from 2 families that have their Mom at Urbana . We set up a meeting with Shelly (marketing) and were impressed with the building, staff and the apartment in assisted living that overlooked the patio. 18 months have gone by and now the alzheimer's disease was really kicking in. After falling 2 times, breaking her wrist and arm, staff, doctors and family made the decision to move her to memory care. She now gets the extended care she needs from staff and has made friends ("gal pals"). It's a good feeling knowing she is being well cared for. Urbana staff has been incredibly helpful and supportive as I made the difficult decision to move my mom from assisted living to memory care. This can be such a hard transition and decision to make for families. Urbana staff were there along the way to answer questions and support my mom and I as we considered and made the decision to make this move. Every part of the team and staff at Urbana helped to support and make this decision easier and the transition go smoothly. All the way from new executive director Amy in her first week helping to make things possible, to the kindness of Assistant nursing director Tayva and Nurse manager Maureen answering questions and making a plan to support my mom in thriving and happy, to the marketing director Shelly who has always been lovely in answering questions and helping residents to feel comfortable in their new place, to the cleaning staff and other nursing staff showing excitement in caring for my mom in her new apartment in memory care. The compassion and care is evident on every level. I am so thankful to have such a great place my mom can call home; and the peace of mind knowing she is well cared for. Our family was searching for an assisted living facility for my mom, who is in the middle stages of Alzheimer's Disease. After doing a ton of research, Urbana Place became one of our top choices. Last year, I reached out to Shelly, Director of Marketing, to schedule a tour. Shelly was very caring and friendly, and very informative. She took the time to listen to our story and shared valuable insights from her own experience, which provided comfort during this very difficult decision-making process. The facility itself went above our expectations. The apartment options were great, and the range of services they offered was exactly what we were looking for. After visiting other facilities and considering the timing and options for my mom's move, we ultimately returned to Urbana Place. When we decided it was time, they had the ideal apartment available, and Shelly made the transition seamless and stress-free. Throughout the entire process, Shelly was outstanding - responding promptly to every email and call and addressing all my questions with patience and care. She really went above and beyond. Since moving in, my mom has had a positive experience. The staff and residents have been very welcoming and supportive, helping her adjust and feel comfortable with this significant change. The variety of daily activities has been wonderful for my mom, who enjoys staying active and engaged with others. Overall, our experience with Urbana Place has been only positive. We are confident and hopeful that this will continue to be the best fit for my mom as she settles in and moves forward.

This facility is for profit, and operates as such. I paid 7,500/Month for advanced care for my mostly bed ridden mother. Found that staff members would use her tablet for their personal use. Would leave her in soiled diapers for hours. Even though cleaning was "Provided" at her level of care, I still had to hire a private cleaner so her place wasn't completely disgusting. If you look into the negative reviews directly from google you will find this was not an isolated incident. There are lawsuits against Urbana for the lack of care they provide. Do not let your loved one live here if they are not independent.

After previous facility closed assisted living services, we had to find a new place rather quickly. So grateful that we found Urbana Place! Management team made the relocation and admission process so easy, they are so wonderful. Residents and staff at Urbana are so friendly and always helpful. The building is so clean and well maintained. Medical/nursing team is very attentive and really listens to residents health concerns. The food is great, the culinary team is always willing to provide alternative options for meals, and food is tasty and served hot. So happy we chose Urbana, even recommended to two other people who have since moved to Urbana. Will continue to recommend to others!

There is a wide variety of activities to keep residents busy and an impressive dining menu. I came here with a certain expectation. The time that I have been here the staff has exceeded my expectations. My daughter was my go to person and she talked with the staff about moving me in and tne process was seamless.. We were able to move fast coming from the community (transitional care). Urbana Place is convenient as I live in this community. The staff has kept me informed on my care needs and Lifespark therapies have been pivotal a part of me getting stronger. The apartment that I am in is fabulous and roomie. Other residents have been welcoming and invited me to sit with them at meals. I would recommend this welcoming community to anyone looking for Assisted Living services.

After nearly a year with my father residing at Urbana Place, we have reflected back over the last 12 months and continue to be impressed with the insights, guidance and advice given to us from the beginning from the Marketing Director and rest of the staff at Urbana! They have been instrumental from the get go at setting expectations around how big of a move this was for my father who moved from another state and have been there to support us through the entire process. From being clear and consistent with the financials, challenges of moving an 89 year old, what to expect and being there for us every day as a family working through largely unfamiliar territory. The services and care plans they have developed and continue to maintain and improve have helped us all navigate the many challenges involved with the high level of care for an aging parent. The advice given to us from the very beginning meeting with them has been invaluable whether it was dealing with the all-important costs of senior care, stages that our loved one would go through, things to expect (and not to expect). We really have appreciated the knowledge, honesty, and commitment shown by the awesome staff. It has been refreshing to get a realistic view from them on how things would look and things to think about from the beginning. We have really enjoyed getting to know each of them individually and look forward continuing to work with them through the ongoing stages of care. Thanks Urbana staff!!

We had to make the hard decision to move my dad from his home into a senior living facility last year. When I say we toured 10+ places, I'm not joking. Leaving each place left me with a feeling of discomfort.. that is until I toured Urbana. The staff, residents, and family members of residents truly make it feel like a home, not just a place to live. The community is very active, and involved with each other. I feel the staff truly know my dad and want what's best for him. Any problems we have had have been immediately addressed and rectified. The activities director takes everyone's input into consideration on planning events. The Chaplin takes time to check on the residents spiritual and mental health. And the list goes on and on. If you're having to make the hard decision of moving your loved one to an assisted living place, you'll find your home in urbana.

One of the most difficult decisions I've ever had to make was moving my loved one from her home to a memory care community. I wanted for her a place where she would be cared for and accepted for the person she is, not the person her disease has made her. I wanted a place where she would be safe and where she could enjoy her days despite her limitations. I was one of the lucky ones who found all of that and so much more at Urbana Place. I cannot recommend Urbana Place highly enough. The staff is wonderful and caring. The meals are delicious. The community is warm and welcoming. And there is always something fun going on. As you search for Assisted Living or Memory Care options for your loved one please include Urbana Place in your search.

My Mom was in Memory Care at Urbana. I can't say enough good things. The rooms are private and beautiful. We went to see her often and her hair had been done and clothes changed. My Mom loved make up and jewelry. Often when we went they had done her makeup. They even bought sticker earrings for her so she could always be "fancy"- she loved it. We really believe the staff cared about her, just as we cared about them! Always so friendly! My Mom passed this year and their loving care will always be appreciated by our family.

Really pleased with the beautiful facility and the community of caring staff and residents. The Assisted Living apartments are large and filled with light. After living on her own for 25 years, my mom did not want to move. After a couple of weeks at Urbana Place she kept commenting on how nice her place was and how bright and cheery. The residents are amazing and are truly an extended family looking out for each other and helping new residents participate in the many activities that take place each week. Urbana Place was a good move for my mom.
