The Pinehurst is one of the best senior communities I have toured and have had the pleasure of locating my mother to. I have had nothing but support from the staff at the Pinehurst. The amenities offered out pace any community I have toured. Salt water pool, movie theater, restaurants, bars, libraries, activities, transportation, as well as a fabulous setting in Colorado! Whether you need independent, assisted, or memory care it is all here and the staff is great! There are fireplaces all over, outdoor areas, and fantastic events to speakers to dancers! I know my mom is safe, sound, and cared for!

We’re so grateful for the care our grandfather receives here. The staff is kind, attentive, and truly makes him feel at home. The community is welcoming, clean, and full of great activities. My grandfather loves to go to the work out classes (sometimes multiple a day- he’s in his late 90s). He also favors the hot tub! We’ve also attended many great parties for holidays and birthdays at the Ridge. The food is always delish! It gives our family real peace of mind knowing he’s happy and well cared for. Highly recommend!

Our experience at The Ridge of Pinehurst has been nothing short of exceptional! My parents moved into Independent Living about 2 years ago and have just moved to the Assisted Living neighborhood. They have been treated as family from the concierge to maintenance staff to sales to guest relations. Special thank yous go out to Austin ( Sales ) , Jessica Balerio ( Move-in Coordinator ) and Steven Hathaway ( Resident Experience Director) for their quick, caring, and professional responses and work ethics! We are lucky to have my parents n such a postive environment.

Sept. 5, 2025 My husband and I could not have been more pleased with our "tour guide" Genevieve and with the entire experience. While we were originally just continuing our research about a possible move (if and when) to a Senior Living development, we were so impressed with everything we saw and heard that now The Ridge Pinehurst is the only one being considered. Because of Genevieve and her informative positive input, we have now gone from the thought pattern of "we'll only make this move when we HAVE to" to the discussion of "why not while we are still healthy and can enjoy the amenities." We are now looking at a time frame of summer 2027 instead of years down the road to make the move. Since we lived in BowMar and belonged to Pinehurst CC for many years. it would be like coming full circle to us!

The Ridge at Pinehurst was the best senior community we saw while in Denver. This is a beautiful property. I was looking for a retierment community for my Uncle that had independent living as well as Assisted Living so when the time came to move to Assisted Living we would be able to stay at The Ridge . The staff is wonderful! Austin, Steven and Jessica have all made the move in process very smooth. The residents are very welcoming and they have so many activities for the residents to participate in. I am looking forward to watching my Uncle thrive in this great retirement resort!

We had holiday lunch here today, and it was delicious. The buffet included the classics (prime rib, potatoes) and more. Salmon, squash, beautiful green beans, pilaf. There is something for everyone: ominivores, pescitarians, vegetarians. I would not be surprised if they accommodated vegan diets. The most remarkable thing was the interesting variety of food. Arancini. Decadent phyllo with goat cheese and honey. A perfect fruit pie (was it strawberry? Mixed berries? I don't care. It was yummy). Cupcakes just the right size. The staff was so welcoming and helpful, filling glasses and removing empty plates. And just saying "hi" to everyone. While I lead with the food, I am thoroughly impressed with this place. It's beautifully appointed, and they treat residents like people (rather than patients or residents). Thank you for a really nice celebration!

Other than real problems with take out which is on-going, everything else is satisfactory. We are very comfortable here overall. Re; dining which is a staff issue and may be better for a few times, then very frustrating at least twice a week with losing orders, and missing items, giving our order to someone else, etc. If we weren’t paying $900 monthly for this service, we wouldn’t be using it nightly. Staff members (particularly dining services managers) are often either non-responsive or rude to the residents, seldom respond or correct clearly at fault incidences. Reservation times appear available either very early or late enough that wait staff is cleaning up to go home 30 minutes before the restaurant is suppose to quit serving. The menu rarely changes. Breakfasts vary in the way they're prepared. The same items ordered daily are often inconsistent. Communication skills throughout staff are often lacking. Costs are on the higher end and continue to rise.

My mom has lived at the Ridge for a couple years now, first in assisted living and now in memory care. When I began my search to help my mom find the perfect retirement community, I looked at every high end facility within a 45 minute radius. The Ridge was the clear choice in terms of amenities, food, and apartment options. Occasionally there are issues and concerns to address, which can be difficult with an elderly parent. However, I have been incredibly impressed with how the Ridge has responded to any challenges we have faced. In particular, I have found Katrissa Gates and Lori Closs to be beyond amazing. They are accessible, approachable, supportive, and work diligently to address concerns and provide solutions. They also follow-up afterwards to make sure everything is working out as expected. I am beyond grateful that I found the Ridge and that my mom is in good hands.

My experience with The Ridge Pinehurst has been nothing short of amazing. As a Home Health company, The Ridge is exactly the type of partner we look for: honest, patient care focused, and transparent. Specifically within the team, Steven/Lori/Katrissa go above and beyond for the residents ensuring they receive quality care. Walking around the community seeing smiling faces and high community interaction, I can attest to the fantastic environment the Ridge team upholds. Without a doubt, I would recommend this community to any and all looking for a 5 star senior community. Kudos!

Great looking facility. HOWEVER, there are multiple issues to consider. The food is mostly bland and mostly reheated and out of a box. Food service is painfully slow; dinner is a 90 min commitment. If this were a restaurant, it would be out of business LONG ago. Keep in mind. The food package isn’t optional”it’s use it or lose it so it’s a big profit column for ownership. The bigger fish is the dubious electricity and power situation. Mom in laws unit regularly loses power and she frequently wakes to no lights and so on. Techs must be regularly dispatched to restore power and they complain about how poorly wired the building is. It’s a mess. Overall the facility is quiet and clean and staff are pleasant. However for the fees they charge (you’ll need to take a knee when you learn the lease rate), the food should be great (they charge full rate prices that are applied to your balance) and the power shouldn’t be hit or miss, but it is.

My mom moved into the Ridge (Summit) independent living about 2 months ago. We have been very pleased with her experiences so far. First and foremost, the staff and residents are all extremely friendly and everyone was so helpful in the early days while she was trying to figure everything out. Many went out of their way to introduce themselves to her and make sure she knew how things work. You don’t pass anyone (staff or resident) in the hall without a greeting. The Ridge is family friendly. Families are encouraged to visit and participate and the young great grandchildren are always welcomed. My mom enjoys the grounds and the space to walk around, and the variety of activities which appeal to varied interests. She especially likes the expansive gym and the opportunities to resume her exercise. The Ridge is also close to lots of shopping and it’s been easy to address her shopping needs. I would highly recommend the Ridge as a vibrant senior living community.

9/21/22- (Followup) After a meeting with the community leadership I was impacted by the fact that my experience was not denied. I was heard, I was listened to and they admitted some things had fallen through the cracks. We addressed communication. The Ridge discussed closing the loop in communication. Regarding Medications: they are working to solve the problems so there is better distribution and time management, thus eliminating waking residents up while they sleep. Creating a Shower Book or a way of communicating between hospice and clinical teams. The formation of focus groups including members of Assisted Living to give feedback from that group including food issues. I will say that upon leaving the review I was called by Diane and asked to meet despite the fact my dad has already moved. In addition, Katrissa really does care about the residents and she in hands on. I saw her humanity, transparency and concern for all residents. I was very appreciative and hopeful of our conversation and I pray these new changes will integrate The Ridge at Pinehurst into what they intend and advertise. The Ridge is NOT a place for your loved one who needs care. The assisted living they tout is just awful. It may work for independent living but not for any kind of consistent assistance. From the pictures and the appearance the building is beautiful but that's where it ends regarding assisted living. My dad moved last year into the Ridge in early June. It was fairly ok till about October of 2021. I had 1 incident in August 2021 then in October things got difficult and stressful for me as his medical POA. Following are some of my complaints: 1. He was hospitalized in August of 2021 after having a TIA but not before I called 911, not the Ridge. Turns out after the Ridge checked on him and told him to let them know if he was not feeling better that Paramedics came. His BP was 190/102. Oxygen 90 was in Afib and was taken to the hospital where he spent 3 days. 2. In communicating with Katrissa and/or Kendra via email they would say they would send someone to help my dad and call me. Nothing. Numerous times I ended my email with "please help," "I don't know what to do." "Can you help me please?' No response. 3. The Ridge failed with administration of meds. (Most serious) Either there was a lapse in time, the channels they had to go though or any number of reasons. THEY ARE TOO BIG!! Several times they NEVER administered meds, and/or they had to wake my dad up at 10pm! 4. Work orders for every little thing. 10 days he was without a TV. 5. The housekeeping got worse and worse. The bed was never made, trash was 3 days or more days old. I had to clean up several accidents my dad had because it was hours or never before they could send anyone and I had to hire an outside person to clean his apartment! 6. Food was often cold, breakfast especially when he had eggs. He'd send them back and they would reheat and it was inedible. 7. At one point he hadn't had a shower for a week and after numerous calls and promises he finally got one the following week. 7. My last email was in March 2022. I addressed the Executive Director Katrissa and the Assisted Living Director Kendra addressing several more issues and went completely unanswered. 8. Communication was so stressful. Questions went unanswered or ignored and I didn't realize how much stress his stay at the Ridge was for ME until I moved him in May 2022. So far his care is excellent. I simply don't have the issues I had at the Ridge. 9. In closing I will say that I understand there have been staffing issues due to Covid, however that hasn't been the case at his current place. I would get recommendations from the family members who have positive reviews. I have chronicled all my interactions and emails to validate the egregious actions in care by The Ridge. Really do your homework. I wish I had.

My father moved into The Ridge in April, 2021 and he could not be happier. He is 80 and was reluctant to move into a retirement community thinking it would be an "old folks" home. It is far from that! The Ridge is a vibrant community where the residents are active, many are younger than him, all are very friendly and welcoming, there are plenty of activities and the facilities are amazing. The Ridge is almost like staying in a nice Hilton - incredible spa and pool, fitness room with state of the art equipment, a movie theater, fun lobby bar, and a soon to open pub just to mention the highlights. His apartment is the perfect size and he is very comfortable and content, yet can easily socialize whenever he wants. We also feel that the pricing is very reasonable. The staff at The Ridge are outstanding too - warm and friendly, professional, and not only do they know every resident's name, they always take the time to stop and chat with the resident and family/guests. Most importantly, my Dad is just so happy at The Ridge and that seems to be the common theme with all the residents there. We HIGHLY recommend The Ridge! Chris K.

I am so pleased with the decision to move my father to The Ridge Pinehurst. The decision was made easy by the support from Kelly and Elizabeth. The move was made easy by Anita. I have high confidence in the care my father is receiving from my interactions with Kendra and the care givers, Brittany and Destiny. Each interaction with the staff tells me that they know what they are doing and exceptional, caring, professional service is their goal. The facility speaks for itself - beautiful and comfortable - and moving to The Ridge has enabled my father to be more involved in activities. My father says that if he needs help with anything, he gets it. He really likes the food, too. He has only positive things to say about the facility and the people and he is so glad he moved there. I highly recommend The Ridge Pinehurst.

I could not be more impressed with The Ridge at Pinehurst! It has the feel of a vibrant resort community. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff shine even more than the beautiful facilities. Anita was so good humored and gracious when our Mom's move-in extended late into the night. Little things done with great care are making such a difference to make Mom feel special. The staff at The Ridge go all out to foster a sense of community and belonging. They have also done a great job at keeping our family informed, and feeling a part of her new community. Jackie, Anita, Elizabeth and Kendra, among others, represent your team beautifully. I had a lot of anxiety about moving my father into senior living. It was incredibly important to me that his residence didn’t feel institutional. I wanted to preserve his independence and dignity. I had all but lost hope when I found The Ridge at Pinehurst. From the moment I set foot inside the building my gut told me this was the place my dad would succeed and feel at home in. Everyone who I have shown the community to has said, I’d love to live here someday, this place is amazing! They go above and beyond and have exceeded my very high expectations. They communicate wonderfully with me as my dad’s primary caregiver and continue to set my mind at ease. This is like no other senior residence community I’ve ever seen. My dad is doing fantastically well here.

My mom was the first resident to move in to the assisted living at The Ridge. The Ridge is absolutely incredible. The physical facility is gorgeous and well planned with absolutely no institutional’ feeling....it feels for like a luxury resort. But what really makes the Ridge a spectacular place is the wonderful staff. Starting with Jackie who gave us our first tour and let Mom pick out her apartment. Jackie took a lot of time showing us around and explaining the benefits of the Ridge and even served us lunch...which was delicious! The concierge at the front desk already knows our family and are always extremely friendly, kind and helpful. Anita, the move in coordinator, stayed way after her shift to make sure Mom’s move went smoothly...even spending 2+hours on the phone with tech support to get Mom’s phone connect. She also made sure that we all had dinner as we moved Mom in...again, great food! The care staff is fantastic...it is very evidently that this is not just a job for them...they really care about Mom and want her to thrive. Elizabeth and Kendra have been great about keeping me informed about Mom’s care and adjustment. They even sent an email to let me know that Mom slept well her first night. They have been wonderful about setting up Zoom calls for family who lives out of state. Making the decision to move a loved one to assisted living is never easy, but I can’t say enough about everything that the staff at The Ridge did to make the process as pleasant and smooth as possible and I am so grateful to them. I am truly at peace having Mom in such a great place with a caring and professional staff. Thank you so very much

From the first conversation my sisters and I had with The Ridge before our mom moved in, I was very impressed with their professionalism and the love and compassion they have for their residents. They make such an effort to get to know the residents. Within the first week of my mom moving in, they had surprised her with Snickers ice cream, which is her favorite! They also quickly figured out that she likes her coffee super hot and deliver her a fresh cup several times a day! The staff has also set up Zoom calls for me to see and talk to my mom as I live in Boston and am currently unable to fly. That has been very special for me and my family! My mom's birthday is in a couple of days and The Ridge staff has planned a birthday party for her with the other new residents at The Ridge. I know my mom is being loved and well cared for in her new home. Thank you Ridge Staff for making the transition so smooth for my mom.

I toured this senior community with Jackie Hawkins and was really impressed! The rooms have a great layout, the amenities have a luxurious feel and the staff were very welcoming!

  • Schedule a tour and visit the physical location to make sure community description is accurate.
  • Confirm with community manager that living and services required for you or your loved one's unique needs and budget are met.
  • Check with state government websites for additional provider licensing and information.

If there is any information that is inaccurate or needs to be updated, please contact Assisted Living Center.

Assisted Living Center uses the term "assisted living" or "personal care" to inform users that a community provides assistance with some Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). It may not meet your state's legal definition required for that level of care.
