As a worker I don't think they have plenty of parking spot making some of them park in the mall which the risk of the car being towed is higher now I don't work in neither company so I can write this review without any problems haha

We have lived at Querencia for almost 3.5 years and know that moving here was a good decision for us. Here are some of the factors that make us confident. Interesting and welcoming community. We felt instantly at home. Well - conceived and well-maintained facility. The fitness center and pool are great. Offers a wide variety of activities and we participate in several. A great staff across the board. Finally, we know several couples where one of them had to move to assisted living or memory care. It is a difficult time but what a blessing to be close at hand and to know that your loved one is well cared for. Ann & Gary

My wife and I moved into Querencia 2/1/2 years ago. It was one of tha best decisions we have made. The facilities and staff are first class. The activities cover a wide range of interests. But the unexpected bonus are the residents. Bright, well educated and welcoming. We have recommended Querenencia to several friends. W

My mom has been in their skilled nursing for 2 weeks. The care has been exceptional and my mom enjoyed all the meals. Aside from missing her apartment in her assisted living, she would not object to staying if she could. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the bed and chair in her room were very uncomfortable.

My mother just spent a month at skilled nursing rehab where she recovered from hip replacement surgery. First of all, I have been in many many skilled nursing facilities and I can say without a doubt that Querencia is the best by far. The facility is lovely and the staff members who took care of my mother were professional and kind. Michael (PT) and Marissa (OT) worked with my mother every day to increase her strength and endurance. They are both lovely people. The nursing staff and aides were so patient and helpful. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly and capable. I would highly recommend Querencia for their excellent rehabilitation services.

Was inpatient for rehab of an infected knee. The Occupational and Physical therapy departments are excellent. They arrived promptly every morning, taking me to the specialized rooms to get me walking as far as I could.

If you want long term security for yourself or loved ones, Querencia is a great home. It's location is great, in the hill country with rolling hills and yet close to essential services. The management is top notch. They have made proper decisions during the Covid 19 crisis, keeping in mind residents concerns and expectations. My wife and I live here and we never regret our decision to join the Querencia community.

Birnie & I have lived in Querencia for almost 6 years. We moved to Austin from North Carolina and visited all the CCRCs in the area and also a few assisted living places in Austin. None of them compare to the services that are provided here. From independent living, assisted living and memory care Querencia excels in the services offered. The "Q" as we call it, is a 5 star!!

We have lived here about a year and three months. I will briefly describe before and after the advent of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Before the Pandemic we were a hopping bunch. There were guest speakers, entertainment groups, weekly happy hours, organized trips to local venues, and special events of all kinds. We celebrated all the big holidays, had organized exercise classes which were well attended. We were surprised at how easy it was to meet people and make friends here. Different people are always asking you to join them for dinner. Happy hours were always good for meeting new people. Even the gym and pool are good meetinng places. We felt at home and had formed good friendships in almost no time. The Pandemic has changed a lot of that. We have always appreciated our staff and "team" members here, but the Pandemic has brought us an even greater appreciation. The effectiveness of their concern for our safety is in the numbers: No cases among the independent living population and, I believe, less than five among the memory care, assisted living, skilled nursing, or rehab community. Our dining rooms are open again. All of us have received our Covid vaccinations, and we are gradually working our way back to normal. Normal is better, but the staff cares and, whatever the situation they will be creative in keeping us safe and happy.

My wife and I moved to Querencia in 2010. She had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease and we knew what the future held. We chose Querencia for the location and it's reputation as a premier CCRC. Our kids live in Central Austin so Querencia made perfect sense to us. We immediately recognized that living here was like being on a cruise. One of our couple friends from Lakeway are Charter Residents so we knew what to expect. Additionally, two other couple friends from Lakeway moved to the Q several months before us so we knew several folks before we moved in. We immediately made new friends in the Villas where we live and in the rest of the community. The social and physical activities are well organized and fun. My wife moved to Memory Support two and a half years ago and the staff in the Plaza was exceptionally caring for her needs. She enjoyed her time in MS because the activities are geared for people with dementia. I have attended the Spousal Support Group for about ten years. The empathy and understanding by fellow residents that are dealing with similar situations helped immensely with my own caregiver duties. Food is always an issue when you gather 200 different opinions as to quality and quantity. In our case, we have enjoyed all the variety and tasty selections that have been offered in both The Limestone Grill and the Mesquite Dining Room. Another attribute of Querencia is the diverse backgrounds and experiences that defines our residents. You will be hard pressed to encounter a more interesting and friendly group of people. I have served on the Resident Council for three terms, two as Chair, and I can testify that the management of Querencia is exceptional and that Lifespace management has proven to be totally invested in outstanding service to the residents. The last year with COVID-19 challenges and the recent winter Deep Freeze event have proven that our Querencia management and team members are dedicated to our safety and comfort. Plus, in January, we were one of the first communities in Texas to get fully vaccinated. If you're looking for a community to retire or your looking for a place for your parents to live, you will not do better than to check out Querencia at Barton Creek.

If you want your parents to have terrible food, the management to make your parents feel like they are always wrong because Querencia could never be wrong, and a place where you are forced to use only their vendors, then this is the place. 3 years ago, both my parents moved in there after living in Barton Creek for 20 years. They were in the assisted living side up in the recovery unit. My dad never made it back home and passed a few months later. My mom ended up moving down into assisted living. She made some friends, but they all moved because of the terrible care. She didn't like change and was totally with it mentally. She even knew she was getting the wrong medications but "Q" never would admit. Her Dr, who called her every day and visited every Sunday said it was the worst run facility he'd ever seen. The only good thing about it was 3-4 nurses that took care of my mom and one driver. When she was driving, they would adjust her mirrors, put things up and down and my mom couldn't figure out how to undo it in her car. She'd literally had to go to the dealership to get help. Most drivers, except 1 blamed her for being mad or when they were late told her it was her fault. I went to eat with her once. It was supposed to be steak. LOL, it was ham and they promised it was steak. I threw up when I got home. My mom wasn't the easiest to get along with but when you tell her everything is her fault, and she is wrong all the time, she isn't going to be nice. She got sick of it. We tried to get her to move where her friends moved but she hated change so we were never able to. Use their mover, use their hospice. That review is next. During COVID-19, the Halcyon hospice was terrible. My sister and I were there one day and one of their caregivers (sitters) wasn't wearing a mask. Then she said her uncle died of COVID that day and had to leave. Halcyon said she'd never be back but who cares. No Querencia people told her to wear one. She said she thought because she didn't show a positive test and my mom didn't have one, that she didn't think she needed one on while in her room. What about my sister and I that were told to wear masks and gloves when we go in? We did. And last but not least, the worst communication. My sister left crying one day. The "Big Chingon " (my moms name for the head of the facility) saw her and asked what was wrong. She explained the situation and said he'd call her back after dealing with it. Guess what, never got a call and it was never dealt with. A great place to send someone to die...if that's what you're looking for but only a few of the nurses actually care about people and we will miss those sweet ladies. So many more stories but I think you can see it's not good. Even staff said to move her to another place because the new ownership was terrible and other places had better care and better food. That pretty much sums it up. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing there.

The accommodations are excellent, but the dining offerings leave a lot to be desired. Small portions, entree servings with little or no mean/protein, cramped dining quarters, VERY noisy. Management should imagine they are serving their parents or grandparents and act accordingly.

It has been great but in the past year or so the ladies conducting the senior activities changed and they aren't as enthusiastic. My mother can sometimes exaggerate but she told me a nurse named gema barrento was very cruel with her, so beware. If I hear this again when I visit I will make another formal complaint. Besides that everything has been smooth
