Run, Run, away as fast as you can! My Aunt has been in Independent Living for over 2 years. When she first moved in things were not perfect but it was brand new and staff promised to address and fix the problems. Don't believe a word the Administration says. What a joke. I call [name removed], Executive Director, [name removed], Director of Guest Services, and [name removed], Resident Engagement Director, the 3 Stooges. [name removed] can not do anything or make a decision without [name removed]. I once had a meeting with [name removed] and all of of sudden [name removed] walked in to our private meeting, sat down and started to give her two cents on an issue she had no right to be involved in. I asked her to leave which was not well received but she did finally leave. [name removed] can't give you any information without checking with corporate first. He is not timely in getting back with answers. It is now January 2025 and the facility has been sold to new owners. Big mistake to keep the original executives. They have not kept any of their promises to address residents. Their mantra is "we are working on it" and "we are short staffed" There is no 24 hour security since day one. The senior staff is out the door at 5 pm and so is maintenance. Good luck if you have a problem on a weekend. The concierges are out by 8pm. Try getting into the building after 8pm if your loved one doesn't have their fob or you want to visit. You can ring the doorbell till your finger turns blue. Nursing on the 2nd floor is responsible for answering the door. We waited over 1/2 hour for someone to let us in. Shameful. Now with new owners and same old useless administrators, conditions have gotten worse. Hair in people's food from kitchen staff has finally been addressed. Resident's have to wait up to 45 minutes to get their dinner because there is no wait staff. If you complain [name removed] will tell you they are understaffed and she and her team have been working on it ever since M.H. opened. 3 years and the problem is not fixed. How incompetent. Any one else would be out of a job for not addressing long standing issues but not at M.H. I recently had breakfast with my Aunt and the kitchen was out of milk, bread, butter, and coffee. Everyday they are out of something. Residents were promised gourmet meals. Not. The quality of food has gone way down. Staff doesn't know how to work the equipment in the Theatre. Most days residents are turned away with "I'm sorry" and that's suppose to be acceptable. TRAIN YOUR STAFF. God forbid if your loved one gets sick and needs a little extra care. They will tell you your loved one has to move to personal care even if that is not needed. They want the extra money but again do not have the staff to provide the basic needs for residents. People have been left on the toilet for hours waiting for help; they are dirty; staff steals personal food and loose change from the residents. Don't complain or report anything. You are scolded by [name removed] that they are doing the best they can. If that is the best they can do, close your doors. My Aunt has decided to leave because of these conditions and attitudes. I can't wait till she is out of that [language removed].

I took my mom to visit the community to see if she liked Mercer and she really liked it. We met with Craig and he was wonderful. My mom is not sure she wants to leave her home yet and Craig was very understanding and did not too push her which she needed. Now she needs time to think about her next steps.

In searching for a new home for my mother, I found Mercer Hill to be most appealing. It is physically pristine inside with an ambient wooded area surrounding. The staff is clearly available and caring towards the residents. The facilities and services are varied and appropriate. The residents themselves were friendly and inviting to those of us on tour. Mercer Hill is a cut above other senior living offerings in the area.

My Mother in Law has "reverse-aged" since moving to Mercer over one year ago. Prior to Mercer, she lived alone in a single family house and had lost contact with most friends due to a combination of friend's health issues as well as transportation limitations. Mercer does an excellent job of providing socialization opportunities. She is a very social person and playing games and making cookies and dining together has pried her away from the loneliness of living alone in a house, waiting upon only family members to visit. The Mercer physical facility is wonderful, but it is the friend group and the activities that have made all the difference.

Our Mom has transitioned a few times, from independent living to assisted living, and is now in the memory care unit at Mercer Hill in Doylestown. This is by far the best place she has lived. The facilities are top-notch and the staff is dedicated and caring. There are excellent resources available, with in-house visits by medical professionals (primary care, dental, podiatry, etc.) to help alleviate logistical concerns for many care needs. Management is very responsive for any concerns or issues that arise. We highly recommend Mercer Hill as a community.

My mom moved to Mercer Hill about a year ago. Her apartment is beautiful and I love the fact she has friends and activities. The facility has so many amenities the fact that there is a gym, in house doctor and PT are also very beneficial.

My Daddy moved to Mercer Hill this past June from a nice Senior Living home in Az to be closer to me. I did a lot of research to find a place as good as the one he left and I am happy to say that Mercer Hill is even nicer than where he was living before. He is doing great! He is in the first level of Personal Care and the residence and staff are wonderful. When he wanted a change in his daily routine for his medications, they treated him with care and respect by listening to his concerns and preferences. They came up with a plan that would work for everyone and he is very thankful. My 11 year old daughter visits often and has commented on how nice it smells in the whole place and how pretty everything is. She is a very honest pre-teen 🙂 I highly recommend taking the time to visit the community for yourself or your loved one too!

After visiting several communities in the area my mom decided on Mercer Hill at Doylestown. The staff is so welcoming and they look out for all of the residents. The community has everything she needs from shopping and day trips, arts & crafts, movies, and a lot of other social activities. And for her kids, we all have peace of mind that she is in a friendly, caring and active community.

After searching multiple facilities, Mercer Hill was top of the list based on the facility, activities and staff. After moving my father in, it was indeed the right choice. Tons of interesting activities, great food selections, the cafe concept is wonderful for breakfast and lunch. After a recent hospital stay, my father needed a little extra care and Mercer Hill stepped right up. The information flow is fantastic. Dad is actually doing better here than living by himself. Mercer Hill is a wonderful community of older residents and I could not more highly recommend both the environment or staff! I teach painting classes here every couple of months and it's always a great experience creating with the residents and working alongside the staff. I had the pleasure of teaching a sip & paint networking event for the staff members and it was a wonderful time to connect and get to know everyone who works here a bit better. It's a beautiful community and the staff is very nice. In our case my mother's care needs exceeded what they could provide but that's not their fault, it was just time for long term nursing care for her. She did enjoy her time at Mercer and it's hard to overstate the positive effect of the new facility. I would highly recommend it.

My mother moved into Mercer Hill a few months ago and loves it. We are both super happy with the accommodations and staff. Meals are great, especially breakfast and lunch. People are super friendly and always helpful. There are lots of activities for my Mom to enjoy which is a big deal since she is recently widowed. She had to adjust to living on her own in a new place which is tough. Mercer Hill made the transition smooth. I am lucky I live close so I can visit frequently and see her happiness. She's really adjusted well which I believe can be attributed to the friendly staff who really do their best to offer activities all day long, including movies in the theater. We love the weekly Meet N Greets, exercise and trips. So much to do on such beautiful grounds with wonderful people. I highly recommend Mercer Hill for your loved ones.

My mother and I visited Mercer Hill at Doylestown a few weeks ago and we're very impressed with the community. The staff was warm and welcoming and it was decorated very tastefully. They have multiple rooms dedicated to specific activities that encouraged pursuing hobbies well as social interaction with other members of the community. The apartments were lovely and appeared to be very well built. One specific feature that stood out was that the community backed on to a large wooded area with a hiking trail. This is hard to find in most senior living communities; the setting was lovely with lush greenery surrounding the facility. The reason my mother chose not to move in to Mercer Hill was the distance to family and friends. Had it been closer I believe she would have selected Mercer Hill at Doylestown!

Visited Mercer Hill a couple weeks ago, and words cannot describe how beautiful this place is. Every resident I met, had nothing but fantastic things to say about their home. This facility felt like an upscale resort. From activities to their calm and collect sitting/lounging areas, everything felt RIGHT. If you have a chance, please PLEASE check out their amazing garden area!! A lot of patience and love went into that! I highly recommend Mercer Hill, its definitely where I would personally want to call home.

My mom moved to a Mercer Hill Independent Living apartment about 3 months ago and the quality of her life has improved incredibly! She loves her apartment but frankly, she's not in it that much because she's always participating in the many daily activities! We are so grateful to Mercer Hill for giving her such a beautiful and safe community where she has made many new friends. The staff truly care and do their best to please all of the residents. Since this is a new community, tweaks are still being made for the betterment of all!
