I worked there for a little over a year... Jackie Hein was the head of the facility. I started right before covid hit and by December 2020 I got diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and had to go on oxygen. At that time, her boss wanted jackie to fire me but she told her that she couldn't do that... I ended up going from full time down to part time and at the end, I was only working 4 pm to 8 pm on my weekends. She always came in to help with med passes when we were short. I would recommend this place to anyone. Jackie has a heart of gold.

Went for an interview last resort kinda thing, a handful of people were outside without an aide which concerned me only because it was so close to the road, and inside I heard some were smoking / vaping on 2nd or 3rd floor in their rooms which may or may not have caused the fire alarm to go on and off while there.( also could of been due to the storm ) But I drove 35 minutes to be told the highest they'd pay is $16. Annoyed at the time and gas wasted wish they would have listed it on their indeed listing.

Golden Harbor is a truly wonderful community with tremendous staff. What i have found really matters when putting a loved one into assisted living is not how fancy the building is, it is how are the people working there going to interact with my Mom/Dad, etc. That is the area where Golden Harbor really sets itself apart from the competition. The Administrator, Manager, and their team do an incredible job caring for the residents. Every time I am there the feeling of a warm, loving community just permeates from everyone I talk to. This is the place I would recommend to any member of my family living anywhere near Sheboygan
