First class facility is all I can say. Not just the building, but the staff included. Kind, caring, courteous at all levels from drivers to management. Now the food. The best available. Phil is excellent. Surroundings are great. Especially the remnants of the old gold mining days. Hydraulic mining.

Being a resident of Eskaton Village Placerville has shown me what an exceptional experience a senior person can have even though they are elderly and unable to do the ordinary tasks they did throughout their lives. The staff members are trained to be helpful and provide interesting activities keeping them motivated and self-fulfilling as well as helping them to be happy and productive.

My mom worked at Eskaton since 2017. I was 8 years old then. I remembered she took me to Eskaton for Halloween trick or treat. The place was welcoming and nice, they had a lot of activities set up for the kids to have fun as well as the elderly. The environment was warm and really inviting and I had a great time there when I was little.

In my time as an employee at Eskaton Village Placerville, I have come to appreciate so much my fellow coworkers who go above and beyond every day to meet the needs and help to enrich the lives of our residents. From my first day, I could tell that the employees really work as a team and that the job attracts people who genuinely care for the elderly in our community. Working in the dietary department, I am proud of the quality of the meals that we provide, and happy for the sense of belonging that can come from residents sharing a meal together. The photo I've attached is from an event we did in coordination with the activities department to explore the foods and cultures of other countries; just another way to ever expand our sense of community. 🙂

I've worked as a wait staff member for 5 years at Eskaton Village Placerville. This community is by far the best I have ever been to! The residents are amazing and treat us like family Eskaton takes good care of their employees, as evidenced by the fact that we have several staff members who have been here since it opened in 2008. Longevity says a lot.

My dad lived at Eskaton Placerville for 3 years: 1 year in the cottages and 2 years in assisted living. Not only is it a beautiful setting but the facility was always super clean and the staff were very professional, caring, and always made an effort to connect with my dad and the other residents who live there. My dad enjoyed the various activities and themed holiday events. I have been working with Eskaton Village Placerville for many years as a part of a program called Eskaton Kids Connection. Each month I bring my fifth grade class to Eskaton Village Placerville, where we spend the morning doing different activities with residents that sign up for this program. We usually break apart our time into three parts : Morning brain exercises, lunch, and after lunch craft. It is such an amazing experience watching the two groups interact. The kids get so much enjoyment out of helping their buddy, listening to stories, and having a general sense of responsibility and citizenship. The resident's light up each month when they see the kids walking down the hallway to come join them at their table to hang out for the morning. This has been such a valuable program. As a fifth grade teacher trying to help tomorrow's leaders, Eskaton Kids Connection has served as an amazing opportunity to show students the power of community, citizenship, and most importantly friendship.

Working as a Life Enrichment Assistant for more than 7 years is a blessing for me. The place is only 15 minutes drive from home. Eskaton Village Placerville is almost my second home. The place is amazing. The food is great. We have our own van, bus and campus patrol golf cart for transportation and service. We have a lot of activities for our residents such as walking, exercising, singing, dancing, bingo,arts and crafts and even baking. Our staff are very friendly. The place is very clean and well maintained. Please come and visit EVP

My mom lived at Placerville Eskaton for 10 months before her passing. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Placerville Eskaton. Every single one of the staff members are kind, fun and helpful. They keep their residents busy with fun activities and field trips. My mom thought the food was great! The grounds and facility are always kept so beautiful. I would highly recommend Eskaton, and if I ever need a facility like this, Placerville Eskaton will definitely be my choice. Sally

I've lived here at EVP for about two years and it's been an absolute joy, every minute of it. Everything about being here is delightful. I haven't met a neighbor I didn't like, as everyone is so kind and pleasant all of the time, from neighbors to staff. I can also say I've never had a meal I didn't enjoy, the options and availability in our dining, along with the food being so consistent and well made, it's all fabulous and I'm so thankful for it all. The activities and options here are also wonderful, from group shopping trips to swimming, but my absolutely favorite activity here would have to be the live performed concerts we have regularly. The variety in music and genres, there's never been a performer I didn't enjoy. It's so wonderful here and I can absolutely say that This is my home, through and through, and I cannot imagine living anywhere else. I am very thankful and my family and I found this place for me.

I worked with Eskaton Village Placerville for years and I loved it there. Staff provide the elderly with many activities to entertain and enjoy themselves and most importantly make them feel at home. I'm grateful Eskaton that even until now that I am not working there anymore they are still given me the opportunity to volunteer at their wonderful facility. I'm able to learn from the working staff, what they do on a daily bases to ensure the Resident's are happy and their needs are cared for. Also I am given the opportunity to have conversations with the Resident's of Eskaton and that make me very happy. Overall Eskaton is a place residents can call safe and home.
