Devonshire is truly an exceptionable Senior Living Community. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the difference! The entire staff absolutely love their Residents like family! I believe their recipe for success is in the attention to the little things that matter and mean so much.

Upon first inspection of Devonshire Retirement Village, the outside of the facility looked well kept and was complete with beautiful, flowering trees, an outdoor gazebo with chairs and potted flowers. When I entered the facility, no one greeted me. I had no idea how to get to the client's room however, I figured out I needed to sign into the facility. There was hand sanitizer which I used. The rooms are quite homey as clients can appoint their rooms with their own personal items. However, we were told there has been some theft occurring at the facility to which I do not know has been resolved. This is quite concerning as it is the facility's responsibility to ensure the safety and security of their clients. In my humble opinion, the facility should be responsible for the theft of the items. Cameras should be installed to insure the safety of the patients. The patients can use them like ring cameras so there is not a violation of privacy. The personnel was friendly and personable. The food looked appetizing. I am giving this facility 3 stars because I believe it is a nice facility despite the cost of room/board. However, the security of the clients is quite alarming and should be addressed post haste.

Devonshire is by far the best retirement community I have ever been associated with! The staff, administrators and facilities are absolutely tremendous, very kind and incredibly well run! The price is also very affordable! I highly recommend all levels of care for this community, you will not be dissapointed!

My mother in law has lived at Devonshire for close to 2 years. She has nothing, but warm regards to say about the staff and other residents. What was once meant to be a temporary stay has turned into her forever home!

Edit at the end... I came to visit my grandma and found that a loose BM had soaked through her diaper onto her chair. She must have been sitting in her dirty diaper for so long for it to have soaked through like that. She is being neglected and I am heartbroken. I left in tears over her mistreatment. Edit: Someone from Devonshire responded to my review quickly and reached out to the family to discuss our concerns. The resolution they came to was to have a conversation with their employees about being more attentive. They also asked me to delete my review, but I would rather edit it so that I can still provide an insight to my experience with this establishment for anyone else seeking services. I can come back again and edit this review to 5 stars when I feel a significant improvement has been made.

My mom has been in the Lapeer facility since 12/27/17. I have nothing by good things to say about staff, admin, facility. Everyone is caring, concerned & welcoming. Any concerns we may have, have addressed quickly & to our satisfaction. The building & grounds are always neat, clean & well-kept. The new flooring & furniture are very nice. We enjoy visiting. It is such a family aymosph

We couldn't be happier here at Devonshire retirement village. My mother has been here 1and 1/2 years. They take very good care of you, have activities to keep you engaged, exercise programs, entertainment, rooms are very comfortable and spacious. I would highly recommend Devonshire retirement village if you are needing an assisted living or memory care facility.
