My mom was treated with great kindness and care at Country Meadows. Staff really saw who she was, despite her limits of mobility and memory. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
December 2023

Country Meadows of West Shore is a kind and caring community. The staff is dedicated to the well-being of it's residents.
July 2023
My mother has been living at Country Meadows in Independent Living for over five years. It has been a wonderful experience exceeding our expectations. Her studio apartment is large and inviting. She enjoys the many activities scheduled on a daily basis. She has been exercising for the first time in her life! She loves the food, it is truly prepared by a chef. Life was extremely difficult during Covid but mom was kept safe and stimulated as best they could. The coworkers are beyond amazing. My mother introduces them as friends. They are kind and caring. The residents band to together to care to support other. Recently she moved into Personal Care. This is difficult for a resident. The directors of both buildings put in a great deal of time with her and our family to make the transition as smooth as possible. They were accommodating and understanding even when she wasn't! Her new room is gorgeous. There is more staff at this level to support the clients. I don't know how Country Meadows hires all knowledge kind and caring employees. They handle awkward situations which could be humiliating to a resident with kindness and grace. They show up for work each day with smile, they want to be there. I have witnessed both building directors help with housekeeping and personal care like it's their job. They have alleviated all my concerns and worries each step of the way expeditiously. The facility is beautiful but it's the coworkers that inspire me to recommend this facility for their aging loved ones.
May 2023
My godmother loved it here and it is a nice place. The people are friendly and compassionate. The staff always worked with me when I had questions or needed something, she was there for over five years and they treated her very well. The facility is very clean and well kept. During Covid they took every step possible to keep everyone safe. I would like to especially thank Kerri for an outstanding job for all her help and care given to my godmother, plus I would like to thank the rest of the staff which is to many names to mention, but you know who you are. Thanks again
April 2023
My sisters and I are thankful every day that our mother is an assisted living resident at Country Meadows. While our mother benefits from the loving care and a team approach to her medical and mental wellbeing, we benefit from the exceptional communication and responsiveness of management and staff. Simply said, Country Meadows gives us peace of mind.
March 2023
My mother-in-law had a 2 week respite stay at Country Meadows and it was wonderful. The communication was incredible (even texting me a pic to show how happy she was) throughout the stay; my MIL felt welcomed immediately and was thoroughly satisfied with her stay. It was great to have peace of mind while we were away and know that she was having her own vacation -- and of course, she loved the dessert tray that came around after meals!
March 2023
My 94 year old mother is in the Camp Hill facility. The staff is wonderful to her and she loves them and the food. Before she was admitted her life was sedentary. Now many times when I call her she is out at one of the activities. She is more alive and vibrant since she lives here. My husband was in the Hershey facility and he loved being there. I cannot say enough good things about these facilities.
March 2023
My dad has been living at Country Meadows in Connections Memory Support for almost two years. I cannot say enough Thank You's or positive things about the Connections staff, Country Meadows Receptionists, Country Meadows Leadership and all other Country Meadows staff. Dad has absolutely received the best care and support I could ever ask for. All staff really care about their Residents lives, health and safety. Dad has been involved in more exercise and activities than I ever thought he would be. Dad is happy and thriving. Country Meadows staff also care about their resident's families. They have provided me caring support, encouragement and guidance. Country Meadows staff are a wealth of information in Senior Care and Senior Care options. I am forever grateful. In my eyes all staff at Country Meadows are angels. I truly believe God put Country Meadows in our path for a reason. I highly recommend Country Meadows Retirement Communities.
February 2023
I am incredibly grateful to the team at Country Meadows for the excellent care they provided to my grandmother during a monthlong respite stay. Sometimes caregivers need to take a minute to "put their own oxygen mask on first," but that is often easier said than done. I rest and relaxed easier knowing that she was in wonderful hands with the professionals at Country Meadows. She was well cared for and they provided excellent communication throughout her time there. She constantly raved about the food, the caregivers, and the opportunity for daily exercise. She will definitely be back for another stay!
December 2022
My mother was in the memory care unit for almost 2 years until she passed away. The staff was very loving and caring to my mother. All of my questions were answered in a timely manner. Instead of feeling like mom was in a care facility, it felt like a hotel. I highly recommend Country Meadows Retirement Community.
October 2022
My parents recently moved into Country Meadows after my mom had been there to pursue extended rehabilitation for a pelvic fracture after a *terrible experience* at a local rehab facility where she actually declined in physical and mental health. This event caused us to re-evaluate whether my parents' home of 50+ years remained viable for them. After my mom did so well in CM's Pathways program, we decided to pursue a more permanent arrangement for both of them. From the first email to Allie Slesser, the CM/Mechanicsburg Director of Marketing, to today (a couple months later) the folks at Country Meadows have been warm, friendly, responsive, comforting, empathetic, informative, professional and SUPER accommodating. They made one of the most stressful periods of my family's life much, much better. Now settled in, my parents are safe, looked after, social, clean, smiling and beginning to make friends and pursue activities. I am grateful for this situation every day and highly recommend Country Meadows for families in a similar situation.

Based on your pictures of your facility, I would like greatly to be transferred from Frey Village Nursing Home located in Middletown Pennsylvania to your address.
December 2021
Trusting others with your loved one is never easy. But after many conversations and much care from Allison Slesser and staff, my apprehension was relieved. My father is thriving at the Mechanicsburg location, and I am overjoyed! Thank you Country Meadows for helping make a difficult transition easier, and giving me peace of mind night and day!
November 2021
This facility has a very caring staff and put in alot of effort caring for both my Mother and Father. When it was time for Dad to pass, they went above and beyond to accommodate my entire large family for over a week...thank you staff, Well Done!!!
October 2021
My mother and father have lived here for almost a year and they are very happy. The staff is wonderful! They get great care here which gives my brothers as well as myself peace of mind. I highly recommend Country Meadows!
October 2021
Mom moved to Country Meadows in Mechanicsburg two months ago. It was a difficult decision and move to make but thanks to the staff and caregivers, it has been an easy transition for her. They are all wonderful - from the girls who arranged the virtual tour and helped us prior to moving in making sure everything was taken care of and in place, the maintenance guy who set up her TV for us the day she moved in, the receptionist who sees that Mom gets the things I drop off for her, and those that are there every day for her! They are the best! And all this while managing a facility during a pandemic!
September 2021
My father got very sick and was in the hospital for a week and needed to go to a rehabilitation center to get his strength back before going home. He has been to several programs around the area including Messiah and as I thought Messiah couldn't be beat the Country Meadows Progression program blew them out of the water. From the ease of admission and the set up of care for him while he was there its definitely the most efficient and well run facility we have encountered. My father said that the facility and the staff are as good as it gets. He said someone was always there promptly when needed and every part of his room was clean as a whistle. He had great meals, meds delivered on time and everyone he had contact with was caring and competent. He wanted to say a special thank you to Allie the Marketing Director who went above and beyond to make sure he had everything he needed. I want to say that the communication that we received while he was in there was amazing and much appreciated. They never were in a rush and made sure I was kept up to date with his care. I really cant say enough good things about Country Meadows and when and if the time comes to transition him into independent or assisted living or if rehab is needed again I will be calling them first!
August 2021
We have been extremely pleased with the care our mother has received. The move couldn't have gone more smoothly even in the midst of COVID restrictions. The staff has been friendly and helpful and have readily answered all of our questions. A special thank you to Ally.
July 2021
The management, especially Allison Slesser, went above and beyond to give our mother a place to be well taken care of. I can't thank her enough. Allison and her team genuinely care about people and their residents.
June 2021
I have worked for Country Meadows for over four years now and I absolutely love my job and love this campus. I can't imagine working anywhere else. And that's after/during a pandemic. Here's why: 1 - The people. I have met the best people here who I have so much respect for. Over the past year plus I have also witnessed people giving everything they can possibly think of to do the best they can for the residents we all love so much. I have seen this at every level. From the very top, investing in sanitation and PPE and treatments, and even creating a dedicated covid wing, to the front lines watching staff help with virtual visits, give haircuts and styles when we couldn't have our beautician on campus, and simply knowing what to do to make each resident smile and feel loved. The people here are the absolute best, bar none. 2 - The philosophy. As a recreation therapist, it can be a real challenge to find long term care that truly understands the crucial role engagement plays in health and well being. Every place advertises recreation, but not very many fully support recreation. Country Meadows does. Unwavering-ly. I cannot tell you what this means to me professionally, but far more than that, what it means for the residents. 3 - The support. Whether it's a tough day, a tough situation, or a family crisis, Country Meadows has always supported me. My supervisors believe in me and want to see me be the best I can possibly be. When times are tough, they listen to me and join me in problem solving. When my brother was in a life threatening accident, Country Meadows fully supported me to do what I needed to do for him, and offered the kindness of a beautiful care package sent out while I was at his bedside. 4 - The education. Country Meadows trains, trains, and trains some more. Not only that, they offer scholarships for staff wanting to further their education. If I have a question, am unsure of something, someone is always willing to help me understand or find an answer. This shows me Country Meadows is not only dedicated to being the absolute best, but fully understands what a crucial role education plays in being able to get there. I love Country Meadows. I know every workplace faces challenges and certainly this past year with the pandemic has been an enormous challenge. I cannot imagine working anywhere else through these times. I am so grateful to be here. I love my job. I love my co-workers. I love the residents I am so blessed to care for. And I love working for Country Meadows.

We received top notch service making the move to assisted living. The Mechanicsburg community is friendly and the facilities are clean and inviting. The Dir. of Marketing at the Mechanicsburg community is extremely knowledgeable and professional, and she very helpful in making this transition.
March 2021
Great facility but the staff is what makes Country Meadows a truly wonderful place. In spite of Covid they have done everything possible to get my mom (97) checked in and comfortable. And they are trying to help me convince my dad (99) that he should also move in.
August 2020
Country Meadows of West Shore gives you such a wonderful sense of the community and culture of the company as a whole. West Shore campus helped to advance my career into senior living and allowed me to keep growing. The coworkers are more like a family and truly are always helping and caring for residents in ways I hope to have my family cared for.
July 2020
Having your loved one move to an assisted living facility is stressful on all - you, your loved one, family and friends. Country Meadows of Mechanicsburg knew we were stressed and was able to make all of us feel comfortable with their program/facility. We were first exposed to CM when my father needed additional therapy after being discharged from a rehab hospital. We were there on a short time agreement, wishing and hoping my father would stay at CM -he wanted to return home and we respected his wishes. Fast forward one year..... my father was no longer safe at home and we needed to find him somewhere he was comfortable - after trying another place (another story) we were able to get my dad back to CM. When we arrived, he said, I'm home.....That was the beginning of him really being home. He was quickly settled into an amazing room, surrounded by amazing staff. All the staff members cared for my father like they were related. The housekeeper noticed a change in him one day and assisted in getting him the medical treatments he needed and cried when she knew it all worked out and he was fine. The aide noticed my father was an artist and showed him her work which ignited a light for him to try to s=draw again... the list goes on and on... If you are looking for a place for your loved one to go to to be cared for like a King/Queen or a family member, please go to CM. Just one more note... we decided to try to move my father closer to family outside of Mechanicsburg. Once we told some of the centers where he was and how our expectations were high due to the care he has been receiving, one of the centers told us that they could not meet the expectations of the care delivery at CM as CM is the top rated center in the state and is always meeting or exceeding the regulatory inspections mandated. I am more than happy to talk to anyone who needs to talk about CM- you will NOT be disappointed for the care they deliver to your loved one and how they keep you informed about the updates you need to know. Our family rates CM 10/10 - 100%

Country Meadows West Shore is a fantastic place! The staff are friendly, professional, and there is a genuine sense of family there. They truly care about each person who calls Country Meadows their home and you can see that in their faces and smiles. The community is clean, friendly, and vibrant.
February 2020
The past 60 days has been an overwhelming journey for our family as we navigated our parents hospitalizations, rehabilitations, moves from an independent living facility to assisted living at Country Meadows, and the eventual death of our father. It's not an understatement to say that the staff at Country Meadows was outstanding every step of the way. The marketing team, the transportation drivers, the nursing staff, the kitchen personnel and maintenance staff are professional and kind in the way they interact with both residents and family. When it became clear that our father's care needs were more at the level of a skilled nursing facility, Allie and Danielle worked with us to come up with a plan combining private duty and hospice care to allow him to return to Country Meadows from the rehab facility. His last week of life was spent with his wife rather than alone in another new facility. Just a week later, our mother was ready to move to a single room, and once again, the staff were on hand to arrange everything. We are thankful to everyone who is a part of the team.

I will always call members (residents, residents' families, and coworkers) of Country Meadows of West Shore my family. I began working for Country Meadows of West Shore in 2011 as a Personal Care Associate in the Memory Support neighborhood. Although I was in nursing school, which was beneficial to my success in the position, I was adequately trained for my position through classes and hands-on experiences. I was given specific Dementia training to help me understand and meet the needs of those I cared for. I was also given the opportunity to take the PA state medication administration course in order to advance as a Medication Associate at no cost to me. I worked for the company until I graduated nursing school. I sought to gain experience as a nurse in an acute care setting, but once a coworker told me that the Director of Nursing position at Country Meadows was available, I reapplied to Country Meadows of West Shore and was welcomed back with open arms. It was like I had never left. I have worked for Country Meadows of West Shore at entry and management levels and have only good things to say about the company. The residents and line of work speak for themselves. I have made lifelong friends with my coworkers. Every day, I made a positive difference in someone's life. I have never had a more rewarding career. I have also never worked for a company that valued the voices of the coworker and resident as much as Country Meadows does. If you walk through any neighborhood on campus, you can just feel Country Meadows culture and the caring attitude the coworkers possess. I highly recommend Country Meadows of West Shore to people seeking meaningful work and families looking for a trusted personal care home for their loved ones. I truly believe that at Country Meadows, life does get better. Mine sure did!
June 2019
I started working for this company in February 2016 as a PCA working various shifts, eventually staying on 3-11 to become a medication associate. I've worked both day shift and evening shift on every unit on campus. In August 2018 I decided to further my career and go to LPN school on a very generous scholarship awarded to me by Country Meadows. The amount of support that I received during nursing school was endless. From my peers to my superiors, everyone was constantly offering help and support to help me get through school and ensure success. Management was extremely flexible helping me construct a work schedule that allowed me to be a full time student and still work. At the completion of my program, I was offered a job as an LPN which of course I accepted. I've now been out of nursing school for a year and have loved being able to serve my residents from the role of an LPN. This facility is beautiful both inside and out. The coworkers are all amazing individuals who I've had the honor of working with for 3 years now. Every single person is unique, with the same goal of providing a comfortable place for our residents to call home. This campus is a place that I have enjoyed working for, and would absolutely trust for my loved one to go if the situation occurred. There is not a doubt in my mind that anyone who came here would feel they are anywhere other than home.
September 2018
With my work I'm in and out of different facilities. This is one of the best retirement living facilities in central PA. However, the way I've heard the director of the facility talk to staff makes me give this a low rating. All other employees are joyful and caring from my dealings with them.
