This first review was shortly after my father moved into Brightview in 2021. The second review is after he passed away in January 2024. I helped my father look into independent living options around the area and was very impressed with Brightview and specifically their Severna Park location. Kristina was a fantastic person to work with to make decisions and to get moved in. It is a very well run and well designed facility and it has a constant set of activities that bring together many of the residents. My father was skeptical about whether he would be happy moving here and if it was 'worth it'. I can tell you it has been an ideal place for him and he really enjoys his community and says it was a great decision. Even with Covid limitations, Brightview has been a great home. From the food, to the movies and music, happy hours, exercise, and games, he has a schedule of things to look forward to every day. It is also well set up to support someone that is older and no longer drives; the staff are so helpful and empathetic. I am very proud of the decision to move to Brightview Severna Park and I openly recommend it to others. ==================================================== To the wonderful staff and residents of Brightview Severna Park: I have so much to thank you for on behalf of my dad and my family. To the staff, you made my dad's time at Brightview a wonderful experience, you always have a great attitude, spirit and kindness that makes a world of difference. To my dad's friends, whether it was karaoke, happy hour, dinner, brunch, pinochle, gardening or men's events, thank you for the friendship and kindness you showed. You all treated him like he was apart of your family. My father's 3 years at Brightview were so much more fulfilling than he or I could have imagined and I am confident it extended his life and enjoyment. The integrated support from the physician/nurse team that visits the site and the amazing team from Bayada health, truly created a support structure to provide the needed care, therapy, and encouragement. Easily the best choice for our family.

My parents lived in Brightview for the last part of their lives back in 2010 to 2014. I've always liked the Brightview locations very much. I have been a volunteer at Brightview Catonsville for 14 years as a as a minister of music for Masses on Fridays. Currently I'm the education director of Classic Theatre of Maryland, and I conduct play readings with residents at Brightview Severna Park. The residents tell me that they really love the experience, and it is certainly therapeutic for their voices, physical well-being, and their imaginations! I hope this continues and spreads to other Brightview locations.

Brightview is a lovely place because it's warm and friendly. All the staff are cheerful and more than willing to help. The facility is clean and bright, residents appear happy to be a part of the family and the grounds are outstanding.
