Lovely clean atmosphere. It seems to me they're not enough challenging activities. for residents I know it's important for those Who can to move. Need more outdoor activities, intellectual conversation and spurring some joy. Also seems there's no one there to help when problems arise. Even tho they are unassisted doesn't mean they don't sometimes need help; someone to talk to or lend a helping hand. Lastly I know the elderly miss their friends and families. I think they should be able to eat meals in the dining room and have family mingle and get to know. Actually join in any activity. I have a friend in a Brightview near Boston and she is allowed to bring anyone to dine in the dining room with the residents it gets her to introduce Her family and make friends with other residents and their families. I think that kind of interaction is enriching for all

Facility is clean and well kept. Nursing staff is excellent. Management work well together to help solve problems and make residents feel at home. I'm comforted knowing my mom is being well cared for in the assisted living unit.

My parents are older and moved into the facility a few years ago. Brightview has given them the opportunity to make new friendships as they are aging. The staff at Brightview is compassionate, caring, and really makes them and my siblings feel comfortable. The facilities are top notch, very clean, and well maintained. They go above and beyond for my parents to care for their needs and try their best to accommodate their requests. Being the owner of a moving company, I have seen many facilities in my lifetime. Brightview is by far the best with their accommodations. We are grateful to the staff and we appreciate their dedication to running a wonderful facility.

My mom has been a resident of Brightview Lake Tappan for almost 5 years. She takes part and enjoys many of the activities that are available like arts & crafts, word games, exercise class, and evening music entertainment. We have found the staff helpful and kind, without a great deal of turnover. Brightview has allowed my mom, who doesn't drive, to live independently in a community that is safe, respectful, and full of opportunities for connection.

I am so happy our family found Brightview Lake Tappan for my mother! The staff are professional and very caring. Everytime I visit, the staff greet my mom by name and are very happy to meet me! I love to see the interaction between my mother and her new friends! There are so many daily activities and the staff encourage and help facilitate the residents to join in and participate. She is always treated with kindness! I love to see my mom so happy! They also offer family activities and I love to attend and spend time with my mother and her friends, it is a great way to get to know them! My mother raves about the food and the daily dining experience. The facility is always very clean and the landscaping is beautiful. I am so happy that my mother is living in such an amazing place with wonderful staff that are willing to help in any way! My parents moved into the memory care portion of Brightview Lake Tappan in November 2018. The facility had newly opened and we were able to get them into a large one bedroom "apartment", with a separate living room that has a sink, small fridge and plenty of room for a couch, chairs, TV etc. Over the course of the first year, my mother passing away and my father now lives there by himself. I cannot say enough about the care that all of the staff has shown my mother (when she was alive) and my dad. The team has been so caring, loving, and helpful over these years. Now that we are dealing with the pandemic, Brightview Lake Tappan has been completely transparent (and, of course, maintained total privacy) about those who have been exposed to Covid or have had it. They have done an amazing job of keep the residents safe and have had very few incidents of exposure. I would absolutely recommend this particular Brightview facility (I have another family member in a different BV facility, so I am able to compare). If you are thinking of having a loved one move there, or even if you are thinking of moving there yourself, this one should be on the top of your list. Sept 2023 Update: My dad passed away last week in the loving care of the Well Spring Village staff at Brightview Lake Tappan. My family and I could not have asked for more. He was in hospice for the last few days of his life, and everyone including Sheila, Estive, Mary and John made him very comfortable. They also did an amazing job of taking care of the family members coming to visit. Brightview Lake Tappan is an exceptional place. We couldn't feel more satisfied about Dad's care. Thanks all.

Brightview gave myself and three of my siblings a tour today (thank you Peter Frawley!). We were so impressed. The place has it all as well as a warm and welcoming aura. We are signing our parents up! So happy we found a place that impressed us enough to want our parents to move in!

Brightview Lake Tappan has been a place our aunt has called home for the past 2 months. Every day we speak, she tells us how happy she is in her beautiful apartment. She continues to meet new friends daily and laughs about her busy her social calendar has become. In addition to the lovely residents she calls her friends, the staff is incredibly attentive, as well as compassionate, to ensure everyone settles into their new life with ease. The grounds and courtyard are very welcoming. The interior throughout is beautifully decorated and well-maintained. Brightview Lake Tappan was the perfect choice for our aunt. Knowing she's happy and well-taken care of means the world to us!

My mother has been a resident at Brightview Lake Tappan since March, 2021, mid pandemic. We exhaustively researched independent living options in her area and selected Brightview as the leader over other area quality institutions. There has never been a moment at looking back at this decision. The staff maintains clearly communicated COVID protocols, whilst not interfering with the independent living experience. She loves when the family, especially grandkids, come to visit but is quick to reschedule our visits due to 'I have dinner with so-and-so, and don't want to be tired', or 'It's Bingo night', or ' I'm going to the theater', or 'I'm going to happy hour today', and on and on. My family could not be happier knowing that mom is comfortable, safe, happy and has made numerous new friends. The staff at Brightview Lake Tappan is the fulcrum making this all happen. It was strenuous selecting independent living and moving mom from her house of 35+ years, but her happiness and safety has made that strain a distant memory.

The facility is a brand new building that looks more like a hotel than a senior living facility. The dining area, the pubs, the libraries, the sitting areas (with fireplaces), the movie/TV areas, and the fitness gym are all very well thought of and something that cannot be compared to other facilities that I have seen around the area. The whole place is clean as well. Their memory care unit has its own outdoor living space that comprises of a flower garden and a pergola with a sitting area for their residents and their visitors. Furthermore, what's unique in this specific outdoor space is the walkway which has a rubber surface (like that of a track field) which for me, increases safety for the residents. Also, they have programs and activities everyday to keep the residents engaged with other residents as well as the employees. Their employees (from the concierge to the nurses) are also well engaged to their residents. Overall, I would not hesitate to refer a love one or a friend who are looking for a place for their parents or grandparents where they can transition from living in their own home.

I can't say enough how impressed I am with the Brightview of Lake Tappan community. On my recent visit I got to see how good the wellness staff is the friendly environment, residents seem busy whenever one may go to visit, lots going on always activities and a real beautiful homie environment. The department I specifically work with is Health and Wellness, I can not say enough about the efficiency and professionalism that department expresses. They make sure their residents are monitored and kept healthy. I know they have done an exceptional job during covid and have had excellent nursing during this horrible pandemic. I would recommend any of my friends or family members to a community as Brightview Lake Tappan
