My parents have been at the BelRae for about a year. The team there did an amazing job welcoming them into the community. The residents are all lovely and also very welcoming to newcomers. There are cookies and coffee everyday at 10 (my mom’s favorite part) and many residents come to gather. They also have lots of entertainment and happy hour on Fridays. The food is good (very important to my dad) and overall it’s just a nice place for your loved ones to be as the Staff from the restaurant workers to the aides and all the residents are just very caring people! Mom has been at Bel Rae for a bit over a year now. The people are super friendly and care about the residents and their visiting guests. The assisted living rooms are well thought out and flow well. They even have a room that out of town guests can rent at a very reasonable rate. The reception area, entry area and dining room are all up to date and clean. The dining room provides a weekly overview of the menu plus offers alternative meal options (the soups and desserts are also very tasty and included with meals if desired). Residents can choose to receive all meals, no meals or pay as you go. My mom receives all meals and the cost is very reasonable. They offer in house medical services on a schedule; a nurse practitioner, eye care, dental (which I haven't seen elsewhere), podiatry and audiologist. This option is great and reduces outings if not wanted or able due to limited mobility. Plus it makes my life a bit more balanced. They offer church service weekly (both a Catholic Communion Service and non-Catholic service). There is a hair stylist available on site as well. They have a nice movie theater with a new film every week. The gym area has a couple of machines (example there is a NuStep) plus weights etc. They distribute an activity calendar monthly, so residents (and family) can review and plan what they would like to do. Some activities include; Outings for crafts, Aldi's, Walmart and restaurants. There is also dog therapy, card games and other games, dime bingo, weekly happy hour, performers 1-2x a week. Mom loves it there and considers people there a new part of her family. I'm very happy they had an opening when my mom needed to move into assisted living. They also celebrate special days (mother's/father's day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.) where residents can invite family for music and a special meal. Overall this is an excellent facility and I would highly recommend.

We moved our Dad to Bel Rae in November of 2024. He resided there for 15 months before recently passing away at 89. We thought the move to assisting living would have been a difficult transition for him, but he loved his new home immediately. He participated in the many activities offered, loved the music entertainment, had so much fun seeing the dogs and even went to flower arranging on Thursdays. My Dad loved the staff and met many wonderful friends. The staff at Bel Rae truly made an impact in our Dad's life. Everyone was always so kind and helpful. A very special thanks to JoAnn and Susan. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure our Dad received exceptional care and that his needs were fully met. We are grateful for their compassion and dedication. The family of B.Sholl

We were given a recommendation by a dear family friend to tour Bel Rae when our family needed to make the difficult choice to relocate our mother. After one year of our mom living at Bel Rae, we can honestly say we are blessed to have found them. The nurses and staff genuinely care for our mom. The activities, music, chapel, crafts and comradery with other residents have changed the trajectory of her wellness. The facilities are well maintained and so homey and administration communicates clearly and timely. I'm so thankful we found a place that values the transitions these residents need to make in vulnerable moments in life. Things are alway"s hard when you have to move a parent to memory care. I have to say that it took some time to get use to how things work at Bel Rae. but after the first year here i can say that the place is well run and and the staff up front all the way through Jo Ann,Susan,Jamiee and Danielle are easy to work with. if you need anything done or info Norma is great to deal with and always gets the the answers you need defiantly on top of things going on at Bel Rae.. Moly and Teresa. always have things going on for the residents as well as advice when asked on how to do things. the care staff and kitchen staff also very good to many names to list but always try to work with your needs. The maintenance guy Don is always on top of getting things fixed as needed and helping with questions for repairs The in house DR appointments and PT as well as OT have also been great.This is a good place for you loved ones. and every one is pleasant to work with.

I can't say enough good things about Bel Rae! My mom has lived there for a year and a half. She loves it. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. And as my mom's needs have changed, they have made sure to help her along the way.

This is a beautiful place for seniors to live safely among friendly people. The staff is fabulous kind and professional. Norma is always friendly at the front desk. My mother has been here close to 2 yrs ( Donna) she’s in the memory care unit on the first floor. At first I was very nervous about my mom living here. It took maybe 2 months at the most, I found the place just like living with your favorite family memebers. I even said on many occasions that I wish I was older so I could live here also. The other residents are so very friendly and kind. If you are wanting the best possible place for your loved one to live come live here.

My mom has lived in Bel Rae for 4 months and she loves it! The staff are very kind to her and make her feel comfortable. She enjoys the delicious food and participates in lots of activities. She moved from a senior apartment with limited activities and shared that she hasn't been this busy in over 20 years. She is happy and I am happy! I know she is safe and well taken care of.

We moved my Mom to Bel Rae from Rochester and she resided there for almost 4 years until her recent death at 92. We couldn't have asked for a better place. She had a high quality of life with compassionate care and wonderful activities. She loved weekly Chapel, music entertainment and special events. Our whole family is very thankful for her years there.

Bel Rae is a wonderful senior community! We first moved my father-in-law into the memory care area of Bel Rae. We were so happy with the facility and staff we then moved my father into an assisted living apartment there when he needed to leave his home. The communication to and from the staff at Bel Rae is amazing. They are prompt in their responses and continually go above and beyond to ensure that both of our loved ones are well cared for.

We moved our mom in on August 1st, she is so happy in her new home! She misses her home of 64 years but she loves all the friends she’s already made. She enjoys the food and having other residents to visit with during mealtimes. Mom also enjoys the daily exercise group and all the other activities!
