Our situation is different from most residents. I am the sole caregiver for my husband with Alzheimer’s. I was faced with a major surgery and at a loss how to proceed. A friend suggested respite care at Amber Lights. Kelly was amazing and found us a perfect apartment to meet our time frame. We moved in a week before my surgery so my hubs could meet his caregivers and get acclimated to the routine. I completed my hospital stay knowing he was safe and cared for. I am now back with him and recovering myself. Everyone here truly enjoys their interactions with all residents. While I am excited about returning home once I have all my strength back, I will be forever grateful for the exceptional gift Amber Lights has given us.

When looking for a place for my mother-in-law, what stood out most with Amber Lights was how the staff took the time to greet you with a smile and Hello. Our first interaction was with Kelly, he was so thorough about explaining how Amber Lights is set up, he showed the property with pride and explained what made Amber Lights different than other places. You move in and there is no need to move again when your level of care changes. He was clear about the financials and answered all our questions. He is like the social director, the residents all know him and joke with him. He is a bright light of the community that made us feel like this was the right place. The community itself is inviting, warm, and beautifully decorated. The resident apartments are thoughtfully designed, offering ample space for wheelchair mobility and enough room for residents to personalize and decorate their living spaces, making it feel like home. The health team lead by Sandy have all been so attentive and responsive to daily care questions. Amber Lights provides more than just care it offers a welcoming environment where they treated my MIL like family. We sincerely appreciate the support, compassion, and dedication shown to our loved one during her time there. So much so we are moving another family member in. We highly recommend Amber Lights.

My father has now lived at Amber Lights for 3 months. He arrived directly from a rehab center (where he was recovering from a fractured back). He simply was not ready to return home. At Amber Lights he has been supported at whatever level of care he has needed. Initially he needed a lot of help, now he needs very little. This has been perfect for him in his recovery. The staff has been incredible, many of them have worked there for over 15 years and you can tell that they genuinely love their jobs. When my father had a special day to commemorate, the staff went above and beyond. I had put in a request that they ask to the Chef to make his favorite peanut butter cookies, the picture is the fancy peanut butter dessert that Chef Jason made special just for my dad's special day. We are so happy to have found Amber Lights and truly feel blessed to have my dad in such a caring environment.

We cannot say enough good things about Amber Lights and the truly exceptional team there. When my mom suffered a stroke and my stepdad was already living with advanced dementia, our family was facing an incredibly stressful and emotional time. From the very first contact, Kelly and Sandy stood out as compassionate, professional, and genuinely caring people who went far above and beyond to help us. Kelly and Sandy jumped through hoops to get both of my parents set up together in a lovely two-bedroom apartment. They moved quickly and efficiently to accommodate my parents at different levels of care, making what could have been a chaotic transition feel supported and manageable. They even took the time to drive to the rehab hospital to meet my mom personally before she moved in ” that personal touch meant the world to us and helped her feel more at ease about the change. On top of coordinating the move, they helped us find reliable movers and in-home nursing support for my stepdad in the days leading up to his arrival at Amber Lights. Their kindness, patience, and willingness to problem-solve every step of the way made all the difference during one of the hardest chapters of our lives. Amber Lights has beautiful grounds and a welcoming resort-like atmosphere, but what truly makes it special is the heart of the staff. I don’t currently have any clients at Amber Lights, but I have toured with Kelly several times and not only is he informative, but he is also a joy to be around. Amber Lights offers aging in place, which means you can stay in your apartment from independent to assisted living. They have a beautiful campus with gorgeous views out each and every window. Tons of activities and their staff loves where they work because they never leave! Ask Kelly, he knows how long everyone has worked there and it is one of the things they are most proud of.

Amber Lights is an outstanding assisted living home! It is like a resort! They have outstanding care givers!!! No where is perfect but Amber Lights is the best! My husband and i were able to stay together to the end! Food is great, activities are wonderful! You can be alone if you want or there is always someone around and most of the time something fun to do! Update 10/14/25- if you are looking for an assisted living place or independent home Amber Lights is the place. Awesome place. Staff, residents, food and upkeep 5 stars. Kelly, was great. Small units, especially the kitchens. Number of baths in the 2 bedroom unit is only 1.5. There are no 2 full baths, which was important to us. They are small. I don't think you could get a wheel chair in them and move around. It's unfortunate because they have a lot to offer.

Both of my parents lived in Amber Lights. The care that they both received to the end was 10 Stars. My father-in-law is in need of assisted living and we took him there. He spent a lot of time there visiting my parents and he knows how good it is. Our tour with Kelly was also 10 Stars. He's perfect for his position and I felt that way about all of the staff. My hope is he will decide to go there. I am very grateful for Amber Lights, to me other places don't compare.

We couldn’t be more grateful for Amber Lights. There was so much uncertainty and so many questions about assistive/independent living. The staff were wonderful guiding us through a very uncertain time finding a new home for Boompa. We were impressed with the building, individual apartments, grounds, activities, dining hall, but it was the friendly and experienced staff that made us realize Amber Lights was the right place. It has been 6 months and there are no regrets only deep appreciation to have a supportive, inviting environment on this journey.

Amber Lights was terrific for our senior Hospice relative. Actually, his parents, unknown in our decision, were very happy there, a few years earlier. . The staff was so accommodating, positive & kind. It seemed they all worked together to make their residents comfortable, busy if able & had an active entertaining schedule for all. My parents were understandably hesitant to leave their independently owned condo a couple years ago, but their needs were increasing and when they looked at Amber Lights with my siblings it was clear that it was going to be a great next step for them. Since moving to Amber Lights, my dad's care needs have increased and the staff and support system there has met and exceeded what we could have expected. The apartment is light and airy and appealing. The community is supportive and welcoming. And when my dad recently had to go to the hospital, he was welcomed back to his home with enthusiasm and care for his new requirements. Also, of course, there are efforts at making comforts and fun easily available -- live music, chair yoga, games of all sorts, seminars, and on and on. There are inevitable challenges to growing older. With a community of friends and professionals like the ones found at Amber Lights, the changes can be made a bit easier to weather.

We highly recommend Amber Lights! A friend told us how wonderful Amber Lights is, they were so right ! We moved our Dad here after the horrible care he received in a rehab facility. Kelly, the sales manager, was so empathic and kind. He promised us that our Dad would have the best care around the clock. Nurse Sandy and her caregiver staff have been there for years, some over 10 year. Marbella and Troy were amazing, kind, caring, respectful, listened and truly cared about our fathers well being! Anytime he/we rang for assistance, they were there in a minute with more than one person. Our goal for our father was to live in a peaceful, caring place, and Amber Lights was certainly that. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are quiet and cozy. The dinning room is beautiful and the food is delicious! We believe this is the best home for our father in the area, and this was confirmed by every staff member we met. Thank you Amber Lights for being there for our family.

My 82-year-old Aunt was a resident of Amber Lights for almost a year. During her stay she was treated with respect and dignity. The entire staff engages with all residents in a friendly loving manner. The nursing and front office staff worked with me by answering my questions or concerns immediately. My Aunt loved the dining room, daily activities, and the special events with music etc. When I would visit, I felt a sense of family with the employees. They truly care about the residents. When my aunt passed away, the staff was there for her and myself to help with the process. I am so grateful her last year of life was spent in a loving, caring home (assisted living residence). We separated our parents over the summer because they need different levels of care, that they can't provide for each other. It was really hard. The sales staff at Amber Lights went way and above what you'd expect from, well, anyone really. We had access to their cell phone and they would respond to texts over the weekend. It was such a help to have them supporting the whole family, not just our parents. Once they were settled in their new apartments (right across the hall from each other!) we discovered that the sales team wasn't the only incredible team there. Everyone from the aides, to the nursing staff, to the front desk, to the dining room staff goes out of their way to support our parents, and not only just know their names but know them as people, their quirks, their schedule and routing, their likes and dislikes. It is truly amazing and we feel REALLY blessed to have found them. And the food is great too!

This senior living facility has the most AMAZING staff and I cannot say enough about how well they have taken care of my 88 year old mother! After my Dad passed away, my sweet Mom lived alone for a bit. A dear friend invited her for lunch at Amber Lights and immediately she was sold. My Mom has been residing at Amber Lights for a year now and she is living her best life! She has a busy and fun social life at Amber Lights, which is all organized and run by the facility. The variety of activities really impresses me! My Mom is so well taken care of, she's happy, EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE greets her by name and the fabulous dining staff all know her likes and dislikes and she doesn't have to ask for hot water every morning for her tea - they just bring it. The on-site nursing staff is tremendous and the front desk is crazy efficient. We have such peace of mind knowing our Mom is in such good hands at Amber Lights. Go visit! You'll see exactly what I mean.

Amber Lights provided excellent care for my 95-year-old mother and I recommend them without hesitation. While her stay was short, just two weeks, her care was outstanding. All the staff without exception were caring, personable, and capable. The nursing direction under Sandy was excellent. My mother was a difficult case having come from a rehab nursing facility after a week in the hospital due to a compression fracture in her vertebrae. The rehab facility was terrible (a 0 star review for them) so my mother arrived needing lots of care. The incompetence of the rehab facilities' discharge and transfer process caused several significant problems. Amber Lights staff went above and beyond expectations to solve the problems the rehab facility caused. Amber Lights did not hesitate to take my mother even though she needed a high level of care and they immediately provided the care she needed. Other assisted living facilities we talked with would not provide that level of service. My mother soon had a stroke and we found she likely had advanced breast cancer that had not been diagnosed. Instead of recovery and a long-term stay, we had to switch to end of life care. Amber Lights worked seamlessly with hospice so my mother's last few days were comfortable. Communication from the beginning was excellent. People answer the phone or get back to you quickly. From our first contact with Kelly, the sales director, we had confidence in the organization. All the staff certainly earned that confidence over the next several weeks.

May dad lived his last 3.5 years there (my mom about 6 months--non-preventable heart attack). He went from independent (originally entering with my mom with higher needs) to highly dependent over that span, including having in-home hospice services the last 9 months related to dementia and cancer. He was helped by many caring and effective staff employed by Amber Lights, also well cared for by doctors and other health providers (nurses, PT, OT) employed at other agencies that would come in and deliver services on site. The setting is relatively large--a smaller group home environment might be more comfortable to some, particularly if just one person already in a very high need state--but it worked out very well for my parents and their transitions. Very good food and activities, and they plan well for holidays and such (inclusive towards families and large groups coming in). I would drop in multiple times a week throughout these years. I had concerns here and there particularly as my dad reached very high need states and my mom had already passed, I found the staff responsive to my concerns. (note: in most large places you have different wings or buildings for different levels of care, and then you would have to move to unfamiliar apartments or buildings at each stage of need, and it is a challenge if a couple enter and they are in different places health-wise)
