I went in for a tour, and Mikayla was very friendly and helpful. She introduced me to a few staff members, showed me the rooms, and explained the admission process for my grandmother in a way that was easy to understand. She answered all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. Choosing a nursing home has been overwhelming over the past few days, but she made the process much less stressful. The facility was clean, and everyone I met was welcoming. I really appreciated Mikayla taking the time to help me and making the experience a positive one.

I recently visited and was super impressed with the facility and staff. Everyone was nice and welcoming, ensuring quality service. They also renovated their rehab room not too long ago, and it’s exciting to see how this will take both their clients and company further.

The nurses, therapists, and support staff goes above and beyond to make family feel comfortable and cared for every step of the way. The facility is clean, well-organized, and welcoming, and the level of professionalism is outstanding. If I could give any more stars I would!

My relative came here not too long ago for skilled therapy. The staff was so kind and helpful and the nurses really cared for my love one attentively. I would definetly recommend this facility regardless of the rating. Based on my experience this is an easy 5 star, but the facility is a 4 star location, and there is room for growth in that matter, but everything is trending in the right direction to excel. It all starts with the quality of people in the building and that’s what matters most !

I do not know what all the negative fuss is about with regard to reviews of this facility. I've only been here about 17 hours now and you can expect more reviews from me as I go think about the following along. I am a senior citizen who has experienced three Strokes who has been given a very good introduction for many reasons to the Earl one; think about the following: I came in about 5:30 p.m. and was brought to my room eventually. The first Contact was with a CNA or a certified nurse's assistant who came in and asked me how things were. I greeted her warmly and so did she and immediately we began having common fun together. Later because I had a bad cough I was given Robitussin by the Night Nurse the next morning, Kevin who is the head of dietary came in with an iPad and asked me lots of questions about what my food preferences are. That was very helpful indeed. Every time I had a question or press the button or calling somebody they came quickly and answering my questions or gave me what was needed. When I asked for one of my pain medications early in the morning, he immediately said he would give it to me at that time and would just tell the incoming nurse not to give me the 9:00 a.m. dosage but to wait until the next one at noon or 1:00 p.m. everybody has been friendly and what do I have to complain about? Up to this point, absolutely nothing! As an elderly male I am relieved to be in a place where I feel safe and I am receiving such good care, stay tuned for the next installment! Review number 2 a number of days and weeks have passed so there is much too much to share. The main thrust is what is most important, rehabilitation services. I am talking about speech, physical, occupational therapies. All of the professionals have been outstanding in treating me as an individual where I am at and helping to bring me to a better place. I have no severe criticisms that would justify anything other than maximum star review!

I arrived just a few days ago. I’m very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility, as well as the caring staff. Sure it can get a bit loud at times, yet that goes with all nursing facilities. After all, the people that are here may be in pain, or dealing with other issues. We can always have our doors closed if it gets too loud. I have noise canceling headphones as well when needed. We need to find ways to deal with things instead of complain. Your loved ones should have regular visits to ensure they know you care. It certainly helps me with my mood.. Since I stopped feeling nauseous, the food has been pretty good. All the staff including RNs, LVNs and CNAS have been very caring and responsive. I will leave more reviews as my days continue here. I have had the most wonderful experience at the Earlwood Center, a stellar skilled nursing facility in Torrance, CA. Every encounter I experienced whether it was the nursing staff, gymnastics instructors, therapists, office personnel as well as those involved with the dining program have been fantastic and very rewarding and helpful towards my continued healing and wound care. Patients can take a break and enjoy a variety of different activities from movies to crafts, table games, discussions, painting and exercise.

Wow! These ratings and reviews! Here's my honest opinion. My Father is currently staying here for physical therapy and observation. This is the second time in a month he has been transferred from Torrance Memorial Hospital to a transitional care facility. If you are comparing this, or any transitional care facility to Torrance Memorial, then a 5 star rating is a bit high, but Torrance Memorial Hospital is seriously an exceptional facility. If you or your loved ones have never had to go to a transitional care facility, then you may be in for a little bit of a shock. The staff here at The Earlwood have all been so nice and attentive to my Father. They gave me a call to let me know that he arrived from Torrance Memorial and was settled in. His meals have been prepared keeping his dietary restrictions in mind and the facility is clean and uncluttered (especially when compared to his last facility on Maple Ave). There is no physical therapist on the weekends, but the staff came by to walk my Dad around a few times a day. They have given him his meds and checked his vitals as scheduled and check in on him regularly. My Father is happy with The Earlwood facility. I asked him. His last facility (Royal Woods on Maple) "felt like a jail" in his words. The 5 star rating came from my Father. He is very easy going and not demanding at all. This is a great attitude for any patient admitted (and their family members) to adopt while staying in any care facility.

My father was at The Earlwood a couple of times this past year. All the staff was very nice and helpful. The physical therapy that he got was very good, it helped him a lot, with regaining his strength. He is able to walk, stand and move much better, because of their efforts to help him do so. Thank you for all your help.

The staff at Earlwood works hard and does a really tough job. The food is pretty good (I tried it a couple of times), they have a lot of staff, and the linens are clean. My mom was there for over month and they did everything they could for her. Elderly people tend to complain a lot in any of these places, so don't be suprised. It is easy to take your frustrations about you loved one's condition out on these places and any decline isn't their fault. I appreciated their help. They do need better bathrooms and larger TVs for the patients.

Many people say bad things about this place ,but my aunt was here and I visited her often there are many people here who care and are very kind to the patients,from my experience my aunt received decent care here and I got to meet some of the staff.we all know there is no place like home..my aunt passed away 01.09.2023 at 7.30pm may she rest in peace

This place is so run down it’s disgusting, some staff members are ok and the rest need some help with their beside manner .. the patients are so close together I could sit in the chair next to my Mom and put my elbow on the neighbors bed .. i would never recommend this place . And 2 stars is pushing it !!

The staff, equipment and supplies are great! My dad has been extremely happy with it all. While the building and some furniture need a face lift, I and my dad have had a great experience thus far. They have been flexible and accommodating during this COVID-19 situation.

I visited this place 2 times in the last month and both times I was disappointed because the place wreaked burning smoky sage or incense. I was taken a back because there are residents who are on oxygen and I felt like that was harmful to their heath. I this legal?

After reading the reviews, I have been surprised at the quality of care my elderly aunt is receiving. The nurses, aides, and PT people are kind, caring and responsive. The food is actually pretty decent and much better than rehab facilities my aunt has been in the past. And the doctor responded to a medical issue that arose and directed the care to resolve it. Important here, as in other facilities, to help your family member settle in by being around a lot the first day or two to help them orient, figure out how the tv channels correlate to home channels, and help the staff to understand their particular needs.
