Best in class! From day one when I helped open Silverado in St. Charles, I knew it was something special and even now after moving on with my career, I still think fondly of the Nexus program, the demand for extraordinary and exceptional memory care, and simply a beautiful environment that cares for it's residents. Silverado sets the standard for what memory care should look like and sound like. Memory care is Silverado's expertise and it shows. They hire staff for their heart and it shows. The architecture of this building was created for those living with a dementia diagnosis and it shows. I highly recommend that you tour this community and get to know the staff and families. You are in for a blessing, rest assured!

My Mom has been a resident in Silverado St. Charles since 6/24/24. Myself and my family could not be happier about her care. Every staff member from Jill the Administrator, clinical staff, to the receptionist have been supportive, professional, attentive and compassionate. All administrative communications, requests etc. have been handled swiftly and efficiently. I researched 7 other facilities these past 10 months and found Silverado checks all the boxes and has helped Mom adjust tremendously well. Mom is settling in and she seems happy and at peace and so is her whole family. Thank you.

My husband entered Silverado St. Charles 5 months ago from a memory care facility that was unable to care for his level of stress and behavior. Silverado's care made a marked difference, he is now sleeping well and we are not receiving weekly calls asking us to help settle him. The staff is professional and personal. Residents are treated with kindness and respect. We have eaten meals with him several times and have always found the food to be delicious. The residents have many activities geared to their interests and abilities. We visit several times a week and have never come to find him sitting in his room. We enjoy the Bistro with him for a cup of coffee when we are visiting. Most of all, we appreciate the staff, their kindness and concern for each resident is evident.

My dad moved to Silverado 5 months ago from another facility that was struggling to meet his care needs. We are very happy with the care my dad is receiving here. Staff is very professional, caring, and nurturing, with a lot of communication. They have an upbeat, happy tone caring for Dad with love. From day one every staff member from the administrative staff, the CNAs and nurses, to the activities directors, and even the maintenance and janitorial staff, speak to him by name with respect. They have house pets including a dog, birds, and fish, giving it a nice homey feeling. Their daily activities are done at a variety of levels to accommodate all residents at their personal level, and they keep dad occupied with many activities daily. Meals are good food, prepared with personal dietary needs in mind. The chef met with us to ensure he knew my dad's likes and needs. They have separate areas where they can sit and listen to the radio or TV, and if the weather is nice, they can go and sit on the patio outside. We have never visited and found him in his room. Dad is very happy and feels settled at Silverado.

We moved my loved one to Silverado Memory Care 5 months ago after moving her out of another memory care facility that told us they were "not set up" for this kind of care. Our loved one has been diagnosed with 4 different forms of dementia, and while it's certainly not easy, Silverado's staff is FULLY trained to handle ANYTHING that comes their way. Their organization was founded by scientific research and development that can be seen throughout in this facility on a daily basis. From the administrative staff, to the CNAs and nurses, to the activities directors, and even the maintenance and janitorial staff, every staff member at Silverado genuinely cares for the residents and has made it their life mission to properly care for the people that reside there. My loved one had to move twice before finding the proper care she needed. I have toured many memory care facilities and have spoken with the directors of at least a dozen facilities across northern Illinois, and by far, Silverado offers the most comprehensive care plan for those suffering with memory loss or dementia. The entire team of doctors, geriatric specialists and nursing staff are fully trained in this type of care and management. Yes, Silverado is probably the most expensive of all the places we have been to, but the PROPER care of our loved one is what matters most, and the old adage "you get what you pay for" could not apply more in this particular case. While I'm not familiar with their basic or intermediate levels of care, I can highly recommend Silverado to anyone who is in need of advanced dementia care.

Silverado Memory Care is amazing! Silverado Memory Care came as a recommendation to me, Silverado reached out to me and understood my sense of urgency, they were happy to meet with me for a tour and discussing the process of the transition. This quick yet thoughtful connection helped ease my concerns and I was relieved to find a great place for my loved one. During the tour I was given detailed information on all aspects of care such as daily programs, meals, rooms, family involvement, medical care and advanced care once the time comes. I really appreciated their communication to me and reassurance of how the transition process would go, during my loved one's initial days at Silverado they were great about updating me on the transition process. My loved one has been at Silverado for a little over 5 months now and during this time I have formed good relationships with the associates at Silverado, they are great at welcoming family members into the community. During this time I have learned about Silverado's activities program that is science based to help with memory care, I strongly recommend an in depth conversation on the details and how it can e edit your lives one. The activities staff are great, they get to know each resident and learn their strengths and weaknesses and are truly an integral piece for my loved one's care and comfort. My loved one has also received much needed therapies and I love that the therapists are onsite and have communicated with me on this process. I have enjoyed many of events at Silverado, I love that they host various events and invite family members, it is great so we can be with our loved ones. There is also many events available to support family members through this process, that is so great for the family. I also feel their Covid response is appropriate, it takes steps to protect residents but still allows for visiting in the appropriate manner. I feel so lucky to have found Silverado and have this community for my loved one and myself.

As a Geriatric Care Manager I work with clients in many assisted living communities and can attest that the staff at Silverado St. Charles are truly amazing. The corporate protocol is to train ALL employees (including housekeeping and dietary) how to interact with residents with Dementia and deescalate issues when a resident is having an intense behavioral expression of emotions. This makes for a much calmer environment for the residents. The team gets to know the resident on a personal level to be able to understand and facilitate conversations about people, places and other things that are important to the resident. They go out of their way to make their environment as home like as possible and if there are issues that arise, the staff goes above and beyond to correct the issue and accommodate the residents.

Silverado is an amazing, warm, welcoming facility. Once you've been to Silverado, you're family. The employees truly care about and enrich the lives of each and every resident. The administration team is phenomenal! The level of communication is top notch. There are regular care plan meetings and the team follows through with anything discussed. There are supportive meetings for family members. Every single person who works there has a strong work ethic and wants the best for your loved one. I've had the pleasure of experiencing Silverado for almost two years now. I have also experienced several other local facilities recently and Silverado is hands down the best place in the area. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Silverado St. Charles is top of the line when it comes to dementia care. This is not just a community for those with memory care needs. There are over 400 types of dementia and Silverado trains their staff in a way to recognize and support these variances instead of training their team to ONLY manage the needs of those with Alzheimer's disease - this takes a lot of stress away from primary care givers and family members. We witness the staff gently redirecting our loved one, treating her with dignity, recognizing and celebrating who she was before the disease and who she is now, stimulating her mentally, and generally providing compassionate and loving care. This has a lot to do with the current administration in place and how strong the Silverado St. Charles care team is. The facility is new, beautiful, all on one floor (makes us feel good in case of emergencies), and a calm and peaceful place. Leadership is responsive and communicative with families and they did a great job of explaining their positions and thought behind COVID19 changes to processes and procedures. We as family members felt part of the solution and part of defining what the new normal is for our loved one. My family and I highly recommend Silverado St. Charles if you are looking for a safe and caring community for your loved one where they are respected and dignified.

I have experienced many memory care communities. Silverado, St. Charles is the best by far. The best meals, the best leadership, the best philosophy and they truly follow that LOVE> fear. They embrace each individual for what they bring to the community, residents and associates alike. Silverado puts your money where it counts. You don't have the CNA serving food and fixing the air conditioner all in the same hour and then doing the dishes like other facilities. They have a separate culinary staff and each meal is so filling. A separate engagement dept. and a housekeeping dept. This gives the CNA and all the associates more quality time with each resident. Silverado has also been proactive on the Covid front. The leadership meets everyday to discuss how the community can be set up to make it better and safer for all. As far as memory care...this is the only place I would trust to take care of my loved one. Thank You , Silverado!

When looking for a memory care for my friend I knew it had to be top of the line. The first impression is it's like a beautiful ski lodge. It also had to have good fun friendly and caring people as my friend can be a little feisty. From day one I have been so impressed with their ability to redirect her from having a bad day to a good one. This pandemic has been a testament to how well this facility is run, no cases of COVID and from what I've seen the residents are well taken care of and smiling. My only criticism was the food but they have taken care of that with a new chef! My friend has been there for 1-1/2 years.

Silverado St. Charles is a fantastic community with great caretakers and leadership. From the moment my sisters and I visited we knew this was the right place for our mom who has FTD. Our mom has been in four communities now and the Silverado St. Charles is by far the best. They are attentive, caring, clean and have done a great job keeping our family up to date since we can't visit during the COVID-19 pandemic. Leadership is very present and does a great job communicating with families. I would highly recommend for any family looking for a safe and caring community for their family member facing memory issues.

My dad has lived at Silverado since September of 2018. The staff have treated him with nothing but respect and compassion. He is extremely difficult and not always easy to care for. They look beyond that and love him for who he is. They have made my life so much easier. They update me when necessary but never bother me with things they can handle.
