My family is sincerely grateful that we were led to Shadow Mountain Memory Care. My mother and father were living in a facility that offered Independent/ Assisted and Memory Care services. Although they offered a variety of services they did not perform any of the services well. When my father was in need of Memory Care services, he was placed behind a locked door. What happened behind that door was a tragedy. Two care givers for 40 patients?? No personalized care!! We were in need of a desperate change and a new solution. Shadow Mountain Memory Care was highly recommended. We chose SMMC after touring 5 other facilities that offered Memory Care services. The difference was night and day. My father was welcomed with open arms on day 1 and has received personalized care each and every day he has been there. The care providers are outstanding...they truly care about the patients they are servicing. Misty and her team are always pleasant to deal with and always willing to have conversations to improve care. We are so thankful that our Father is at SMMC. At SMMC he has peace, safety, security and socialization and is living his best life.

This community does an outstanding job of providing care for their residents. As a Senior Living Advisor, I tour communities with families looking for a home for their loved one facing the challenges of Alzheimer's/dementia. Every member of the staff has been trained in the best way to interact with those suffering from memory loss, so they are treated with dignity and respect. I would strongly recommend Shadow Mountain Memory Care for those considering a memory care community for their loved one.

I LOVE Shadow Mountain Memory Care! This facility has welcomed both my husband, who suffers from early onset Alzheimer's, and myself with open arms, we feel like we're part of a family there. You feel the uplifting energy immediately as you step inside, always welcomed with smiles, and hugs, too, if you need them. The willingness to accommodate individual needs with creative solutions is unsurpassed, which has been extremely important for my husband to be able to settle in. This is a little piece of Heaven for anyone suffering from Alzheimer's or dementia, I easily give this facility 5 stars.

Shadow Mountain Memory Care is a wonderful place. It was purpose built for Memory Care. The staff and activities are unmatched. Your loved one will be well taken care of and they even have a support group for family members because they recognize that you are going through this also. This is a great option if you are in need of a memory care facility. My father spent his last few months there after being at another home which described itself as "memory care" but clearly was not. This is the real deal if you need memory care. I never had to worry about my father at Shadow Mountain, the staff was wonderful and friendly, and they were always accommodating when he had visitors.

My husband and I sing at various memory care and retirement centers in the metro Phoenix area. Shadow Mountain Memory Care in Phoenix, is one of the most caring places that we have performed at. The staff is so genuine, caring and loving towards the residents. It is touching to see the staff encourage, hug them, make them smile and laugh, dance with them, and interact with them in the most caring ways. I would highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone who is looking to place their parent, who may be needing care due to memory issues, in a very safe and loving environment.

Love this memory care facility. They treated my mother like a Queen. The care that all the individuals get is top notch. The activities are daily, food is excellent and the facility itself is sanitized and clean. I highly recommend this environment for your loved one.

The staff and facilities are superlative. These people cared for my mom for the last five years of her life, which I can proudly say were some good years for her in spite of her dementia. She always had a smile on her face when I would go to visit her. There was always great music, events, and activities that my mom loved. She made some wonderful friends when she was there and I did, as well. I'll never forget some of the happiest times I ever had with my mother at Shadow Mountain. I can't thank these people enough for their loving care of my mom and for treating me like family.

This community is extraordinary. What they promise you is exactly what you get and who they seem to be is exactly who they are. This is the one time when "if it seems too good to be true" it actually IS true. This is important to know because our past experiences with finding a place for my beautiful dad had been nightmarish. Some facilities and homes can tell you they are "dementia experts" and residents can "age in place". But can they? These places can tell you they have activities, awake staff and proper meals, but do they? Our aging parents do not come with instruction books, just like our babies didn't, and it is foreign and scary and it is hard to trust anyone with this person you love. But, we have found the perfect place in Shadow Mountain. Every single person is a caring professional, be it the medical staff, the administration, the activities director, the chef, the Maintenance fellow, all of them...they all care for these people and know them. They see them. There are appropriate activities designed for each resident. There are gatherings and celebrations. My dad has a significantly better social life than I do and this is a good thing. There are carefully prepared meals and snacks and so much music and dancing. And the communication is so outstanding, I have finally slept knowing my dad is safe and content and happy. They are loving and kind and it is easy to tell they are devoted to these precious people. My dad has actually improved with their care and attention and I highly recommend this community if you find yourself seeking additional support for your loved one. I am forever grateful we have been lucky enough to become a part of the Shadow Mountain family.
