I have a dear friend who is at the Terrace at Woodland in Rome, NY. After my first visit in September 2025, I was so impressed by the facility. I had asked about the certifications in the different areas and was free to check them out. The first impression I got was the cleanliness and how cheerful it was.This November 2025 my friend moved in and his room is absolutely beautiful. There was no question the Woodlands was the place to be. Monica Moylan, the administrator went above and beyond to make the transition as easy as possible with the help of her assistant Alisson Baldwin. I came back to visit this spring 2026 and again had such a wonderful feeling there again . Each department runs so smoothly to include the nursing staff, kitchen staff and cleaning staff. The Terrace is one that really cares about the residents living there. The kindness and care each person gets is tailored for that individual. (I was in the area of teaching special education for 35 years, now retired. My knowledge and observation of what the various services each individual receives or requires is extensive) Under the direction of Monica Moylan the offices of each separate areas are busy, busy coordinating personalized assistance which makes each individual feel comfortable and respected. Every area is the building is used and there is something going on for everyone. I am so pleased with my friends’ care and support given. I would not hesitate to recommend The Terrace at Woodland in Rome to other family members, friends or their family members. The food is fresh and excellently prepared. Every person is accounted for and no one goes without food and of course desserts! Cable is included in the fees as well as other benefits which occupies down time for the resident . The nursing staff is very knowledgeable about medication and what and who it’s for. I noticed that the staff was fortunately able to help in any area when necessary. Many thanks to everyone there who interacts with the residents and especially Monica Moylan and Alisson Baldwin who makes the Tearrace community what it is - excellent!

So happy my Mom is at The Terrace at Woodland! It was a tough decision to move her to assisted living , but choosing the Terrace at Woodland was a great choice. The staff there treat her like she is family, and I can think of so many instances where they have gone above and beyond to give her the best care. We can communicate with the staff if there are ever any issues, and our concerns are addressed in a timely manner. My entire family is grateful to all the staff there for the great atmosphere they create and the loving care they give to my Mom and all the residents!
