My mother lived at The Lodge for just under 3 years. We had previous positive experience with other Five Star Living (the parent company) facilities. The staff is wonderful and responsive. No place is perfect, but any concerns we ever had were addressed quickly and to our satisfaction. Denise and her crew to a wonderful job -- my mom loved it here and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to properly provide a safe and caring living arrangement for aging parents.

In the past year, I have had the opportunity to attend many of the events, The Lodge Assisted Living and Memory Care Community has put on. I think it's great the things that the Lodge community does for their residents and even their employees. The events are thought out and well planned, and very much attended not only by The Lodge but the Carson City community. One of the best ones was when they had the fall festival last October and we did a lot of scarecrow stuffing, face painting, and even dunking the Executive Director in a dunk tank. I hear they're having a big Spring Fling next month so I'm gonna be sure to come to that one as well. I love attending these events and helping as much as they'll let me as a small extension of service to my senior community that live at The Lodge. If you get a chance check it out. Victoria is the Sales and Marketing Director and will answer any and all questions you might have. They may be full right now, but see Victoria and get on the waiting list. You'll love it!

I took my mother n law to the facility to possibly look at getting her an apartment . I have viewed many communities prior but was very impressed on what The Lodge had to offer . Everyone in the facility was kind and compassionate and they were very quick to answer all questions I had . The cleanliness of the community was great and all and all we had a great experience. I still cherish the pictures and videos that were taken of my mom and all of her friends. My mom lived at the lodge for the last years of her life. At first, she was afraid that she would not make friends and wouldn't get through the depression of losing her longtime husband. We found very friendly staff, they all called her by her name. She introduced me to Thomas several times, as she really liked him. My mother was able to have a great life! She had a few special friends. She had a new life. My mom and her friends would sit in the windows on the third floor to watch everyone! Very soon after she came to the Lodge, she had a life and lots of fun. My sister and I were happy because she was safe. She was able to keep her cat with her in her room. She would not have been able to leave her cat behind. Hannah was her constant companion. My mom also became good friends with Denise. They formed a special friendship. Denise helped my sister and I at the end of my mom's life. The Lodge staff made us feel special in so many ways.

I have been coming to this community for a few months as their Account Manager and I can't say nothing but good stuff! The place is clean and well-decorated. The staff are friendly and helpful even when I call to check-in if things are going well or if they need anything. Vilma is very passionate on what she does. It was my first time meeting Denise, Administrator a week ago during my recent visit and she made me feel like I have known her for a while. She is an amazing leader to her staff.

Our family looked long and hard for a facility for our parents. We came across the Lodge and were impressed from the start. We moved the parents in. My father had Alzheimer's and the lodge worked with us when it was time to go to memory care. When my father passed shortly after going to memory care, the staff were amazing. My mother remained in assisted living until a few months ago when she also had to go to memory care. That staff worked with us when we thought it was time for memory care and helped her in assisted living until there was a room available in memory care. The constant throughout all of our experiences and changes at the Lodge has been the staff. They are amazing. This is a tough job, especially when dealing with those in assisted living who are waiting for memory care rooms or those who are in memory care, and they all handle it so well. Think about a group of adult sized toddlers who have forgotten how to eat, forgotten potty training, are asking 18 million questions and repeating them every 5 minutes because they can't remember the answers and are adamant about escaping the facility and you have a description of some days in memory care. I can't call out everyone but Cassie in assisted living, Courtney in Memory Care and Vilma, who manages memory care are just 3 of the fantastic staff at the Lodge. They all take this job personally and are willing to go the extra mile to take care of residents and communicate with families We were worried about moving the parents into a facility and the Lodge has not only alleviated that worry but made us comfortable taking vacations and going out of town for weekends because we know our parent is well taken care of and safe. Thank you to all the Staff at the Lodge, you are greatly appreciated.

We participated in The Lodge's 5th annual car show. It was our first but definitely not our last. The staff, residents, participants, and attendees were some of the most amazing people. The hospitality was spectacular. The staff really made you feel like part of the family. A special shout out to Connie Alarcon! She did a fantastic job planning, promoting, and hosting the car show. We wouldn't have been able to participate if it wasn't for her. She really is the mastermind behind it all! The highlight of the day was getting to hear the residents' memories of their own cars. Definetly one of the BEST car shows in Northern Nevada!!! If you get the opportunity to go, don't pass it up! My only regret is not going for the prior years.

I had looked for a memory care for my dad, due to having Alzheimer's. I cannot tell you how impressed I am in choosing The Lodge. I am so grateful for all the help with setting up everything for my dad from the management and office staff. The memory care staff are so amazing and so very helpful and truly have compassion for all residents. This is such a challenging job for all staff. They care for my dad so well. Vilma who is the head of memory care is such a wonderful and special person. She is so understanding and loving to all residents. They all work so hard. This is the perfect Home for my dad. I am so relieved knowing how well my dad is being taken care of. It really feels like a nice family that cares for one another. I cannot thank the staff and management enough. I am new in this area. I volunteered in a couple places in the area trying to find a good place to apply for a job. I came to The Lodge Assisted Living and Memory care; since the very first day, I found out this was the place I wanted to work for. I volunteered for a few months and now I can proudly say I am a caregiver at The Lodge. It has been a great experience starting with the managers; thank you Denise the executive director, Thomas Human Resources, Lindsay director of resident care. All wonderful people ! encouraged me as a volunteer showing me all my talents, that I wasn't even aware I had. Thank you Vilma the Bridge to rediscovery director for sharing your knowledge with us for showing us all the time the best way to do things for all the residents. The love everyone show to the residents , the respect the dignity it is beyond words. I encourage people to come and check up the Lodge there are a million reasons why this is the best senior facility in the area.

I have had the privilege of working at The Lodge since December. In that time, I have been able to see the daily interactions between the staff and residents. I have been able to get to know the residents and their families and they are great. The bond that is formed between staff and residents is truly special. To name just a few of the awesome staff, Connie and Joanne do an amazing job with activities and I have seen them go door to door trying to get as many residents as possible out of their apartments and socializing. The Med Techs and Resident Assistants (RA) do a great job of helping each resident when they need it. Memory Care is also a very special place. The Manager Vilma is amazing with the residents and holds the staff there to the highest standard. We have a lot of fun here, between parties and other weekly activities and events, I am proud to be a part of the little family that grows within these walls.

My job brings me into The Lodge at least once a week. I've been going there just about 4 years now and I feel qualified to post a honest, professional review. There's something special at The Lodge, you FEEL it the minute you walk through the doors. There is always someone at the front desk. It was Stacy who has been promoted to the Business Office (they promote within)! Now you will more than likely run into Heather who is wonderful. Many times I've come in and you hear laughter and upbeat voices coming from the Administer, Denise Iwertz's office. My favorite welcome at The Lodge is when Stella the administrators Papillon is "working". ! She is the sweetest greeter ever. The clients I care For are always in good spirits and very excited about an upcoming event that Connie and Becka have planned. The caregivers, resident assistants and med techs work very hard and many have been there pre COVID and they keep coming to work and putting their best efforts first. It is such a comfort th know that there is a facility that has consistent staffing, a happy and uplifting environment and wonderful people that live there The Lodge now has a nurse, Michelle who's been there for around a year and has done some wonderful things like wellness talks and is always out helping her staff or talking with a client. I would recommend The Lodge above any other facility in Carson City and the Reno area. I always leave happier than when I enter!

My mother was a resident in the Memory Care Unit. Prior to moving to Memory Care, she suffered panic attacks sometimes multiple times a week. After moving to Memory Care, her panic attacks abated because, I believe, she was comforted knowing there was staff around her 24/7. While she was living in Memory Care and right before she passed, staff members went above and beyond in her care. They showed her great care and consideration. All the staff on the unit are to be commended for their care of the residents including my mother, but I'd like to recognize three of the staff: Velma Urroz, Katie Easton and Elsa Tizani for their exceptional care of my mother, Johanna.

I personally have watched The Lodge over the years really transform to one of our greatest communities for seniors. The staff are excellent and they really go the extra mile to make this community a fun place and safe place to reside. With the care plans they develop, the partners the work with and facility team, they really do provide a great impact our community and seniors. They always try hard to host fun events for their residents as well. I've helped and have participated in many of them. Their care and compassion is definitely above board and extraordinary. With all the chaos during COVID they really tried extra hard to think out of the box to help the residents and their families get through this difficult time in a safe and compassionate way. With the great leadership in their administrator and several other leaders in this facility, I would definitely consider placing my family here and would know that they would be taken care of with love and dignity. I had the pleasure of first speaking with Becka at The Lodge. She's one of those sweet ladies, that would go on beyond her duties to help me move my 92 year old mother. I'm a matter of a few weeks, my mother was moved in. She needed help to find the dinning room, no problem staff was there to assist her in anyway. My mother always talked to me about her caregivers. She would go on and on about everything they did for her. Unfortunately, my mother took ill and was placed on Hospice. My head swirling and trying to figure out my next move. Hospice was wonderful! However, The Lodge was spectacular. I asked, Paula one of the charge nurses, was this something they could handle or should I consider a Skilled nursing facility. First thing came out of her mouth was. "We got this" and told me they will be able to care for my mom until the end. As time got closer to her leaving this earth. I was in constant communication with the Staff at The Lodge with call or emails. And as always, I would receive a warm, "We're here for you" call us anytime day or night, and I did and always was greeted cheerful and with the upmost respect. Sadly, my mom passed a few weeks ago. Nothing changed with this wonder group. Denise and Thomas came into my mom's room and gave their sincere condolences. Fighting back my tears and giving Denise a hug, I noticed she had tears in her eyes. In ending this, I felt Blessed to have found The Lodge. You will never see any of the employees without a smile on their face. I was amazed that they always remembered my name. That says a lot about this establishment. The Lodge claims to be 5 stars. This is wrong they are a 10+ star facility. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such great care of my mom "Two Beer Tudy" her fun nickname. I will miss my friends at The Lodge. In January I found out I would need to move my mother from Assisted Living in California to Carson City where I reside. I toured several Assisted Living facilities and The Lodge checked all my boxes. Becka Thompson was wonderful and spent time with me touring the facility and answering all my questions. Becka invited my husband and myself to attend a supper event they had in the dinning room there was live music and dancing. We met a couple who's father had been living at The Lodge for over 5 years and they only had great things to say. The dinning room can't be beat! On the third floor with beautiful views of the mountains out every window. Once we met the Executive Director, Denise Iwertz, we were sold. Denise is a very hands on Director and obviously a caring person. My mother is now fully moved in now and extremely happy with her new room and the care she is getting. She is enjoying the activities that are offered and loves her view from her table in the dining room. I would recommend The Lodge to anyone who is looking for a caring, clean, well run Assisted Living facility.
