Our House in Menomonie has been a very beautiful place for our dad. The atmosphere is so positive and the activities that the residents are offered are outstanding! Since June of 2024 dad has been interacting in so many activities, music, art, games and field trips. Very heart warming for our family! Homemade meals, and staff members that care. Shout out to Charlie, Kammon and the rest of the staff! Thanks for making this journey comfortable for dad and our family!

I have been to our house in Menomonie on numerous occasions for my work with St Croix Hospice. I've always found it to be a very warm, calm and inviting atmosphere. I love that. All the food is made on site. I've danced with the residence and staff for a prom. Today they went out on a boat for an outing. The staff is really friendly and loving towards the residents . All the interactions I've seen have been lovely.

We moved my mother-in-law in to Our House about a month ago. The staff have been very welcoming and work hard at what they do. They take care of each of the residents well and make it a fun an inviting place for them. They know each resident's name and they interact with all of them in a personal way. It is so great to see all of the daily activities that they plan to make it feel like a home for each person living there. Thank you to Kami for all your hard work and working so quickly to get my mother-in-law set up to move in. We appreciate it! Thank you all for all that you do each and every day for the residents. I highly recommend Our House.

Our House Senior Living in Menomonie has been caring for my mom for the past year, and we've been so pleased with the caring attitude and level of physical and medical care from everyone involved. Every time we visit there are activities going on and good food cooking in the kitchen. The surroundings are very home-like, and not institutional, which I know is a comfort to my mom. Even my mom's doctor said his family members had received excellent care here. Highly recommend!

I love that there are community activities weekly and fun activities everyday! There is a lot of effort put in, and so much fun to be a part of. Also, the food is homemade for all three meals. I enjoy seeing what the menu is everyday. The smaller atmosphere is also cozy. I love just walking into this building!

From the first moment walking in the door, we thought this is a good fit for dad (95 year old). One of the first things to hit, is that the residents were all smiling and happy. The next thought was that the caregivers were also smiling and happy too. Plus, the facility was bright, sunny, clean and had a warm residential feel. We moved dad in shortly after that initial walk thru. From day one, staff has treated dad like family. My siblings and I had a very confident feeling that dad's needs were being met. I would highly recommend Our House for anyone who's family member needs memory care. Alisha, Melina and staff are super awesome!

While strolling through Menomonie Memory Care, I noticed that the professional, friendly staff members are interacting with residents, referring to them by name. My mother is currently a resident and has been treated with respect, engaged in conversation, and encouraged to socialize with others. As a family, we are so grateful our mother's personal needs are met and she is acheiving an optimal quality of life. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing a place for a family member to call home.

I recently moved my great grandmother here from another facility. From the initial tour, to her assessment, to moving her into the facility it was so incredibly smooth! The second she walked into the facility, the staff made her feel welcome and as if she was with family. She went from having high anxiety and never wanting to attend activities to spending majority of her day in the common area. The communication from the management team has been absolutely incredible and above any expectations! If your thinking about touring this facility for your loved one-don't think twice and make the call!

As a hospice nurse I have been in many different facilities. I have had the honor of taking care of some wonderful residents here and was so impressed with the personal and loving care shown to the residents that we moved our mother here to live. The staff has a young energy and treat the residents like family. There is always a hot cup of coffee, a sweet treat and fun activity for the residents to have and do. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a home like atmosphere for their loved one to live at.

This place is amazing!!!! The staff is wonderful and the Director Alicia is an absolute gem. My mother was at another place previously that was absolutely horrible and the change in her since we brought her here is night and day. The staff keep her engaged and treat her like family, not just a patient or a number. The home setting of the facility is perfect and not a cold sterile setting you find in most places. I know when I am not able to be there in person that my mother is receiving the best care, no different than if she were with family. I can't recommend this place enough!!

I have worked in mental health (psychotherapist and social worker) for over 20 years and hospice for the past 5 years. Our House Memory Care in Menomonie is in the top three facilities with respect to those I would highly recommend! My recommendation is first and foremost based off of my belief in Theodore Roosevelt's words, "People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care." Administration and staff at this facility care greatly about their residents. They put into action the saying on the sign in their entryway - "Our residents do no live in our workplace; we work in their home." In order for that saying to come to fruition in a workplace, it must be role modeled and encouraged by administration. Alisha Arvold, Director, and Melina Schultz, Assistant Director, are exemplary role models of preserving dignity, worth and respect of the residents by empowering their employees to not just take excellent care of their residents home, but more importantly, to take excellent care of their resident's emotional, mental and physical health. What I love most about their leadership is that they are not hyper-focused on "Doing, Doing, Doing," but rather, value and appreciate the beauty of simply spending time with their residents listening to their stories and making them feel valued. This type of leadership is not only a gift to the residents but also to the staff at Our House as it teaches the important life lessons that one, our elderly are wise and have important lessons to teach us and two, memories are what make us truly rich. The servant-hearted leadership provided by Alisha and Melina set staff up for success. The staff that I currently observe on a weekly basis (Rachel, Reese and many more), respect their leaders, their co-workers and the residents. They are friendly, servant-hearted and appear to truly enjoy the residents as evidenced via putting puzzles together with the residents, using strength based therapy (empathetic listening) to validate and preserve the residents dignity and worth, displaying smiles, excellent eye contact and kindness in their voice tones. Of special note, Alisha was gracious enough to accept a behaviorally challenging resident that had been removed from several other facilities and declined by over 300 facilities due to his oppositional and defiant behaviors. This 70yr. old gentleman with terminal cancer flourished over three months of being in this facility. Of course, it started out rough and he tested their limits, but they provided him with structure, love, kindness, consistency and an unwavering resolve to serve, to make what they do about him and not about themselves. This patient experienced going to a facility prom, eating Sugar Babies (his favorite treat bought just for him), listening to music, holding a turtle, and feeling special in his time at Our House. What a gift!!! He is now in his final hours to days of life and thanks to Alisha, Melina and their staff, this man will "Die Well," feeling loved and accepted. I could go on and on, but for the sake of brevity, will again just reiterate that I highly recommend this facility to anyone who wants their loved one to find joy and to be respected and valued in their final years of life.

So kind and caring staff! My mom moved in November 2021. Alisha (director) and her staff asked wonderful questions to get to know Mom before she moved in. They reassured us and helped coach us through the transition period. They are always welcoming and kind to us and my mom. Very polite and emphasize a goal of a good quality of life! My Mom has been at Our House Menomonie since December 2020. She has been comfortable there and well looked after. Medications are given in a timely manner. The facility is small and homey and the staff is always available to the residents needs. If my Mom has a special request for scrambled eggs, they will accommodate her. Our family feels very blessed that we have found a safe home for my 100 year old Mom.

My grandma moved into Our House and it was super hard coming to terms with that stage of her life. I was worried she would hate it there as she's always said she'd never live in a home. It is simply miraculous how much she LOVES it at Our House! She used to sit home, alone, every day, doing nothing. Our House now fills her days with fun activities, games, events, treats and every day I can't wait to get on Facebook to see that massive smile on her face, knowing the staff did something to bring it about. She loves it there and takes pride in her "home" (her room that she loves) and I know it's because of the amazing people who work there and make it happen. We moved him from a facility he was in previously. and when I asked him what he liked better about our house he said very quickly "everything" he said it feels like a real home there and the staff are all very kind. My mother moved to Our House Senior Living last year and it has been a very good move. The facility is nice, well kept, and homey. The staff is exceptionally friendly, very helpful and you can tell they really like working there. The first thing you will notice is that most of the residents gather in the common area to visit, do crafts or just have coffee and a treat. The staff is always engaging with the residents in conversation and when weather permits a walk around the grounds or just be outside on the patio. I am amazed by the many activities and outings that are planned, the staff really does so much to keep the residents engaged. All in all it is a wonderful place to live.
