My mother lived at Mansfield Place for the last 5 years. Her health recently declined and she passed away at the age of 96. The care she received throughout her 5 years (and especially during her last few weeks) was excellent! Thank you again Mansfield staff!

Finding a safe, happy place for an elderly parent(s) can be difficult. Laurie M. treated my parents as if they were her own and that made all the difference in their transition to assisted living. I can't say enough about how well my parents were treated at Mansfield Place. The entire staff treated my mom and dad with care, understanding and humor. I highly recommend!

Mom moved to assisted living at Mansfield Place in 2018. Laurie was fantastic in helping us through the transition. The pandemic was tough, however, Mom received great care and was kept safe during that time. During the last 6 months, Mom's health declined and she passed away in November at age 95. The care she received in those last months was extraordinary. The staff were attentive, sensitive to Mom's desire to remain independent and vigilant to watch her and step in when needed. We are very grateful for the loving care she received.

As my father's age increased and his health condition was ever changing, I was at a loss for how to care for him and I questioned if I could provide him with the care he needed, even if I moved him to my home and quit my job. He decided he was ready to leave his home of 50 years, so I called Laurie at Mansfield Place on Carmichael Street in Essex Junction. We were thrilled that Laurie was able to match Dad with the perfect apartment to meet all his needs. Dad loves his apartment and calls Mansfield his new home. He has made many new friends with whom he enjoys spending time, and he is more social and active than he has been in several years. The care he receives from the staff is outstanding and he calls them friends as well. We are all so grateful for Mansfield Place. They have far exceeded our expectations for assisted living. Thank you, Mansfield!

My parents over to Mansfield Place in March, 2019. They staff is fantastic and the facility is very nice and well maintained. Mom and dad settled in well and are very happy there.

After 12 years caring for my parents it was time to find a facility to accommodate theirs needs medically, physically and mentally. This was a lifestyle change for all of us. The staff at Mansfield Place made the transition smooth for all involved. 10+ stars to all levels of staff who have assisted my parents! From the Financial department to coordinating medicine, medicare, insurances, hospice. The entire nursing and housekeeping staff tend to all aspects of their daily needs and with a smile. The Activity Director who tries diligently to cover the residents wants with a variety of activities. The Chef & Waitstaff who tries to give a menu everyone enjoys while providing some alternatives. After about 6 months it was time to move my Mother to the memory care wing. They made this transfer seem-less. After my mothers passing the "extras" they provided were instrumental in my Dads well-being. The only suggestion I would make is to provide more outside activities within the community i.e. parades, Essex playhouse etc. Although it is pricey, what place is not, but it is an all inclusive facility with minimal monthly additions which are pre approved i.e. haircuts. I can not say enough about sending your loved one to this facility and highly recommend considering Mansfield Place. I know they were and are looked after as if I was still providing the care myself.

My father moved into Mansfield Place in September 2020. Laurie Malenfant was so helpful in helping my dad make his decision. She met with us several times and we had countless phone calls with Laurie. She was never too busy for us! Her compassion and guidance in helping navigate the complexities of moving a loved one from their home to assisted living was invaluable. Laurie's caring and professionalism is the reason why my dad chose Mansfield Place. We recently lost my dad, but we will forever be grateful for Laurie's caring help in his move to Mansfield.

Our mom lived at Mansfield Place for 4 years. This was a change for our family. The staff at Mansfield Place made the transition easy for everyone involved. We are very thankful to all the staff who have assisted our mom! Our mom greatly enjoyed her daily routines, the friends she made there, and the activities she was able to enjoy with her friends there. Her quality of life and socialization was greatly improved over her solitary life in her previous home. Outstanding services were provided by all the staff, including the activity director who consistently arranges a variety of activities for the residents; the chef & waitstaff who provide a healthy menu everyone enjoys; the financial department in coordinating medicine, Medicare, insurances, hospice care and the entire nursing and housekeeping staff who tended to all aspects of her daily needs with a smile. During the last few months of our mom's life they were very attentive to all her special needs. This caring brought the much-needed peace to mom during her last days of life, allowing her to pass with dignity. Our family is forever thankful to the special treatment she received at Mansfield Place. We highly recommend considering Mansfield Place for your loved one(s) needing an assisted living facility. It turned out to be an excellent choice for us. Our mother was cared for as if she was family.

I want to express my disappointment in the way my Mother was rejected to move into here . We went to a tour and all looked fine. I gave a down payment and Mom was excited. Then I received a call From a Nurse saying that they would have to reject Mom as they could not fit her needs..Then I spoke to her Supervisor who point blank said it was not that but due to "Family Dynamic's". What she was going on was the fact that My half brother who is Bi-Polar, has had issues since my Dad passed. There had been some concern on my part about him for Mom's sake. He was put into a Mental Facility for 7 months. So based on that the Nurse who did work at her present place told Mansfield Assisted Living about it and I was told she could not go in there. I cried and Mom is very upset. Vt. Adult Protective has gone to see her yesterday about her concerns. My Mom should not be rejected due to a son with Mental Issues. It is not him moving in. This move would have helped Mom a lot as the amenities and Memory care is there and not so at her present place. Very upsetting.
