Moving a parent into assisted living is never an easy decision, but our experience with The Ivy at Cherry Hills has made the transition so much easier than we could have imagined. From the moment my father moved in, the staff has been incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. They have gone out of their way to help him adjust to his new home, while also providing me with exceptional support throughout the process. Whether it was answering my many questions, helping coordinate deliveries, or assisting with getting my father established with a new physician and pharmacy, everyone has been responsive, compassionate, and genuinely caring. The community itself feels warm and inviting”it truly feels like home rather than an institution. My father has enjoyed the delicious meals and the variety of activities available, which have helped him settle in and stay engaged. I know there will be challenges anytime a loved one makes such a significant life change, but knowing he is surrounded by people who truly care has given our family tremendous peace of mind. We are very grateful to everyone at The Ivy at Cherry Hills for making this transition such a positive experience.

It's hard for me to put into words how much I appreciate this wonderful place, but I'm going to try. This place is special. It's so good on so many levels: location, amenities, atmosphere, and most importantly the people who live and work there. If you have a loved one who needs memory care, this is the best place around. The caring and compassionate staff took excellent care of my dad there. The staff/resident ratio is really low, like 1 to 3. (At most of the other places I looked at before choosing here, the ratio seemed more like 1 to 10+.) This means my dad and all of the residents in memory care unit got/get excellent care and are treated with dignity. The staff always kept me well informed and were easy to get ahold of if I had questions or concerns. It is a vibrant community with lots of activities to do every day, opportunities for excursions, and special events throughout the year. It's located in an ideal spot overlooking a large, beautiful park and the Highline Canal trail. Unfortunately, my dad recently passed away. When the mortuary came to the facility for him, the entire staff lined up on both sides of the hallway outside of his room and sang Amazing Grace. My family and I were so touched by this demonstration of love and respect for my dad. Probably the best example of many I could cite of how great the people are at CHAL. Thank you so much!

When my aunt suddenly needed to move into assisted living, our family visited six different facilities trying to find the right fit. From the moment we walked into Cherry Hills Assisted Living and Memory Care (CHAL), we knew it was special. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the staff truly seemed to care about the residents. My aunt moved in about a year ago, and it was a huge adjustment - she had been living independently and had no plans to move. The team at CHAL went above and beyond to help her settle in and feel comfortable in her new home. They were patient, kind, and always took the time to make sure she was doing okay. Now, a year later, she’s happy and thriving. She enjoys the staff and the beautiful facility. It’s such a relief knowing she’s well cared for and surrounded by people who genuinely care about her. We’re so grateful to everyone at CHAL for making what started as a stressful transition into such a positive experience. I can’t recommend them enough!

When you only look for a place for mom to live once in a lifetime, do you want to make sure it’s the right fit.. after checking out a couple of other places a minute my sisters and I walked into Cherry Hills assisted-living we knew it was the spot for mom from day one she has been welcomed included, feels safe, and we have not seen her this happy in many many months every detail is taken care of by Cherry Hills down to an amazing Fourth of July barbecue.. I would highly recommend this assisted-living for your loved one to give you that peace of mind.AMAZING COMMUNITY AND PEOPLE ARE SECOND TO NONE!!

From the moment we went on our first tour we knew it was her last home. Michelle was transparent with all the financial information then we met Kathryn and she was the topper with her care for Mom. They are giving her one on one dining escort as well as activities. They have her under their wing and the transition is going well. Warms our heart that they really do care. A Truly Exceptional Assisted Living Center We recently moved my mom into Cherry Hills Assisted Living and I can honestly say it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made for her care and well-being. After considering at least ten senior living options in and around Denver, Cherry Hills Assisted Living (CHAL) stood out as the clear choice for our family. Since moving in, my mother has quickly become engaged in the community”participating in exercise classes, enjoying meals with new friends in the beautiful dining room, attending parties with live music in the bistro, going on lunch outings, and relaxing with nightly movies and popcorn. With on-site physical and occupational therapy, she’s receiving the care she needs, and we have complete confidence in the dedicated staff. Special thanks to Katharine Johnson and Michele Farrelly for their guidance during the transition, to Trish Dunbar for ensuring my mother feels welcome and involved, and to Adam Dodd for overseeing her level of care. It’s hard to put into words how much Cherry Hills Assisted Living means to our family! After an Alzheimer’s diagnosis two years ago, we set out to try to find the very best place for our family member. We talked with, and toured, every well-rated facility in south Denver. From the very beginning, Cherry Hills stood out as so much different (better) than anywhere else. Not only is the facility clean, beautiful and full of light, but the residents seemed truly happy and engaged, especially the memory care residents (which sadly we discovered is unusual). Michele spent so much time with us at the beginning, answering questions and helping us understand what the process could look like as we moved forward. We made the decision to get on the waiting list at Cherry Hills and when things starting getting more difficult at home, we reached back out to Michele. She is amazing! She listened so kindly and asked really good questions, ultimately advising us that it sounded like the right time to make the move. We confirmed her recommendation with our doctor and Michele scheduled a home visit with Jen, one of the fantastic Cherry Hills staff nurses to help us determine if it was the right time to move and what kind of care would be needed. She was so kind and really took the time to get to know our family member. Her knowledge and experience were so valuable to us as we finalized the decision to make the move. Once the decision to move forward was made, both Michele and Katherine were unbelievable in how much time, help, and advice they gave us as we figured out the logistics of the move. Moving a loved one into assisted living or memory care is exhausting and stressful. When I was at Cherry Hills meeting furniture deliveries or dropping things off prior to the move, Michele and Katherine would see me and give me a big hug and ask how we were doing and what they could do to help. We felt so seen, cared about and supported! Even before the move, they already felt like family and Cherry Hills felt like home. In the back of my mind, I kind of kept thinking that it wasn’t possible for this place to be as good as it seemed and hoping that we didn’t find it was different after move-in. Nothing could be further from our experience. When we arrived on move-in day, the Executive Director, Michele, Katherine, Jen and Adam, the staff nurses, were all waiting at the front to greet us. They walked us to the apartment and gave our family member a sweet gift along with a card that had personal notes from each of the key staff welcoming them and saying that they were looking forward to getting to know them. That first day we were having trouble getting the tv to connect to Comcast (after the maintenance staff had already hung the tv and set everything up for us in advance) and Michele literally spent 30 minutes talking to Comcast and figuring out the setting on this specific tv that needed to be adjusted in order to work. They just go so far above and beyond. And I understand now that what makes it such a special place is that everyone there genuinely and deeply cares about the residents and their families. I think for all of them, it is much more than a job and it has made us feel like family. My family member has now been at Cherry Hills for almost a month and we feel so blessed every day by how they have helped them feel at home, the way they’ve answered our questions and helped to smooth out a difficult process. Even after only a week of being at Cherry Hills all the staff from the front desk, to the restaurant, activities and care staff knew our family member’s name and would go out of their way to say hello and ask if they needed anything. If you are looking for a special place for your loved one, we can’t recommend Cherry Hills Assisted Living enough. It truly stands apart from everything else!

The staff is both skilled and genuinely caring, ensuring that every resident's needs are met with respect and kindness. Katharine Johnson in particular is stellar! Their professionalism and dedication create a comfortable and supportive environment for everyone. The place is well-maintained and welcoming, it has a peaceful atmosphere but I appreciate that there’s a lot of social interaction. The meals I’ve seen were nutritious and well-prepared, and everyone clearly enjoyed their food. We looked hard for a place for our parents and there weren't many reviews. So I am taking time to help others in their search. This place was built by someone who really loves and cares for the elderly. More like a lovely resort hotel than an assisted living place. It's got a great, uplifted vibration to it, which I think is so helpful when we are needing care like this at the end of life. The staff are loving and amazing. The dining room is elegant and great care goes into the preparation of the meals. I couldn't have imagined such a supportive environment for our parents. My dad lived upstairs in Assisted Living area since October. The care he received was wonderful. Our family visited every day, and everyone we met has been quite extraordinary. It's not easy to find a place that has this quality and consistency of support. My dad arrived here in October walking easily on his own and coming really only for the meals and socializing. He was living on his own for awhile and it was getting to be more work than he wanted to do to drive and shop. Amazingly, he had a rather sudden decline in his health within about a month and needed quite a bit of care. We were so relieved and grateful that he could remain here and receive the care he needed. In fact, they've helped cover his care needs every step of the way. It's a huge blessing that we didn't need to move Dad to nursing care. He just passed peacefully last week, and the amount of concern and kindness from all the staff is hard to describe. We can't thank the staff enough. Dad received hospice care from the hospice team that is part of the facility's medical support. They were angels, too. (A shout out to Bloom Hospice - huge thanks to Betsy, Hope, and their colleagues). My mom lived in the downstairs memory wing 2 years ago, and also received loving care. We couldn't have been more grateful for everything Cherry Hills provided for her. Angels do this kind of work. Adding this note for families who are searching for the right place: my dad moved here looking forward to some social interaction with others, and was good health when he moved in. But he found that there were almost no others (just one man) at the facility who were mentally clear like he was. He adapted to the new reality, but it would have been more stimulating had he had more people to talk with. As a service, he spent time with many people there who were pleasant but mentally diminished. They were not close to his level of clarity. Perhaps there are more people like that than he was able to meet. But if your parent is clear-minded and physically able to, he would be better off in an independent living place with tiered levels of additional support as needed.

They do everything they can especially during this pandemic to keep all residents happy and thriving through activities, allowing outdoor visits, but only allowing medical providers in to ensure Covid-19 stays out of the community. Moving a parent from their home into assisted living is difficult. However, we made the right move by moving my mother into Cherry Hills Assisted Living (CHAL). The staff is fantastic and the building is beautiful. They made her feel at home and not alone. Eventually, we had to move her to memory care in the same building which was extremely difficult on us, not so much our mother. Once again, the staff could not have been better and attentive. My mother made a few friends which was encouraged by staff. They have many daily activities and exercise class which is important. I would visit several times a week and we could go on walks along the Highline Canal and in the park which CHAL is built by. I have visited many memory care facilities, and Cherry Hills is one of the best if not the best. I truly appreciate all the staff that work there and they deserve a big thank you!
