I have been a full-time private caregiver for a resident at Atria for almost a year. I spend a lot of time with her there and have become very familiar with the staff & other residents at Atria. Part of my job is keeping my ears and eyes open for any red flags that might arise; as I am responsible for my clients well-being and am very close to her and her family. I take my job very seriously; they trust in me to take care of their loved one, so I'm extra cautious of my clients surroundings and the people that interact with her on a daily basis. But, at Atria I see how much the staff cares about their residents, and when I leave at night I'm confident that my client is in the best of hands. The staff works together as a team to take the best care possible when tending to the needs of each individual. I am a witness to the accommodating staff and the extra mile they'll go in exchange for a smile. I see how much their residents truly appreciate the care and positive fun loving interaction they receive from the staff. From the girls at the front desk, to the bartender's & food server's, to the kind valet drivers, and the very handy maintenance guy's, to the activities director & her fun-loving crew, to the caregivers and the caring nurses, last but not least, management; Atria is like home with one big happy family caring for one another. Thank you for upholding the integrity your residents deserve!!!

Last fall, our family was seeking a solution for my husband, who had developed emerging memory issues. We visited four recommended assisted living communities with memory care facilities near Newport Beach. Atria Newport Beach staff, both then and afterwards, were always friendly, courteous, and caring. In addition, specialists worked hard to accommodate my husband's immediate needs and to make it easy for us to move in quickly. They never stopped troubleshooting to further help my husband either, as the months passed by. The Atria Newport Beach community is filled with engaging and caring residents who contribute to a general environment of well-being and friendliness, Atria Newport Beach has truly become a home for many residents, as they pursue their favorite routines or hobbies, build friendships, and reach out to learn more both intellectually and physically fitness-wise. They can often attend first-rate concerts and musical performances in the lobby area and enjoy lavish today's entertainment. There are also daily calendars listing truly fun and educational outings around the Orange County area, to cultural centers and scenic landmarks. Atria Newport Beach has been a very enjoyable experience for both my husband and me, and a place to call home. Did I mention that the food is most delicious! No doubt, the right place to be!

Wow, what a blessing!! We have been trying to figure out the best scenario for my 85 year old mom, and were always a little scared of assisted living. Mina was the sales person who helped us, and she made us very comfortable and discusses all the reasons why Atria would be great for my mom. We moved my mom in 3 weeks ago and it's the best decision we have ever made. My mom actually told me she wished she had moved in earlier. Everything is perfect. They keep the place so clean, I love it! The staff is friendly, the food is great, and my mom has already attended some painting classes. While everyone here is fantastic.....the whole staff! a couple people have stood out. Mina for being amazing and really making us understand why this is the right decision for my mom, and Sofiane who made the move in process seamless. You can tell he runs a tight ship, and it shows with how great his staff is. If you have doubts, do not. Atria Newport Beach is amazing and one of a kind.

My mom moved into Atria last December, and although she is still adjusting to assisted living, we have both been impressed overall. First is the atmosphere, which is beautiful, and you can't beat the location, near Hoag Hospital but also the Newport Peninsula. It is very clean and feels like an upscale hotel upon entry. The staff is also friendly and attentive. They really do try to meet my mom's needs and have gone out of their way at times to do so, both the adminstrative staff and nursing. My mom and I chose a studio apartment due to affordability, and although small, it is clean, new and bright and her building is very nice and well kept also. Both my mom and I like the fact that she is able to be independent but also in a safe environment in which she can get help when and if needed. Also, the activities offered were of utmost concern to us both, as my mom was feeling isolated at home due to the loss of her driver's license. Atria really does have a good array of activity choices, including fitness classes and a small gym, and also events, which often includes good musical entertainment in the lobby. Lastly, but importantly, is the food. It is quite good! And my mom loves the fact that there is a coffee bar in the lobby where she can get snacks at any time. My mom and I both would recommend Atria to anyone seeking assisted living in the area.

The staff at Atria makes it feel like home. I can be at peace and relaxed knowing my brother is well taken care of. The front desk staff does an especially good job at managing the communication between residents & their families and staff. Sofiane, the head concierge, thoughtfully offered to send my brother a Christmas meal when he was in the hospital. The wellness care team does an exceptional job in managing the day to day needs of the residents in addition to responding to emergency situations. My brother had a bad fall during the Holidays and when Michelle from the care team could not reach me, she made the decision to call 911. When the paramedics arrived, she put me on the phone with them and I was able to direct them as his POA to take my brother to the hospital (against his wishes). Thankfully we made the right decision because they found that my brother suffered a brain bleed and immediately checked him into the hospital. Because of Michelle's quick response, following protocol, and her good judgement my brother fully recovered with no lasting side effects. This level of care is priceless.

The decision to place a loved one into an assisted living facility is very concerning. Worries about health, security, comfort, and community are just a few of the concerns. But the decision to move my sister into Atria, Newport Beach, however, was and still is, the best decision I made to reduce those concerns. Everything from the friendly and helpful staff, to a beautiful building and facility, to an engaging community, and not in the least, to the wonderful meals and food available, have all been confirmation of that decision. My wife and I chose Atria to care for her 101 year old mother two years ago. For a majority of this time, she was independent and we had few issues. We were dismayed that staffing shortages at this facility required her to wait for prolonged periods of time for basic care which made her anxious, disappointed, and sad. This prompted us to look for other local alternatives and we visited Vivante at Newport Center. They happened to have a special rate for the smaller units which ended up costing us only $700 more per month. However, the differences in the caregivers was astounding. Everyone took special measures to ensure they understood her needs and couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. In addition, the room was considerably more spacious, has an elegant full kitchen (as opposed to a kitchenette with a microwave), and the food and restaurant are not even comparable. We have met several residents who also moved from Atria to Vivante but never the reverse. When my wife wrote a heartfelt letter about the incompetence of some of the staff to the Senior Executive Director of Atria, Mr. Brian Keys, he never even responded. Does this represent the priorities of their leadership? In all fairness, there are employees at Atria that are caring and competent. But even at the standard rent and level of care, the relatively nominal upgrade price is the bargain of a lifetime.

Outstanding in Every Way! When my sister needed to move to Assisted Living I toured 6 communities. When I walked into Atria Newport Beach it was like walking into a Four Seasons hotel. I thought this is a place that my sister will feel good about making her new home. But that is NOT the most important reason I have been so thrilled with Atria. It is the staff, the care & attention to detail. Getting a loved one to leave their home is a huge challenge, but my sister is SO MUCH HAPPIER since she moved to Atria. They know my mother, her personality, her likes and dislikes. They treat her like a member of their family. I believe that directly and indirectly this is the product of a well oiled Department of Hospitality Services. As both the face of the facility and the interface between departments, their attitudes, approaches, training, and beliefs help define the unique and exquisite nature of Atria at Newport Beach. It has earned its "Signature" title. As the department's Director, Sofiane maintains a combination of timeless professionalism and friendly personal relationships with each resident and visitor. His staff is held to the highest standards; their customer and concierge services create a feeling of being valued, respected, and heard in each person they encounter. These qualities are repeated in the food service area and resident activities departments. And, the impact of Sofiane and his staff can also be seen in other departments, such as the caregivers, that interact with the residents. Atria is a gorgeous establishment that feels more like a high-end, family-run resort than an assisted living facility. The staff is warm, knowledgeable, and considerate. My grandma transitioned from the previous management to the opening of this new building and Atria included residents' opinions in many aspects of the planning and operation before the move and they continue to do so to this day. Residents are invited to meet about the activities, food, and many are Welcome Ambassadors themselves. Understandably, many seniors struggle with losing aspects of their independence (I know I will, when the time comes) and it means so much to me that all of the staff sincerely listens to the opinions and needs of the residents. It's clear that each staff member values residents and knows they are our beloved family members. My grandma just celebrated her 100th birthday this month at Atria with great fanfare and love from the residents, staff, and our family and friends. In her words, Grandma said it was "the most fantastic party" she's ever had. It was a beautiful evening and I am so thankful to Lyn and James for making it a night to remember! The accommodations are impressively modern, yet comfortable, and I feel reassured that residents can ask for help at any time with their wristbands. Grandma and I love having lunch on the sunny terrace. The options for activities are endless! Grandma has learned a number of new games (mahjong, chess, rummikub), enjoyed live music and performances, made many beautiful crafts to decorate her room, learned a lot from live lectures, and enjoys red vines in the movie theater. She is also an active member of the bookclub and we often exchange books that we are reading. As my grandma's needs have increased, her support from staff has evolved as well. Every single staff member I have met knows my grandma by name and they are all welcoming to me, too. The residents have a good time together and I'm so glad Atria has fostered such a great community environment. I highly recommend Atria for your loved one!

After a year of managing in-home care for my husband, I decided to look at some assisted-living communities in our area. Although very nice, the ones we visited seemed a little overwhelming to me! Jose's Neurologist recommended us to the 4EverYoungLiving consultants, they took us to a few assisted living communities including Atria Newport Beach. I decided to check it out. Thus began my love affair with Atria Newport Beach senior living community nestled in the community of Newport Beach, which just happens to be 30 minutes from our home. I particularly liked that it was a small community, knowing that it would be more comforting to Jose! There are so many things that I love about Atria Newport Beach. It's always clean and well-kept. It's a congenial place that would be good for everyone. Unlike other places that have assisted lifestyles, Atria Newport Beach has not only nurses who are attentive to your needs but all the staff and maintenance crew as well! They are kind and able people who give seniors a warm and friendly home to live in Atria Newport provides such a positive living experience! When I went inside, everyone was so friendly. I knew this was the place for my husband! The food is delicious, and we always have something to do, whether it's socializing with the other residents or participating in the wide variety of activities. Of course, what's a beautiful community without warm and friendly people to bring it to life? They are top-notch, professional folks who welcomed us and have gone the extra mile to make Jose and me feel at home! Knowing that Jose is safe and in the hands of such kind and loving folks has given us such peace of mind! Jose and I have been at Atria Newport Beach a few weeks now and we are in love with the care and quality of service that we receive. Jose gets spoiled with wonderful fresh foods. They cater to his likes and dislikes too. Atria Newport Beach is more like a home in the city than an assisted living facility. We are glad we found you!

After looking at over a dozen places, Atria Newport Beach was over the top. Less than a year old, love the facilities. The staff, beautiful lobby, restaurant, location, and the many activities here for the seniors won my mom n I over. Food is top notch and fresh.. Mom got a modest studio but very new and modern. Live entertainment on a weekly basis.The people here are very happy and the staff is the best ever. This place is top of the line but worth every penny. Great location w valet parking and have shuttle services to help the seniors run their errands. Management is top notch and always free to talk to you.. If you're looking for an assistant living place, highly recommend this place. I love it... 5 Stars... Jeff

An incredible senior living facility! I've never met such an incredibly caring, professional, and knowledgeable staff. I've been working with George Gonzales, Geniah Sweeney, and Kathleen Panganiban for the last couple of years as I was helping some friends and then my own parents find an independent, yet assisted, housing situation. George, Geniah, and Kathleen are the most caring and sincere team I've ever worked with and deserve more stars than this scale can give. In terms of the new facility at 393 Hospital Road, it's like walking into a fine hotel or being on a 5 start cruise ship. From the smiling faces at the concierge desk, to the 2 story "living room" with comfortable seating, and "Vascos" restaurant, with delicious menu choices and "grab and go" food at The Bistro, its' top notch all the way. My father is enjoying going to the movie theater every day (is it the movies or the array of candy?), and he has started joining the stretch and exercise classes. Once the quarantine has been lifted (as I write, residents are 1/2 way through vaccination), there will be even more events that they can enjoy, including fun outings. In the mean time, the staff is doing everything possible to get the residents involved and settled into their new homes. My parents are in a 1 bedroom apartment, which has been an adjustment for them to let go of their belongings from a large home. I'm sure everyone goes through this. The staff has been super helpful in terms of helping them move boxes, to helping them get set up with their computers, etc. Special kudos to Dori Redman for the tech support, and Adan for installing additional grab bars in the shower for my parents. Although the apartment is small, it does have a kitchenette in the apartment, and so much incredible open space in the public areas. From the "living room", dining room, bar, outdoor patios, library, movie theater, art rooms, yoga room and gym, they will be too busy to be spending too much time in their apartment. After placing 5 friends/family members with Atria, everyone has been happy. Overall a 5 star experience!

Atria Newport Beach is AMAZING. After touring multiple retirement communities, we finally found a place that looked and felt like a resort. It's beautiful and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. We ate lunch there and the food is actually really good! The residents were all so welcoming, friendly, and happy. They told us about the activities they do and they all sound wonderful and much better than just staying home alone, watching tv all day. Atria Newport Beach is not a nursing home at all. It is like vacation resort style living for seniors! We were so impressed and feel lucky that our loved ones can live out their last chapter of life in such a gorgeous, great quality place.
