Our mom recently moved into the memory care and I have nothing but good things to say about the facility and the staff. The facility is always clean and smells fresh. One employee said Yes, it’s a business but we truly care about the residents. I truly believe that. The staff is very patient with my mom and all the residents. My mom wasn’t having a good morning one day. The nurse explained that it was typical morning behavior for her and once she has her meds she would be good in a hour or so. And she was! I appreciate the knowledge, understanding, patience and compassion the entire staff has for the residents at Arbor Terrace Exton. This includes EVERYONE that I’ve worked with to get my mom a place there (thanks Heather!); the receptionists who are always smiling and pleasant especially Britney; those caring for her on a daily basis; the activities team and everyone behind the scene doing check-ins and willing to have a quick convo in the middle of the hallway (thanks Sue!). My family and I couldn’t be happier knowing she’s in a good place and being treated with the utmost respect. THANK YOU ALL!

My mom was at AT Exton for a year and a half in memory care until she passed in October. From the front desk, (Brittany), welcoming me, bringing my mom and me coffee when we played cards, to the housekeeping staff, (Gina-always giving mom extra hugs and attention and Susan-diligently cleaning and caring), so many of the staff went out of their way. Shout outs to Mike, med tech that never stops smiling and radiating positivity, to Christina and Lorraine, aids that gently loved and cared, and Gauri, that engaged mom in activities that surprised us all. Many there helped us through this difficult season. While perfection is illusive, at AT they were responsive to our needs and concerns in a timely manner. It is not inexpensive but seems to be the going rate for care.

I came to visit my brother in law and was so very impressed. My expectations of a memory care facility was nothing like I saw and experienced. What a beautiful facility and so well taken care of. The staff were phenomenal, caring and loving! The love and care they showed for my sister as well was great! When Andy passed away, there was such overwhelming love and support from the staff. Lisa, the director of the memory care, unit never ceases to amaze. She’s full of energy and clearly puts the patients’ needs first. She has genuine, heartfelt concern for the people under her care. I would go as far as to say that she treats them as if they are family members because in her mind they are. Arbor Terrace offers the rare ability for those in the memory care unit to walk outside when they want and the weather permits, because their outside patio is enclosed, and secured. From the initial meeting with Heather who answered all my questions via in person and through text messaging, I’d choose this memory care unit again. So many of you often told me how much you liked my mom, and you really knew her! In her last days, my daughter commented to me, "Wow, mom! They really love nana here!" I have to especially mention Lisa Tatarelli, the Floor Manager in Evergreen (Memory Care) who went above and beyond to give mom the best care possible. Her willingness to take every request seriously, to communicate with me promptly and at all hours, and her compassion and professionalism truly made all the difference in our experience. Also, a few of the care staff and activities staff are worth mentioning because of their exemplary care- Tearsha, Lexie, Brian (care staff) - thank you for loving my mom and giving her as much dignity as possible. And Allie, Kirstie, Sue, and Chuck included her in activities with great enthusiasm. From Brittany's smile and kind word at the front desk to the accountant Bernadette's availability and friendliness- I am so glad we chose Arbor Terrace. To Potential Residents and Their Families: No place is perfect, and yes, a 'home' like this is an institution. Even so, from a family of one of their longest residents, I highly recommend Arbor Terrace. From Don Kienz, son of a resident: To the entire staff: Thank You. To prospective residents: Mom's years-restated wish was to never be placed in assisted living. She had visited some, but had not seen Arbor Terrace when absolute necessity necessitated the transition. Within three days of entering at age 94, she improvized a monologue I recorded of her own enthusiastic rejoicing at finding such a wonderful place: clean, pretty, busy with things to do, a service staff who genuinely liked her, and gave her prompt and upbeat personal attention. She chided her own self for having had any reservations about assisted living, and I know for a fact this turnaround was particularly due to the staff. To prospective reluctant relatives: Rest Easy. This team of people is remarkable. Yes, Heather and Megan are superb, knowledgable, and patient with your questions. The therapists, head nurse, and other nurses likewise. And most reassuring, the daily team of attendants to your senior relative put on more than a positive face; most repeatedly genuinely and consistently cared like friends would. This last impressed me most. Rest easy. Mom/Dad/Auntie/Uncle will be fine here. (Someday might be me too. I'd go.)

As a chaplain, I visit many different facilities. I can honestly say that Arbor Terrace would be a first choice for my family. Anytime I visit the staff is attentive and responsive to any of the patients needs. This is particularly true of the management that holds patient care in the highest regard. They also have a wonderful Memory Care courtyard outside that the residents can access, which really gives them an opportunity to enjoy some fresh air in ways that many other facilities don’t offer. On top of a great staff and clean environment, they offer many extra curricular activities hosted at the facility that brings a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both patients and their families.

The community is beautiful! Lots of different areas for residents to socialize, including a movie theater. Their resident care director Donna is phenomenal. Megan in sales is wonderful to work with and takes time to really get to know residents.

Arbor Terrace Exton is an outstanding place! The staff and residents are very friendly and welcoming, as you pass through the community there is not one person that does not greet you with a warm smile and a hello. The residents in all of the neighborhoods are very active with community activities and enjoy each others company at meals. My mom lived here, first in the Bridge program and then in the dementia area. I cannot stress how well run we found Arbor Terrace to be. From Bernadette in the financial office to Lisa in the dementia program management, to the caregivers, we were so impressed. Mom lived for several years prior to moving here in a place where it was rare for the caregivers to meet your eyes. Our experience at Arbor Terrace was so different. We never felt that our visits were an imposition, and we were always greeted with smiles. Effective and timely communication, competent and caring attention, really good management. Mom was well cared for, and we could not have asked for more. Our heartfelt thanks to the people at Arbor Terrace.

I cannot say enough great things about Arbor Terrace. Our family had searched for senior living for so long, that we were starting to lose hope. After driving by this community, we thought we may as well go see what it has to offer for ourselves. When we came in to tour, we met with Megan, their Sales Director. Megan was so welcoming, warm, empathetic, and compassionate. It was obvious to see how much she cares about seniors and that she is absolutely in the right industry. She was so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions which, proved how passionate she is for Arbor. On the tour, we were able to see how beautiful the community is and how it truly was built with seniors in mind, and to look like a home for its residents. The whole time we walked the community, Megan talked to every resident she saw and knew all of them by name. This was something we did not see at other communities, and were truly blown away by this. This is what we had been looking for all along for our mom, a family-like feel in an active community. And as far as active goes, they had so many residens out and about in various activities, which showed us that our mom would not be left in her room all day, which was one of our biggest fears. We also met met Allie and Kristie, and they answered questions we had about the activities they do with their residents, which is a lot, since they truly do activities seven days a week. What a fun place to live! We met Lisa, their Memory Care Director, too, who even gave us her business card in case we had any questions later for her. We were highly impressed during our entire tour! Megan and her team are why we chose Arbor as we know the people are what make up a great community. Since our mom has officially moved in, our family has had the best experiences with Donna, their head nurse, who is caring, and also direct, which we highly appreciate. Their other nurses and staff, from Maureen, to Brittany, to Bonita, are all so nice and caring, that we could not have asked for a better move in experience for our mom from a great community and amazing employees. Our mom is finally getting the socialization she needed from a phenominal community, staying busy every day, and we could not be happier. We finally feel at peace and no longer worry abour our mom. I hope this can help someone else, who is looking into senior living. You cannot go wrong with Arbor.

I am not one to leave reviews, good or bad, but this review had to be written. My mother has been in several assisted living homes, which I found to be unacceptable as far as living conditions, cleanliness, food, quality, and especially having no activities whatsoever. I recently got my mother into Arbor Terrace, with the help of Megan, who is an amazing person, and my sister and I can’t say enough about it. And Chuck , the director, is involved with the pontoon boat rides and most other activities. He truly knocks it out of the park! I called today to talk to my mother and found out she was on a pontoon boat. REALLY???? I don’t even get to do that! I have eaten in the dining room, which I found to be unbelievable, and their chef, DeShawn, is an extremely talented chef and friendly. Awesome guy! I felt like I was eating at a five-star restaurant. The whole community feels like you are on a small cruise ship. The staff is unbelievable. Serious activities throughout the day ending with happy hour in the sports bar and daily evening movies in a movie theatre comparable to the movie tavern. If I mention everything that was there, I would probably run out of characters. All I can say, is WOW! Thank you so much for giving the residence. Such a wonderful life! When I first went to Arbor Terrace Exton for a a business meeting, my first impression was "I have never been treated like this". And by that I mean with grace and warmth. The Concierge was able to confirm that I had a meeting and who it was with. She told me that Heather and Kim would be with me shortly. She then escorted me to the Discovery Room and told me to help myself to a beverage or snack. In over 15 years in the Healthcare Sales field I have never been treated with such professionalism and courtesy. The building itself is so clean and inviting. I felt as though I was in a friends home with all the comforts and amenities to make it feel like someplace that I would want to live. On my tour I was greeted with smiles by all the staff - whether I was directly introduced to them or just passed them in the hall. The residents were all happy and engaged in an activity or socializing with each other. I actually thought "oh, they staged this and prepped for my tour". No, that definitely was not the case - this is who they are and how they are, always. I returned for an unannounced and unexpected visit. And from the concierge greeting (and subsequent escort to the office I was looking for) to the greetings and smiles from the staff - I knew : this IS the shining gem of Senior Living communities in Chester County.

I recently toured Arbor Exton with Heather. The building itself is warm and inviting. Very beautifully decorated. I was impressed by how friendly and welcoming everyone was. Several staff members from various departments stopped to greet my family and I and offer information or just engage us in conversation. Looking around I saw several residents socializing and engaging in activities in the Bistro area. We toured the entire building including the Memory Care Unit. Their director offered us her card, which included her cell phone number! This level of accessibility is huge for us and not something we've seen elsewhere. Staff were serving lunch and looked like a well oiled machine. Everyone was up and doing their part to ensure the residents were fed in a timely and dignified manner. Following the tour, we sat with Heather discussing our needs and concerns. She was kind, compassionate and informative. She was very "down to earth" so to speak. No high pressure sales tactics, just honest connection and communication. It's a huge relief knowing Arbor Exton is available to care for our loved one when the time comes.

We recently visited Arbor Terrace, Exton and participated in a Fund Raising Event for Alheimers Awareness "The Longest Day". It was our first visit and we were greeted promptly and warmly. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. We felt very welcomed by the staff. It has been a month since our family chose Mom's forever home at Arbor Terrace. We have seen a significant change for the better since she arrived. Mom was becoming more reclusive at her previous senior living home, but with the help of the entire Engagement Team at Arbor Terrace in Exton, she is looking happier and getting out of her room for some meals and meeting more people.
