The Blake is a wonderful senior living community! They do so many activities that are fun and engaging! Each month they have a theme and there's so many activities surrounding the theme - art projects, baking, movies, documentaries, talks, Taste of The Blake. It's a very enriching community

The Blake at Hamlin proudly partnered with Horizon West Cars and Coffee to welcome local car enthusiasts to the community. Residents and guests enjoyed Classic Car Show and lunch thanks to the support of Melissa Bossert, Mike Stanczyk, and Lou Ferraro! Love working with the Blake!

My mom has been living at The Blake for 3 months now and loves it. She has met friends, stays active and social. She has even put on a few pounds which were needed! Chef Jerry's cooking is one of her favorite things! We have had zero issues and all staff has been kind and helpful.

My sister and I placed our parents in assisted living back in January of 2023, the first five months at Azpira/Sonata in Windermere. We were drawn there for superficial reasons - a beautiful lakefront, secluded locale. Not to bore one on this review of our experience there - see my separate comments on that facility - I'm here to say that our experience at the Blake was 180 degrees different. In a very positive way. We owe directors Rebecca and Melissa at The Blake a ton of gratitude for the grace they showed our parents when the actions and policies of Sonata Windermere put our family in crisis. Being faced with having to split them up after 56 years of devoted marriage - Rebecca and Melissa found a path forward for us that allowed both of them to be together until the end. Sadly, they have both since passed, but we have peace in knowing they were provided dignity in their final months. No place is perfect, and while I will give The Blake five stars for the reasons above, there were challenges. But we felt we had a team on our side. The staff - far too many to mention but I'll try to capture many: Morgan, Claudia, Neal, Donna, Chevanese, Catherine, Blair, Ashley, Noah, Lynette...again, too many to mention - all so very professional and kind to us. My sister and I had our moments of frustration but unlike before, at The Blake we always felt listened to. I highly recommend The Blake. Thank you for providing my parents a place to live their lives together until the end.

The Blake at Hamlin is a wonderful place to live. I've worked closely with them since their opening. There have been some growing pains, but Rebecca & Melissa and their team have worked out the kinks. The staff and care has been top notch. The building is clean and kept up. I highly recommend!

I cannot talk for everyone but my family has had a great experience so far at The Blake. The recreation program led by Jenna is outstanding and we just love Chef Jerry!

My parent has been at the Blake on and off over the last year. I've been holding off on writing this review in hopes that the level of care would improve, but I've reached my limit. Their website states that you are setting high standards at the Blake. The core values listed include: accountability, compassion, integrity, joy, and leadership. Sadly, the level of care and communication from the staff is below average. Management - Melissa is a god send and probably the life of the Blake; Rebecca, Executive Director, is dismissive, reserved and rarely answers emails/phone calls; Kia, Memory Care Director, is new but is open to feedback and is trying to improve that department. Cost - $$$$ monthly; the aids and nurses are most likely under paid Facilities - assisted living is kept clean unlike the memory care area; unclear of the housekeeping schedule including laundry (have found items of other residents in the room, make sure to label your loved ones items) Staff - under staffed; some aids lack the proper training (my family and I have left printed out instructions about our dads conditions because otherwise only the CNA is informed of his medical conditions. Dining - poor quality options in memory care; they also don't keep the residents hydrated even though I've flagged my dad's diabetes and medical conditions on multiple occasions. Cameras are allowed in the resident's room as per the resident agreement. We've caught other resident's in my dads room on multiple occasions - no acknowledgement from management when we have flagged this over email. My dad has not been mistreated by the staff directly but I hope the next family evaluating this facility takes a good look at these reviews.

the staff is very friendly, memory care we are just learning how it works. Kia is very kind and helpful, front desk. Staff is wonderful. Melissa and Rebecca are sweet and knowledgeable. We're excited to have a new chef and to experience the new menu. I have met many of the sweet residents in assisted living and memory care, If you have a problem with anything just tell the staff and they will try to resolve the situation. Thank you all for your team work as each and everyone try to do the best job possible for our seniors and loved ones.

My sweet Daddy lived his final days at The Blake at Hamlin and I am so grateful for the care he got from the staff. He was a resident there for almost 2 years and loved it. The activities kept him busy, he made such good friends and he loved the food. As his daughter, I was at peace knowing he was happy and cared for by the staff. He passed away just a little over a week ago, in hospice care for the last 4 months. The staff was nothing short of amazing. Caring, patient, attentive and just willing to make his final days happy working together with hospice. The morning he passed, many came by to pay their respects and were visibly upset knowing they has lost not just a resident but a family member of the facility. I am thankful that my father spent his final years at this facility so he could transition from a life of active involvement at the Blake to a dignified, fulfilled and happy trip to be with his wife on his final days on this earth. Thank you to every member of the team that helped to make is life exciting, fulfilling and comfortable. My brother and I are forever grateful.

We've experienced AL and now memory care services. Overall positive with no major red flags to report. - Communication w/administration - timely and responsive. Really appreciate Melissa Bossert's attention to detail and ongoing check-ins. Front desk staff particularly Taylor and Ashley are very friendly with the residents. - Dining - as a family we periodically eat onsite. The food is satisfactory. The dining staff attentive and friendly. Cost for guest dining is also fairly priced and reasonable. - Rooms - good size. They need to be furnished by the resident so easily customized. - Laundry / cleaning - unclear about the cadence and schedule for room cleaning. But clothes are washed and folded neatly. General areas and (guest) restrooms are clean. - New memory care director just started. He has ambitious plans (in the best way possible). Looking forward to seeing them roll out to increase MC activities and refreshed staff training.

I had the pleasure of working with Melissa Bossert, the Director of Sales at The Blake at Hamlin, and it's hard to put into words how exceptional the experience was. Melissa is not only a true professional, but her warm and friendly demeanor made every interaction a delight. I recently photographed a professional headshots and hotcakes event at The Blake, and I must say, this facility is nothing short of immaculate. The attention to detail in maintaining the premises is remarkable. The entire staff, just like Melissa, was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our event run smoothly. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. It's clear that The Blake at Hamlin takes great pride in providing a welcoming and pristine environment. If you are wondering if The Blake at Hamlin is the place for your loved one to be loved and cared for, assisted when needed, and carefully attended to when it comes to personality and interest, the answer is YES. There are no words to express (other than writing a mini-novel whereas it might be too long to read!) of how much of a tremendous blessing The Blake has been to my family. From before even making the formal decision to transition my family member into this new home and community, significant time was invested by staff members to talk with us, to want to get to know the true needs of our loved one, to answer our questions and then listen and respond to our heart-felt concerns. From meeting with us, answering countless emails and phone calls, communication with The Blake has always been evident. The respect and sincerity toward my parent was present from the very beginning of the process, and that in itself, impressed us; the staff made it clear that they cared for my parent and wanted the best for him. The care givers received and welcomed taking care of my parent with open arms and have exhibited beyond-the-normal patience on a day-to-day basis. Since living in the community now for almost six months now, without a doubt, I can say that my entire family has said time and time and time and time again...we are SO thankful for The Blake. Our loved one is truly doing well. As a child of a loved one living in an assisted living community, to be able to say that my parent is well taken care of and loved and attended to and respected with dignity provides nothing but peace for my heart during this season and time period in life. So, again, without taking a second breathe, how do I respond when answering the inquiry as to whether The Blake should be the home for your loved one? YES is the answer, and you will be so thankful you did.

My grandma moved in 4 months ago e and she has loved it. Says it feels like home and that the staff are extremely kind and welcoming. The care is exceptional food of delicious and overall she feels very well taken care of.

So thankful to have my parents at The Blake. We have had an excellent experience that has exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff are so caring, engaged, and responsive. This is my families third stop on the ALF scene. At the first two facilities, we had a good experience, then a terrible experience and now at The Blake we have an amazing, excellent experience. Bring your loved ones to The Blake. You won't be disappointed.

My Mom joined The Blake as one of their founders in early January. We are extremely happy with the care that she has received. If we have concerns, they are quickly addressed by Angie Layfield. The Blake has been an extended family to my mother and my family.
